Terrible personal . The manager and the trainer are rude . I have tried some of this gym ( Palm Springs , Palm dessert ) and this one is the worst one. The worst part is the manager . He doesn’t believe to the members . He ask to the people to show the keys even when you are inside ! Honestly I don’t recommend this gym . The best one is the one in Palm Desert .

Great personal training with Oscar {owner}, Adrian and Miranda. Always very positive when setting goals and talking nutrition. Andria runs a tight ship and makes sure all clients have what they need at the club.

I was banned from this facility without warning after a single visit, and after reading the other reviews, I can see that this is a common occurrence at this club. It seems that they are only interested in allowing people in whose monthly dues are being paid to them, and will look for (or make up) a reason to ban any out of town visitors.I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for almost three years and have visited well over 100 clubs across the US and have not a single issue with any club until this one.On Sunday, January 7th I stopped into the Indio location for a quick shower after a long 6-hour drive. The next day, I attempted to visit the same location to get a proper workout in (I came dressed in my workout clothes, AirPods in, ready for a workout and didn't even have my shower bag with me), only to find that my key fob wasn't working.Adrian (the manager) came to the door and let me in, and walked me over to Andrea (owner) who was stationed with her laptop at a table just inside the entrance, looking up everyone's info as they scanned their key fob to get in, to see if this Indio location was their home club or not.Adrian then started questioning me on what I was doing in Indio, if I had a job (??), if I was here for work, how long I was going to be here, and other irrelevant questions for a gym employee to be asking a member.Andrea informed me that I was no longer welcome at the club due to "abuse of services" .... I asked if that was because I stopped in for a shower yesterday and she said yes. There was no email/text/phone call warning, just immediately banning me from this location and not finding out until my key fob failed to work. Mind you - the previous day I literally just popped in for a quick shower and left the bathroom cleaner than I found it, even picking up some stray papers that were on the ground and making sure I didn't leave any puddles outside of the shower area.My advice to this club is that if you do not want out of town visitors, consider switching to a different gym franchise that doesn't use "Workout Anytime, Anywhere" as one of their main selling points. I completely understand not wanting to be like Planet Fitness where people are camped out in your parking lot for days and trashing the bathroom facilities, however there is quite a bit of middle ground between the lax PF rules and the approach this Indio location is taking. Your actions and approach to "customer service" are a degradation on the AF brand. Do better.UPDATE: Just to respond to this statement from the owner:"When finding that your use of our facility over the years was strictly done for showering when traveling, we had to disallow your access."My access was blocked after using your facility for a shower ONCE, and as mentioned in my review, the second time I attempted to visit this location I was prepared for a proper workout and I didn't even have my shower bag with me. I am not sure where you got that my use of the facility over the years was strictly just for showering, as I usually workout before showering. The other reviews from people who have also been banned after one visit make it painfully obvious that you are quick to ban for the most minor (and often times fictitious) issues. Just admit you don't want people using your facility whose monthly membership dues aren't being paid to you.

Banned without warning or explanation.I had a very similar experience as Jerome B. and other previous reviewers. I travel full-time and have visited dozens of Anytime Fitness locations across the country. After two days at this Indio location, my key fob stopped working. The next day, the same thing happened to my travel partner.I have the same conclusion that this location is only welcoming to members whose dues are paid directly to this owner/manager.If you have a bad experience at this location, just know that other Anytime locations are better managed.I’ve filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau, but wanted to warn any potential members of this activity before they choose to support this location.

I went to this gym while I’m on Christmas vacation and they banned me after the first use. I’m still trying to figure out why. I had a trainer tell me to not drop the weights and I said ok and never did it again. Then the next day I could not get access. I spoke to 2 people who worked there and they wouldn’t even try to help me with what I thought was a problem with my fob. After waiting an hour in the parking lot for a consultation appointment they also turned me away without telling me why my fob did not work. I was polite every time I spoke with them but they gave me no answers as to why I could not access the gym. This is not a way to run a business, I’m amazed they didn’t even give me the time of day to figure out why I could not get in.

This place is a joke. I originally signed up at another location, but I travel a lot and found myself using this gym a couple times a week at times. They have about a third of the equipment where I originally signed up and they think they are worth more money?......lol. They won't be around long with the mentality that "no money is better than some". Typical small business owner, they locked me out and I won't be coming back. No wonder their ratings are so low.

I was falsely accused of slamming weight at this gym. I’m not sure the man’s name but he decided to terminate my account for me Denying slamming weights.I was told that a lady manager didn’t feel comfortable me working out there . I was racially profiled as a black male. I didn’t even slam the weights. I asked if they can check the cameras to show proof that I didn’t slam weights I’m over here working out on my own. The manager informed me that they didn’t have audio, I asked if I can come back tomorrow and they said no not this location. And terminated my account. For future members be AWARE you can get terminated because the staff don’t like you. And they falsely accuse you of doing things you didn’t do. Would not recommend this staff or how they handled this situation.

Been coming here for the past 6 months and I like it. Kinda high monthly membership, but it makes up for the 24 hour availability. Clean gym. Nice staff.

I've been a member for almost 15 years and been to multiple different locations for extended period of times and this location will lock you out of the gym if you are not paying their rate. I found out you can't really go to any anytime fitness unless you are paying their rate. If you call corporate they'll say their not sure and every location is different. Almost feels like false advertisement. I was hoping they would treat their loyal members a little better but was very disappointed. The Cathedral City Anytime Fitness location is managed way better and they know how to treat their loyal members, just look at the better Google reviews ratings the Cathedral City location has.

This gym is now located on Indio Blvd. This has been the worst gym I have ever been to or have heard of. To speak to someone about an issue takes forever. You would think that the two owners would put more time and money into the gym meaning upgrading equipment and getting thing's maintenanced. When a machine goes down it takes about 2 weeks maybe to a month to fix. Owners are like whatever about their clients. The set up they have doesn't get you motivated to workout , it's like your at a spa. If you really want to get a good workout in and enjoy not having headaches plus getting stuck in a 2 year long contract with 100$ to cancel then I suggest strongly looking for another gym. Don't get stuck like I did.

Would give zero stars if possible. After using this facility one time, my girlfriend and my keys were disabled with no explanation. I have been a member for over 4 years nationwide with no issues until this location. Don’t bother with this company. No response from the manager. Escalated to corporate with no response. Save your money and go to Planet Fitness.
