Shenouda has been taking care of my taxes for the last few years. Very quick and efficient tax services. Very responsive too and answered all my questions in a timely fashion.

I am being gracious by giving a 2 star review. I looked at this site and saw nothing but 5 star reviews. I don't believe that is accurate. We used Shenouda for several years with good service from Joe. Then suddenly in late 2020, during the purchase and sale of a home, Joe became unresponsive. He would not return messages. His administrative staff would make excuses for him and apologize, but despite numerous attempts to contact him, we could not. At first he had an out of office message on his voicemail, after that he would just ignore us. He did our taxes for two years without issue. We always paid promptly for services. But his sudden and unexpected refusal to talk to us or to answer our calls caused us tremendous grief. We had uploaded all of our tax documents for 2 years, tax deadline ofd 2020 was coming up, and we could get nothing from him. Not a message, not an email. Nothing! We had to scramble to find a new CPA. We had put our trust in this company only to be totally ignored when we needed them most. Either Joe was having some sort of personal emergency that made it suddenly impossible to respond to us, or there is another reason for his behavior. We are a same sex couple. I would hate to think that this fact made him decide after 2 years to suddenly stop interacting with us. In any event, the behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, and something I have never experienced from a professional in whom we have entered a confidential and fiduciary relationship. We have a great CPA now, and I am a forgiving person, but I can't be silent when I see Yelp with nothing but 5 star reviews for this outfit. Beware!UPDATED: If there was a death, then you have my condolences. However as a retired nurse and lawyer, I know that death is a universal experience. When something prevents us from helping clients with whom we have a fiduciary responsibility, we need to try to attempt to not allow our personal misfortune to spill over onto the the lives of those whom we are paid to assist. I tried to reach out to your company over a dozen times. Never was there an explanation or an attempt to refer us to someone else. I don't buy this excuse. This is not a 5 star organization!!! And Yelp needs to reflect that.

I definitely recommend Alfred from Shenouda & Associates to handle your taxes. I've been going to Alfred for the last two years and he has been extremely detail oriented, efficient, and quick in his delivery.I made a huge error in my taxes and Alfred amended my previous years and helped me get to where I needed to be. He's very intelligent, honest, and a master at his craft.I will be going to Alfred for all my tax needs and you should too!

Update to this review, all in all Mina @ Shenouda was able to save me about $15,000+ in taxes and penalties I would have owed! I am so grateful! Thank you again!

There are still certain people and businesses in this world, that you would be willing to travel across cities to see and do business with, regardless of the distance, the cost, or the time. Because they have earned your trust in their competence, their expertise, and most importantly their character. Alfred Shenouda is one of those rare, remaining types of people who truly cares about his clients, and for that, I am grateful for knowing him and having the privilege to do business with him. I have been with the Shenouda & Associates for nine years after leaving my previous tax consultant who I was unhappy with as he did not communicate. Since being with Mena Barsom and his staff I have found their thorough nature to be high quality and very professional. When communicating timeframes to get things done, this team always sticks to their deadlines. My returns have been made easier as Mr. Barsom goes through a detailed explanation and never any surprises.I could not be happier with the Shenouda & Associates expertise, knowledge of past and current tax law and the ability of this team to get my tax returns done with an easy e-file. They are very fair and their fees are in-line with what I would expect from a professional Tax CPA.

I have nothing but praise for Mina at Shenouda & Associates!I was facing a seriously penalty on my taxes and Mina put my mind at ease and told me he would take care of it and not to worry. He broke everything down into bite size pieces that were digestible for my feeble, fiscal mind and before I knew it, it was all over with.If you have been dreading doing your taxes or getting your books in order call Mina! He is the most caring, knowledgeable tax professional I have ever met and is an all around exceptional human!

What an incredible experience it has been working with Mina and Alfred. I went to them in tears, with an incredible amount of stress and anxiety about my taxes. I came out of the office a thousand times lighter. It took a single meeting for them to take the weight of the world off my shoulders and send me home to get the first good night’s sleep in a very long time. Mina is incredibly talented, smart and caring. He has a solution to practically any dilemma. The level of professionalism, but also warmth, he puts forth is unsurpassed. He is always available and happy to address any concerns, and somehow manages to put a smile on your face while talking about something as unpleasant as taxes.
