They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They rebuilt a 350 sbc into a 357. I picked up the engine myself and installed it myself and broke in the camshaft by myself. Everything been going good nearly a year later. Engine rebuilt 2/23... I'm writing this 1/24 the Engine is in my 1963 Chevy Impala

STAY AWAY!!! This place is terrible. I took my truck to have an engine rebuild...Two months later I got my truck back after tons of excuses why it took so long... Within a few months I had a minor oil leak. Texted Efren no response. Exactly 11 months go by and I had only driven the truck to and from work during cover and the engine is draining coolant and white smoke is coming from muffler and oil leak is horrendous. The engine was so bad I asked to bring it in because its under 18 month warranty. Major excuses were given and not to bring it in right now. I took it to my regular mechanic and he said the engine was completely ruined. Now I am stuck with a broken truck on a job that should have easily lasted 4 years. WASTED THOUSANDS...if you look at most of the good reviews they are from fake profiles. Efren is an ok guy to talk to in person but I think he is a chronic liar. He said that he served in the army so if that is true I thank him heavily for his service. It could be that this shop is just slammed and not enough workers however, my engine was not given any love at all. It came back taped together and with wrong fittings.

I took my 99 honda civic to Castillo's after I was recommended from my older brother and Misdiagnosed from another shop they told me that my engine was worn out and after I told Efren what noise it was making he told me that the Catalytic converter need to be replaced that's what was causing the noise and my car runs better than before Thank again Efren ??

I blew up my engine because I didn't check the oil. I couldn't afford to hire a mechanic to take the engine out, so I had to take it out myself. I called some other engine rebuilders but Castillo was the best price.They came to my house and picked the engine up. A couple weeks later they brought it back looking brand new. Efran was very helpful answering questions I had about putting it back in as I have never done this kind of work before. After I finishing installing the engine, I couldn't get it started, I had it towed to a mechanic, and he couldn't figure it out either, he called his friend to do some tests and the guy said it had low compression. I started freaking out, I called Efran, and he said send the car to him and he will figure it out. The next day he had it running, it turns out I had installed the distributor backwards. The low compression readings were because it was a brand new engine with perfectly smooth cylinder walls. Efran even had his guys tighten up some hoses I never did right. I would recommend them to anyone.

Glad to see this shop still doing business! Had a 350 four bolt built in the early 1990s and the engine still runs strong. Keep doing a great work and giving good prices.

Really happy with the service from Castillo's. The manager, Efran, was top notch; very knowledgeable and, most importantly, trustworthy. After issues w my son's 4runner engine, he diagnosed quickly and did not over charge me. Hard to find honest guys out there. Thanks again Efran for all of your help. My son's truck is running great! ?

Joe took on rebuilding the engine in my ‘78 Chevy. He was great in sticking to the quote and even took my truck to a transmission shop for me to get the rear end re-geared. Now my truck is running great and I recommend Castillo Engines.

They fixed the valve drop on 2006 dodge charger rt....they did a great job on the engine, and they did it in a timely manner....engine sounds good and it runs good....great prices and honest work....most affordable engine shop I found
