I took my car to Kameron Monkey Collision to install fender flares brand new still in the box. Original adhesive tape was removed and “better” adhesive tape installed. That was on 08.08.24, on 08.10.24 the better tape failed on the front passenger side fender. This resulted in causing the flare to separate and catch wind while driving on the freeway. It was ripped off the car and torn in half. I have tried to be in contact with Juan, the owner of this shop since the day it happened. I have sent pictures of the damage and multiple text messages as well. He has blocked my number, but not before lying about “ordering” the replacement part, and forgetting to send me the tracking number. When the install failed he did not send the bill to my insurance company and has ignored responding to multiple calls and emails from them too. I was trying to give the benefit of the doubt but I was a bad judge of character. It is now 09.02.24 and this still has not been resolved. I will be taking legal action to get this resolved.

You blame the quality of the parts and not the install. Funny how the other 3 are still attached and the last one installed by your shop fell off. I also have a signed authorization Vehicle Check in Agreement sheet putting me at your shop at 4:17 pm on 08.08.24. Your installation caused the failure not the part. You did not reply to pictures taken of multiple phone calls or text after the incident happened. Your professional response was to hide from the customer and the customers insurance company. You yourself made comments about being a former worker at Caliber. But still you decided to install the flares. You knew the origin of the part and you never mentioned the quality issues you are hiding behind now. I wouldn’t charge a customer or their insurance if my work lasted less than 2 days either. Say what you want to say about your reasons of not standing behind your work. You know you lied about purchasing the replacement parts, and forgetting to provide a tracking number. My insurance company has reached out to you as well and you refused to answer them after they said you were responsible for purchasing the replacement part. Not a shop owner that stands behind their work, or their word. Do not do business with them.

I 100% recommend going to Kameleon Monkey if you need any work done with your car. They had done an extremely good job installing the front lip, grille, skirts, spoiler, and painting the rims. They get done with the work in a timely manner, provide great communication, and respond to any questions that I had. They provided great service to me and will be coming again if I need any more work done with my car.
