I am starting to wonder what happen to customer service and the customer always comes first. Is it even a thing anymore? If I could give "ZERO" stars I would! I can't tell you how dissatisfied I am with Schwab, not only this branch, as well as, the Estate planning department, others via their 800 customer service number, the branch manager & Eric Moser (the VP of this branch), Which is perplexing in itself, as he is completely disconnected from his clients, I wondered how he even sits at the position he does. And Just over all Charles Schwab as a whole. Very long story short. My mother & father placed their trust years ago in Charles Schwab and their broker. In doing so, I am sure they thought they were placing their funds in the hands of professionals and to be professionally managed. Well, that's not always the case. My mom passed away, and my brother is "legally" the POA of my father's estate, and doing an outstanding job. My father's life was turned upside down after being married for almost 60 years. He has full time care, lots of family around, and seemingly in a good place. And fortunately, my dad did well for himself. Maintaining his lifestyle was never a question, even with 24/7 care which is in the tune of give or take $15,000 a month. Sadly, it's just without my mom. Fast forward to 2 months ago, yes, I said 2 months ago (so remember that). There's a lot , and I won't bore you with all. Yet, we are now dealing with, lazy, poor performance, mismanaged & uncaring employees at Charles Schwab, as well as an unscrupulous broker, and honestly at this point we are being taken advantage of. When Charles Schwab was informed my mother passed, they immediately locked my dad's account (mind you it's my mom & dads account). I understand the security aspect of it all. Yet, the hamster wheel my dad and brother are on due to the irresponsible humans working at Charles Schwab, it's absolutely ridiculous! I'm livid! And that's putting it lightly. I took my dad down to Charles Schwab twice to try and fix this issue, my brother has been there 3 times, and each and every time, it's "Oh you just need to sign this and get us that", yet when he signs, they then tell him "oh we need you to sign one more thing", this has gone on for almost two months! Once I went down and Eric was too anxious to even speak to me, what a professional. Can you imagine your broker not even speaking with you yet making money off you. Disgusting! MY DAD and My brother have been locked out for 2 FRICKEN MONTHS. Money has been lost due to not trading, my brother even called ERIC MOSRER (sp) and asked him to please sell a position, Eric said he would, yet forgot. Great job Eric! My brother was so upset, he said to me that day, we lost 60K. I told him NO, CHARLES SCHWAB lost us 60K - not you, not dad, Charles Schwab, Period I realize dealing with Schwab especially the last 2 weeks, they are unethical, misleading, and the breach of duty they have on their end to their clients, is damaged. A broker is beholden to Strick regulatory guidelines and ethical code that carry stiff penalties! I am really questioning their wrong doings. No one has acted with integrity here! Hell even "Chewy" sent a card and flowers when my dog died! What did Charles Schwab do when my mom died, they locked my dad out of his own account with a boat load of money. And never sent or offered condolences to my dad! Yet the worst part for me, they never ever apologized to my father or my brother for this unimageable run around that they have been given! They have done everything asked of them and are still getting the run around and still not getting calls back! At this point, this is misappropriation of my dads' funds! What.... Is Charles Schwab just going to steal / embezzle / keep / never give access to my dad, to get his money, because that's how it looks! Eric Moser & the Charles Schwab team, pull your big boy pants up and take care of this ASAP!
