My grandson loves this place! All instructors are great. They go a step further in the lessons. Everyone has a great attitude, each their own style and techniques. I highly recommend!

It's an ok school there can be sassy people if your going into juniors it's worst if you are a hyper person you will most likely be liked for a little while and then when someone does a mean thing you will probably be mad but there's the good times to

M my y son is now 17 and started 2 years ago with formal drum sessions. The staff here was fantastic, as my son has Down Syndrome and therefor his “lessons” would look different than a typical lesson. Every instructor has been Simon tune with his ability and his preferred genre of music. His lessons are different I think in that it’s really. Jam session with instruction. He LOVES coming and literally cannot wait for the next session to play all his favorites he has practiced from the week before. Rock On! ?

Pat is an amazing, dedicated drum teacher. My son loves it and has grown so much. The communication with Larry is so easy and flexible. You can tell they care a lot about the students and the teachers. It’s an awesome place. Absolutely recommend.

Knowledgeable and fun teachers who care about the students and help them put on impressive performances. A great place to grow as a musician and learn how to entertain on stage, plus make like minded friends.

My 17-year old son has been taking voice lessons and in the Thursday night (R&B) performing group for a little over 6 months and he loves it. His voice coach is Amanda and his performing group leader is Joey and he has nothing but positive things to say about both of them. I'm not too involved in the process, except to pay and observe. Here's a disclaimer: I am a singer and was in a couple bands (WAYYYYYYYY) back in the day. I spent a lot of my late teens and early twenties in various music and voice lessons, and know the score when it comes to this area. My take on my son's progress? He went from zero experience with performing and vocal control to steadily and significantly improving in both areas. For a kid who had never so much as given a speech in front of a class to singing lead on four songs (and playing keyboard) in an R&B show...well the proof is in the pudding, so to speak. I'm not surprised at how hard my son is working, but I am surprised at how much self-confidence he has in these areas (so quickly). Great job, SOR!

Our daughter over the last almost two years had a blast practicing and performing with her band mates. She’s improved so much as a vocalist and on-stage performer, and that’s due to the awesome efforts made my her instructor Joey Vargas. We’re actually bummed out because she just turned 18 and will have to leave the school. I wish there was something for students that are adults to continue doing since we know she loves it. We do too. She’s got one more public concert to sing at, and I will for sure get emo at that one. Larry and the team at SOR Huntington Beach are above and beyond badasses and my family and I appreciate how cool they’ve been to her and us.

My 8 year old twins had an amazing time at Rock Camp! I cannot believe how good they did after just a week of playing with the other kids. They had fun, were inspired, and learned a lot. I am really impressed with the program and so happy that they had this experience!

I love the program for many reasons, starting with:-They are professionally organized with so many songs that I personally enjoy.-The instructors are fantastic and "real" with the kids, helping with their growth for the real world. There is no babying and enabling, it's about fun and teaching them to follow direction without attitude. Love this!-Joey has been my daughters instructor since the beginning of time (March will be 2 years). He is very encouraging, lifting and very real with her...priceless.-The shows are the best! They are so well planned, and make the kids feel accomplished.-My only complaint is the parking, lol...secret is to show up early. Thanks guys, we appreciate you and your influence! All the best, Kimberly

My daughter loves and thrives in the environment they have provided. She is learning while having fun doing what she loves the most with kids who feel the same way.

Wonderful atmosphere for kids. The staff are so kind and accommodating. My daughter started at school of rock taking guitar lessons. After a few months, I was finally able to get her to join one of the performance groups and she really loved it. She just did her first concert (outdoors of course) and wow!! I was so impressed that they were able to pull off such an amazing show despite All the difficulties with Covid and the fact that so many of the practices occurred over zoom. Now that’s rock and roll!!!!!!She has already signed up for the next performance group.
