Terrible customer service. The storage pod I rented was in great shape and clean. But my issue is with the communication and billing. First of all it was extremely difficult to get ahold of anyone. I sent emails and called several times before I was able to schedule a day for my pod to be picked up and they didn't show up at the time they told me.The also charged me a full months rent for the pod when it should have been pro-rated. I called and sent emails with no luck. I ended up disputing the charges with my credit card company.

TLDR: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, AVOID!!!I don't even know where to begin. This has been the absolute worst, most stressful experience with a business I've had in my entire life. I used Aaron and his company Monster Moving in late 2022 to pack up my deceased father's things from his apartment. The items were placed in a storage pod from Stuff-It Storage (unsure exactly how these businesses are intertwined, but they definitely are) and moved to a location in Huntington Beach. For reasons I won't get into, I never was able to visit the facility. I decided that I wanted to move my items to a different storage unit with drive up access so I could easily access my things. I shopped around, found some good deals at nearby facilities, and then started the process of working with Andrea (owner, manager? - her title is unclear, especially when she claims to need approval from Aaron and vice versa) of Stuff-It Storage. This is where the trouble starts. I called Andrea at the beginning of October 2023 letting her know that I'd like my items moved to another storage facility. This was prior to my October billing date, and I was told I'd receive the paperwork to start the transfer, which never happened. I was charged for October and reached out again to schedule the move and to ask for a refund / credit towards the moving costs because of the unauthorized charge. I was told that I would be called back. Over the next three months that followed, she never once called back. I left voicemail after voicemail, sent text message after text message, and was put off, rescheduled, and eventually, my phone (and my boyfriend's) number was blocked and calls were screened. I was charged for November, and had been given FIFTEEN delivery dates, before they finally followed through. This was after continuously moving my schedule, hundreds of calls and text messages, and visiting four different addresses that I could find online - none of which was the current location of Stuff-It Storage or Monster Moving.I had more things I needed to store, and I couldn't continue to put off moving into a new unit. In December 2023 I moved into another facility, despite not knowing when I'd hear from Stuff-It or if I'd ever get my father's things back. I was hoping they hadn't been sold or discarded. I realized that furniture can be replaced, but sentimental items cannot. It's now January 2024, and after sharing my intent to file a police report (because at this point, they had essentially stolen my property) I was told that someone would be calling me yesterday (January 10), but of course that didn't happen. Then I was called this morning (January 11) to share that the team was at the warehouse about to load my pod (of course, I was skeptical because I've been told this before). I asked to be called when it was on its way, which happened, but even then I didn't know if they'd follow through, because they've lied before about being "en route".I took my sweet time driving over to the new storage facility, and I was shocked when I arrived at my new unit and the Monster Moving team was actually there. They had an issue with their lift (which I remembered happened the first time I used them, and they were four hours late and had to fix their lift upon arrival), but it seemed to be resolved by the time I got there. I greeted them but could barely speak, overcome with emotion, yet feeling numb all at once. Thankfully, the move was quick. They wanted to charge me $200 for the move, but after overpaying $690 (plus the rent at my new unit) I refused to do so. I explained to Aaron that I had been trying to do this since October 2023, and he told me that he had only become aware of the fact on January 2 that I wanted to move my things into a new facility. Andrea told me last week that Aaron had COVID, but he said that she told him that I wanted to keep my things in the pod a little longer. WTF. I asked how to get ahold of her and explained all of my efforts and neither he nor the other

DO NOT USE Stuff It Storage! After getting my credit card for their storage unit, they have charged me repeatedly for services that I didn't use. They also continued to charge me repeatedly for my storage account even after it was no longer being used. They use arbitrary billing dates that don't align with the actual service dates for which the storage is used, likely due to lack of organization, although it could be intentionally taking money from clients. They are continuing to charge me for a unit that I emptied and they refuse to provide written documentation that my storage unit has been closed.I had to call my credit card company to block Stuff It Storage so they would stop auto- charging my card.Andrea, the owner, just stopped responding to any forms of communication.Don't trust this company with your belongings or your money.

I'm completely disappointed in myself for picking this company all to save $100 a month. This is when "you get what you pay for" hits hard. The experience from the beginning was less then impressive to say the least! Pods were delivered no problem but having them picked up was like pulling teeth. Our last pod sat at our old house for a week and we only found out because we drove by to drop off the keys! New owners were irritated because they needed their pod there and were threatening to charge us because they were being charged another cycle. When I called StuffIt, they could have cared less and acted like it wasn't there problem even though they picked up the pod a week after they said they would. They never had my phone number correct even after giving it to them twice to update. Their system didn't have our new delivery zip code correct even though it was given at the beginning when pods were picked up so we were charged even more now. I didn't care and just wanted to be done with these people. This is where I lose my marbles!! Since I scheduled the drop off to our new house, I told them I don't want to be billed for a July since my account was being charged about the middle of each month since April! There was no set date to when I was being charged and rental periods on invoice are not even a full 30 days. When I'm speaking to the person on the other end, mind you this is a small mom and pop so it's the same person each time, I'm telling her I don't want to be charged so will the 10th work. I'm just being fed lip service at this point, now the hindsight is 20/20. Tells me oh you should be good so I have them set to be picked up this Monday, July 10th and I find another charge for July conveniently a week before I'm normally charged. When I emailed them I got a message back basically with the same tone. They could care less and wouldn't do anything about it. Said the System charges same time every month and left it at that. With all that being said, DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY. These are people that don't know what they're doing, or could care less about you as a consumer and give you little to no information about anything, never send email confirmations or have your correct information. Never takes accountability as a company and do right by the customer. Worst experience I've ever had with a company and it sucks because I'd rather support small business but hard when you get this service. Only giving 1 star because I'm forced too. They'd literally get none or go negative in my book. And look I'm not a person who normally bashes a business at their first "offense", but there have been multiple times that I can't just ignore.

Awesome experience, moving was made easy and stress free. Will definitely be using again and recommending to anyone who's looking to move without any stress.

I love STUFF IT, there pods alive on time, clean and most of all with a smile. From start to finish it was a smooth process and easy. I'd recommend them to all my friends if I had any.
