We had high hopes and great word of mouth regarding the facility and care of animals. Unfortunately, when I emailed the person to contact on the card I was given, Catherine Gilabert, DVM, never responded to my email. My cat was in a lot of pain, we were trying to help him and he died. She never called us back nor replied to our email. Lack of care and only about money. Shame on her and all that want $$

I can trust that they have my furry baby's best interest at heart. And they are less expensive. Although it is taking longer to get appointments.

Animal Samaritians saved my kitties, which in turn saved me. They extracted teeth from one kitty at a very reasonable price. They were able to get us in within a decent time frame for pet mishaps. All of my animals have been vaccinated with them. Their Vets are wonderful and the staff is nice. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait. But that is the least of my worries. Kudos and Thank to Animals Samaritans. Sadly I moved. And now I am on the hunt again for the best place possible.

Animal Samaritans offers wonderful lower cost services for spay and neuter. I haven't used them recently as they are not close and haven't had the need. .but, when I did, they were professional and kind.

I have been to three animal hospitals in the area and Animal Samaritans is by far the best. I called them Sunday morning, they immediately made me an appointment and I took my dog Charlie in. I only waited about 10 minutes to talk to the vet and dropped off Charlie. Dr. Gilabert was super nice and is very responsive via email. The staff are also very helpful and arranged for me to pick up my prescription in LA (I was visiting Palm desert for the weekend). Highly recommend this place :)

I am actually really upset with this place. Brought my kitty to get neutered after being called the day before to offer him an appointment for vaccine and neutered and pain meds for 300$ and some change. (He was on waitlist) I called yesterday because the consent said to take him to thousand Palms but the receptionist assured me it was going to be in Indio as the doctor who performs those surgeries will be in Indio and she is helping clear the waitlist. Perfect right? I get to my appointment today and they say that it’s going to be $682??? Excuse me? They said because the doctor there requires blood work and IV catheter for an additional 382$? That is ridiculous. How does this make sense. If the doctor in thousand palms is in the Indio clinic why does she suddenly require those services that Thousand Palms doesn’t require if she is at both places? That is abuse. Please help me understand how that is okay.

The vet was decent. Lacked in a bunch of things but the check in and check out staff are very inefficient and combative for any customer related requests as you are a perpetrator begging to be a customer. This on top of a sick pet is horrifying. The manager sticks up for the bad behavior and also joins in on this controlling yet inefficient staff. My finally straw with this place was trying to get a refund for a very high bill to put it on a credit card with no interest for 6mos to give me and my pet more living means. The woman behind the desk got super combative and was blaming me for her running my card before I even picked up my dog who had been messed around with in a cage for 5 waiting hours with no good reason. I was told I signed papers and all kinds of things without apology or resolution and then the manager came out and told me to stop arguing with this woman(I wasn’t) and that she had apologized(she didn’t) and leave. I did just that left. I won’t give them another chance to abuse me or my dog. Too bad because there is a lack of vets in the desert. If you want to be treated aggressively or just ignored by the front staff this is your place. Me and my animals need more.
