I absolutely love Surf City Liquor. It is centrally located to our HB neighborhood. I am so grateful they are dog friendly. Marvat and staff are so kind and welcoming every day! The store is always very clean. This is my neighborhood mart to grab a quick snack and drink before I head to the beach, or grab a bottle of wine to take to a dinner party, or grab some essentials like eggs and coffee in a pinch. They’ve got everything! I love the camaraderie of stopping in, saying hello, exchanging smiles to encourage another amazing day, and promoting our local Surf City liquor! ?

I went into this liquor store as I have many times B4 . However, this time I went in and purchased 2 pks of cigarettes . And about 10mins later I received a text notification .And it said thank you for your 37.89 purchase from Surf City Liquor at 11th Street in HB. So I immediately called 411 to get their phone number. Which turned out to be a wrong number and it offered no new number.Other then this incident I have never experienced any kind of bad service. They are always kind and friendly. But their prices are rather high and on certain items , a little shady on some things . Though I'm sure it's probably to make up for the thriving brats from 12th Street on their E bikes .Love the dog , he's the most sincere human behind the counter. All in all it is convenient bcz it's local . Though I do think I'll be going over to 7-11 on 8th it's 2 streets East but the walk will do me good . Plus not having to worry about scandalous over charging . Just food for thought , I guess I'll just keep a mental note and push forward on the matter .But they are a neighborhood business why wouldn't they have to have a listed number available ? Makes no sense to me , does it to you ?

Place is a complete rip off. Charges double for random item. Doesn't label them. Crooks. 2 dollar drinks rung up and charged for 5 dollars each. Scam
