I went in on friday 7/15 to ask information about opening an account and their promotions. They stated that they needed an appt to open an account. It was before 430 and they closed at 5. They stated that they were with their last appointment. They told me i could do it online and even suggested me that they can email me. I felt unappreciated and rushed to get out of there. 1. I know i can open an account online 2. Their link gave me errors. So i had to call saturday at 9:40am . Keep in mind this branch does not open weekends. I asked for the promotions and they stated that i will be ok and ill get a mail with instructions of how to submit paperwork. I get an email requesting to upload , but guess what they have my number wrong. They were closed by the time i got the email. So i called today and they stated that i no longer qualify for the promotion because it states im opening today 7/18 when i went to the bank the 15th then opened it by phone on the 16th. Promotion ended the 17th. I did submitted a complaint when i called today because it takes up to 5 days to get my number change after they review the call to determine if the operator was at fault or me. Plus i was told that i did not qualify for that promotion but i could dispute it 5 months into the account. How will i want an account with people that treated me this was. I always looked at citi as a great bank but im simply disappointed. Sadly i have a credit card with them from a store for over 15 yrs and I'm most likely going to cancel that as well. Horrible experience and waste of my time.
