We had an account with this bank for over 20 years and I recently closed the account and moved our business to Chase. Although I don't live in Huntington Beach, I'm forced to work with this terrible branch because the account was opened here. I prefer to work with the Tustin branch as they are more customer focused and easier to work with. Every other month, I drop off checks to be deposited at the Tustin branch and I do everything on line (bill pay, check balances). We are a LOW maintenance customer and account. Recently, I had two requests: ability to deposit checks via app and change the name on the account to reflect my current married name. I emailed my marriage certificate and CA Drivers License and was asked to fill out 5-6 different forms from Emma. She also requested an I-9 document that reflected my sole name when this account is for a non-profit corporation where an I-9 was also requested for the corporation. I refused to accept that I had to provide an I-9 form with only my name on it as I don't have any financial ownership to this account - I only manage it. On Saturday, I went to a Chase near my home and after 30 minutes, opened an account. No hassles. No extra documents. They listened and met my needs. Pacific Western Bank, Huntington Beach branch is extremely challenging to deal with. I may have stayed with them if I could work solely with the Tustin branch, but I'm forced to work with the HB one. They make the customer experience extremely difficult and I don't have the time to go back and forth with unnecessary documents. I am very happy with our new account with Chase and recommend it to others!
