Don't ever do business with Union Bank. I went into the branch to cash a check that was written to me from a customer of theirs and they wanted to charge me $10 just to cash it! That is absolutely ridiculous! They proceeded to tell me that they charge their customers the same fee. Seriously??? They wanted to take $10 of my money just to give me cash for a check their customer wrote! Unbelievable! The manager told me the $10 was used for them to bring cash into the bank... That is bullsh**!!!

Easy parking, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Usually quick service, no waiting in line for a cashier, unlike the appalling customer 'service' at the Bank of the West on Brookhurst. And, unlike Citibank or Chase, you can actually call the branch easily and directly.

Right now I am totally blown away by Sheik (sp?) response and follow with me for my small business rescue loan. He called me back to let me know where, how and what he did for my loan to push thru. Are you kidding me???!!!! I couldn't believe his efforts. THIS is what banking should be. Kim Kellner. I will update if I receive my loan! lol

Why is it so hard to get nice quality cash to give as gifts at this bank?! Once a year I go inside to get a few for my niece and nephew, and they give me a hard time, saying the truck hasn't come and that's all they have. Every friggin year! Do all banks act like this?! I am a long time customer.

I've worked for several band on my career. This office consistently puts there customers first. Offer the best products and knowledgeable staff. They have a drive up atm and walk up. They are open on Saturdays. They do everything from mine accounts to multi million dollar clients. No Bank has more loyal clients than Union bank.

Best branch in HB. I've been here 5 or 6 times and called them once. They are quick, thoughtful, focused and professional - every employee. Just talked to Floyd today on the phone and he handled everything fast and cleanly. The ladies working at the counter each one is a take charge help the customer type of person. Great management, great people.

D*** and dumber!! No wonder Chase is smoking out the these guys. Couldn't even manage a simple bank account closure - no they had to screw it up and now I can't even access MY banking information on line - I have to wait 3-5 business days and walk into a branch to get the information - so stupid! You guys suck!! I can't wait to see Chase hang their sign here. Do yourself and everyone else a favor and close the doors now!! EEGADS!!! so frustrated!!!

Be careful when using the drive up atm after hours. I went there this morning and the machine froze.I tried pushing cancel so it would spit my card back out but it wouldn't so I had to park and go inside.Thankfully they will open but major inconvenience when you are in a hurry.

I drove my grandma to the bank so that she could take out money from her account in the drive through ATM. I put the card in and then all of a sudden it wouldn't take the card all the way, so I wait, it finally takes her card, but then says "this ATM is currently out of service. So at this point her card is stuck inside. She goes inside to get her card back and the staff there said they had to call management to get it out. 15 min later, finally get it. Went to pull money out inside and they sent her outside to get it herself. She goes to try and the machine worked and then as the money was suppose to come out, again she never got her card back and it gave her no money and only got a receipt. So she asked the man to help her that was outside fixing them and he wasn't even helping. Just told her "just try to put your card in" while it was reading "please take your money and receipt" then it said to please wait and then finally again said "this ATM is currently out of service " so then she goes back inside to get her card and they said they didn't have it and then magically it was found on the floor inside by the teller. All in all we finally got her money and left but this was just absolutely horrible and uncalled for. A 3 min visit to the bank turned into 35-40 min visit. Less than 1 star forsure and I'm not even a part of this bank. I've been here 3 times to help out my grandma and I've had nothing but bad experience

I am in Shock, I just went to go deposit $230.00 back into my checking account. I counted the money out in front of this Lady. She proceeds to go count the $230.00 with the money counting machine after I clearly counted $230.00 in front of my self and her. She started fiddling with the machine a couple times. Counting the money over and over again. Maybe 3 times. Looked A little suspicious, I'm now watching her count it out by hand. She looks back at me to tell me I only had $210.00 ???????? ARE YOU SERIOUS? I deposited the $210.00 and walked out because of a time restraint. But I'll be back I'll be going back to find out her name and I'm gonna have that branch manager check her pockets... I'm not saying she stole my $20.00 but I'm almost 100% certain that she somehow lost $20.00 while messing with the machine over and over again. Horrible. Below 1 Stars, felt like I was just robbed

Outstanding customer service! The staff is super friendly; knows me by name and makes each and every visit more enjoyable. I've read some of the reviews regarding the "fortress doors" and the people not understanding that are obviously not locals. The banks in HB for a period of time, were getting robbed at least once a week. Those doors are for your safety, so please recognize the security measures are just another delivery of great customer service. As for the mentioning of speed of service; I've been going to this bank exclusively and consistently for nearly 2 years and have maybe encountered unusually slow service on only a couple of occasions. I'm more apt to believe the people commenting so negatively only frequented this location on one or maybe a couple of occasions and therefore my fellow Yelpers should consider this point when reviewing this bank. When you look at the totality of the circumstances, you soon realize that many opinions lack logic and reason and should be dismissed as relevant. I.E.; a ridiculously long explanation of someone speeding through the parking lot and causing an accident. What relevance does that situation have when reviewing this bank? And then this person grades them poorly? Irresponsible humans...
