Took my bug in to get the clutch fixed. Before even starting, he wanted money up front. Once my bug was ready and I went to pick it up, he said my engine needed a valve adjustment and it would be $40. I agreed to let him do it and left my bug for one more day. The next day he called saying something is wrong with my engine and took it all apart without my permission. Pete took out all of my performance race parts and tried to sell my parts on the side to make money on them. My engine was brand new with performance parts and he took it apart and ruined it, and charged me 2,000. Now my engine runs terrible. Do not come here! I will never come back.

New in town? BEWARE! DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP! Steals. He used my credit card to pay his personal expenses, including his Verizon bill and other bills. Don't give him your CC. Then, he demands cash before he does any work. He doesn't do the work. Never completed the work. Ripped me off, big time! Shyster! .

While Pete is a very nice man, he should probably hang up his hat. I spent over $2K to have him rewire my '68 Squareback, along with a couple of other minor repairs and got it back with hardly anything working and the wires were dangling all over the place. He asks for cash up front (why??) and then asks for more cash when he says he needs more time on the job. Now my blinkers blink emergency-like instead of "right" and "left", my clock does not work, the wipers do not work, the horn does not work...I'm sure there's more not working. The only thing that DOES work are the brake lights. I'm too afraid to drive her at night in case the lights stop working too :(

02-02-20 WARNING!!! DO NOT GO HERE!Brought my bug in today.Pete's business is a cash upfront place, just so ya know. (which is a little disconcerting)He'll be continually asking for more money, even before he's used up the last batch and there's no accountability...he can't tell you where your money went.UPDATE: 04-02-20 my bug has been here since the beginning of February and not even close to being done.UPDATE: 06-01-20Got my bug back today.Very disappointed.1) I asked for engine work.2) He also suggested suspension and brake work.3) I also asked for electrical work.He did 1 and 2 and some of 3...Headlights/taillights work...but no turn signals/brake lights or dash lights. Speedo/odo non-functional.He left parts on the floor of the car.Car leaks oil. Took it back for scheduled oil change. Told him about other issues he should have addressed during original work. He changed the oil, but didn't follow up on the other issues. Car still leaks oil.(check the photos closely)Do you want to take your car to a junkyard hoarder?

Cash only business. Prices are very reasonable. Replaced CV boots and got the vehicle back at the end of the day.

Had the absolute worst experience ever from a mechanic. I never write reviews, but I have to warn others, do not go here! Takes longer than should and calls for more and more money. Lies about prices and does repairs without consent. Has people pay cash up front and throws the money around on who knows what. I took my car back after 3 months, it's still not drivable and way over agreed price.Services: Engine repair

Do not go to this shop! Pete will just take your money! I brought my 914 1.8 in to get the timing set because something was way off and the carbs adjusted because I didn't have time or knowledge to do it. Pete charged me $250 up front with no eta. I called everyday to get an update so I could plan when I needed to pick it up. A couple of days in Pete asked how much I have to spend on the car because he was going to offer to "go through my carbs for $1,000", I laughed at him because you can buy brand new carbs and linkage for less than that and I rebuilt one of them 4months earlier (rebuild kit costs $40). A week later and Pete did not fix a single thing on the car and said he didn't know how to get the timing right but he said he did get the carbs set really close and sealed a vacuum leak. I towed the car home and started looking at it myself. One carburetor wasn't even squirting fuel! 3 hours later and zero additional cost I cleaned the carbs, set the timing and adjusted them myself through YouTube. And Pete's vacuum leak fix was putting a home made cap on a vacuum port that was sealed on the inside, so he didn't even do that. This is the same motor as a VW Bus and he couldn't figure it out. If you're a VW shop and you can't set the timing or clear the carbs on a VW motor you shouldn't be in business. Don't go here!!!

Do not do this... You will be constantly shoveling money into repairs that you may not need. Also note that this is a cash place only so be prepared to get non-stop calls for more money as time goes on. We waited 4 weeks for repairs that should have taken two and work that was done without prior approval. This was a mistake I won't make again.

Don't do it. It's cash only and Pete the owner will call you every other day asking for money not getting permission before doing the work. His shop is a mess, his quotes and notes are illegible and will leave with somethings getting done and others not at all. BEWARE!!!

Pete has ben the new Bossman for a wile he is great realy knows VW 's I have onley owned bugs and have had 2 buses I love them im a VW person all the way ..My Friend Jerry from j and R "s retired ?....He sent me to Precision Vee Dub ! Pete does great work and is a Fair man he'll get the job done and you do it right he won't keep your car for months and he stands behind his work. On a big job like a complete engine overhaul he will ask for deposit cash up front but that's fine because there are so many people that don't come back for their cars !! and he uses it for parts he purchases that's fair what more can you ask for !! He's a really nice guy as well !! So far older vdubs upright oil cooled engines or pancake Motors he's definitely your man I do recommend him!!! Thankyou PETE!!

Towed my car in without knowing Pete and I needed a lot of work. He told me if I helped out with the labor on it he would take money off for my labor! And throughout the whole thing I learned how to work on and fix my car if I were in a bad situation. Pete is a guy who really knows what he is talking about when it comes to aircooled Volkswagens he has been working on them for 49 years! And he has the best prices in town! I definitely recommend bringing your VWs here!;)
