“Hotel location, service, cleanliness and overall service was excellent - no complaints. Just a few things - you will pay a resort fee of 28 dollars, but they give you a meal credit of 30 dollars per day ( I personally think both should not be there , and the resort fee should only be for folks who want it as only one is given per room). The restaurants in the hotel are outstanding - we used the cafe and the Preston's - great breakfast. Honestly , have breakfast in the hotel, rather than go somewhere else and paying more. The hotel breakfast as freshly made omelets, waffles, smoked salmon, lots of pastries as well as the regular breakfast items on the buffet - and they tasted great!”

“Absolutely beautiful property, I loved the room it was spacious (love love love that), loved the decor. And, the bed was really comfortable. To this hotels management team I'd say that they should look into putting a full length mirror in every room...it's always nice to look yourself over before going out. Also, 2 towels in the bathroom just doesn't cut it for me.”

“We stayed here during June 2024. The location of the hotel is excellent- walking distance to Hollywood Blvd. The hotel is beautiful- a subtle glamor old Hollywood aesthetic. The room we stayed in, The Marilyn Monroe, was spacious with a comfy bed. The architecture and garden courtyard is usually where we had our complimentary savory and sweet croissants. The most stellar part of the stay was the amazing staff - from reception to valet- everyone was polite, professional, and warm. It made the stay even more special knowing the dedication of the staff. I will definitely be staying here agin and would recommend The Prospect to anyone looking for a quality hotel in Hollywood.”

“Super convenient location, great amenities all around it, very nice room serviceRooms: Needed a little more detailed cleaning, but definitely felt luxuryNearby activities: Staples center next door, decent restaurants all open late, and a Starbucks outside :)”

“Has a very upscale chic vibe, and the staff was pretty nice. The only problem that I had was there was a dent on the trunk of my rental that wasn't there before I had them valet the car. And I know that it wasn't there because I actually rent cars out and I do a thorough walk around of the vehicle whenever I rent them for myself. Also, it's right by the button to press to open the trunk.”

“Can we talk about Luxury for a moment? My fiancé's and I stay was just spectacular from the moment upon arrival. We have stay at numerous Omni's before, but the LA one is by far the most extravagant. Upon arrival the Valet guys were on their A game and extremely friendly. They even gave us pointers and tips on where to dine & drink locally. The font desk staff all deserve awards for their attentiveness, knowledge and efficiency. Staying literally in the heart of downtown LA was everything, I mean everything to us. We were not far from Silverlake, were we spent most of our time. The elegance, the upscale and personalized service @ the Omni is like non other. And please visit the pool, one if not the best Hotel pool ever. It was a spectacular and sexy weekend for us! “The room is comfortable and has everything you need, including a capsule coffee machine, a microwave and a refrigerator, and the bedding is very comfortable to sleep on. There are also comfortable sofas and office chairs in the room, and a large desk. There is a delicious free breakfast, a free tea bag and coffee machine in the lobby, comfortable sofas and cute fireplace decorations, free parking, and a great gym. What can I say? Overall 100 points!”

“Rooms: Everything very good, clean and good equipment. We only had a problem with the shower, which the frontdesk people sent to change immediately: unfortunately the maintenance people left our room smelling of cigarette smoke.
From there everything is fine!”

“The Ritz Carlton in Los Angeles, where I stayed in late April, offered a luxurious urban retreat. Located in the vibrant heart of the city, the hotel provides easy access to LA's renowned attractions steps away from Crypto Arena formerly known as the Staple Center. The rooms offered panoramic views of the cityscape, and the rooftop pool was a serene escape from the urban bustle. The hotel's dining options were a highlight, featuring innovative cuisine and elegant settings.”

“It took me a while to write a review, and I rarely (if ever) write reviews. I just simply wanted to take the time to express my gratitude for the hospitality and the services during my stay.I was there from May 4th to May 8th for a work conference in downtown LA. What drew me to this hotel was the consistent reviews I read online about the friendliness and hospitality at your hotel. I was also drawn by the southwestern aesthetics, since many hotels tend to have standard and more common interior designs, like minimalist and more modern designs. I was a bit skeptical if these reviews were too good to be true, but I'm glad I was proven wrong.I just want to give a special thanks to Jenny, Tia, Tiana, Dez, Daniel, Gilma, Pierre, David, and Jesus for their acts of kindness. They should have a raise! ;) I apologize for people I forgot to include. I appreciate feeling welcomed by your team. I enjoyed chatting with your team at the front desk or at the Caldo Verde lounge to know them a bit more. I truly enjoyed the humanness and the atmosphere there.Whether it was bringing additional towels, mats, or water (since I take medications), opening the passenger door of my Uber/taxi rides back to the hotel, fixing something in the bathroom, or watching over my luggage at the front desk to have a quick breakfast (special thanks for that!) before checking out to catch my flight back home, your acts of service and kindness do not go unnoticed. I didn't get to take as much advantage of the daily meal offer as much as I wished, but I did enjoy having your coffee lattes, cinnamon buns, huevos divorciados, and Little West Juice - Quench. If there is just one thing I would recommend, I hope that there could be a clock in the room just to track my time. It wasn't major, and (thankfully) I did have my cellphone to check the time as well as the room thermostat. It was truly a pleasure being a guest, and being there also made my experience in LA (first time traveling there) worthwhile. If I ever find a reason to return and visit LA, I'll be sure to book another stay at Downtown LA Proper Hotel to see some familiar faces next time. Thank you all so much! :)”

“Food 3 stars, location 5. We have been here at the hotel several times for a variety of functions such as weddings and business meetings, but that was about 10 or more years ago. We recently stopped by to begin celebrating a special day with lunch at the Terrace and a walk about the hotel and take a peak at the new pool they're building. The hotel itself is very dramatic. We had the fish & chips and the shrimp ceviche as nothing else interested us other than the two Manhattans which were very good. We subbed truffled chips for a few dollars more. I was however surprised at the limited lunch menu as it was busy for lunch. All other hotel dining locations were closed till dinner. It's always worth the $15 parking fee with validation or $25 just to look around this historic hotel as nothing in the LA area can compare to it. Also a great weekend getaway.”

“This place takes West Hollywood to places it hasn't been in many years. Quiet and private with some of the best amenities in town. Most rooms feature floor to cieling windows with spectacular views of the Hollywood hills or the city. The staff treats you better than your own family. You can't go wrong here. Whatever you do, make sure you take a night to dine at the restaurant and see the stars to to your left and in the sky...Rooms: The rooms have floor to ceiling windows from another time. The views are 2nd to none in Weho.Safety: They have a pretty secure door here. So you won't find non hotel quests just loitering in the lobby stargazing.Food & drinks: The restaurant here is simply amazing! It makes leaving the property very hard.”

“That was the most thoughtful surprise; I had a meeting back to back in DTLA for two days, which needed to be on time and prepare for it. My man, based on my meeting location, picked this hotel for me to stay in to make sure I won't be dealing with traffic going back and forth and being stressed out or late. It was such a great location and had everything that I needed: perfect internet service, room service, and also a mini fridge. Late bar, which, of course, I didn't get to use. They had a coffee shop, too, and I had a delicious breakfast, which was coming with my suite.”

“OK this review is directed directly to Aloha Smog and not best Western it a tight spot but they’re two different buildings and I just want to make the correction at this location as well as the credit and review goes to Aloha Smog which I have been going there for a long time and they are professional. They are kind and courteous. The prices are fair. It seems like by the time you get out of your car to get tested you’re right back in and on your way out. It’s very very quick because they know exactly what they’re looking for anyway, I would like to say thank you to the whole team at Aloha Smog.”
