I have been a member since 1994, and ever since Bill left this unit, it has gone downhill. I was told last week I could walk in to do a new account for my daughter, and it's best to get there when they open. We did arrive at 845am. Stood till 9am. Checked in and was told to have a seat they would be right with us. After sitting for 10 minutes the chunky supervisor, (apologies I didn't get her name), called us up to the desk to tell me an appointment was needed or we would have to wait an hour. I said well it's too bad, one of the gentlemen there couldn't get us an account real quick as they haven't helped anyone yet, and it only takes 5 minutes." She quickly corrected me and said it takes 45 minutes to open a new account. I responded well I added a young adult account for my other daughter in 2022 at the HB branch that recently closed and had no appointment, and was in and out in 5 to 10 minutes." She responded that's not how long it takes. I replied well at that branch, that's how long we were there. She proceeded to say no, that's not how it happened. I said, "So I'm lying?" She said no... but we can't make a card today anyway. Our machine is down. Her attitude was terrible, and to be honest, I spoke to her when she unlocked the door to let us in because I am familiar with her. I told her we were getting my daughter's account set up. Why not say oh I see. Well, to let you know you do need an appointment or you might have a longer wait time, and it takes 45 minutes to do a new account. Do you have the time? Maybe let us know right then the machine is down? How about when we checked in, the teller mentions the appointment, time it takes, and the machine is down. Terrible service all around. How about if your customer seems certain it only took 10 minutes before, you just ignore it and let the customer feel like they are right, which I am, instead if making a loyal 30 year customer feel like he's a liar??? What is wrong with you? No one gave good service today. Either rude and snarky or misinformed.

DO NOT BANK WITH NUVISION. I've been a member here for over 10 years and someone recent committed fraudulent activity on my account. After filing a dispute immediately and waiting a week to get THOUSANDS of my hard earned dollars back they sent me letters saying they are finished with their investigation and have determined the activity not to be fraudulent. Is this a joke!? That's what I get for trusting a small credit union. I am beyond disappointed in this company. They clearly will not conduct thorough investigations for their customers.

This past week my husband and I stopped in at Nuvision Federal Credit Union in Fountain Valley to put some money into another CD they were offering. We were very fortunate to have the assistance of Shekiba Azad. This was the second time she waited on us for CD purchases. Both times she was very pleasant, extremely helpful and very patient with us. She went out of her way helping us with the forms and even helped us with paperwork beyond what most people would do. Upon leaving she told us to come back if we had any more questions. The next day we did so we went back and she was just as friendly and again spent lots of time with us. Even when I called her the next day she guided me over the phone on being able to change my password and get into my account. She surely went above and beyond in her assistance to us and we think Nuvision should recognize what a great employee they have in her. Thank you Shekiba. Karen C.

Been with them for a year and I'm saving good money. They are pretty much all very helpful and nice. I've had trouble with one guy at the for er Bolsa Ave. location but nothing I couldn't handle. One lady on the phone was an idiot and 2 others tried to deceive me but they will get there some day hopefully. All in all I'm pleased with Nuvision and I highly recommend working with them for all of your personal financial and investment endeavors.

The most important thing for any type of business especially dealing with consumers is the customer service, unfortunately Nuvision Credit Union doesn't seem care about that! They allow their staff to over talk their clients, and to express their irritation toward their clients. I do hope they understand that there are so many other credit unions that they are competing against, and one stands out is the one can provide great service to their clients. They truly disappointed me especially I have been a member for number of years.

In October 2023 I lost my debit card, ie was unable to make weekly purchases for over 10 days. The replacement card was needed urgently, as I'm the primary caregiver for my husband who has alzheimer disease. The phone agent/rep offered I go to my nearest NV banking location(Huntington Beach CA) to have a card printed from them. So off I go to this location. The Edinger location was shabby inside and out, parking lot full, but only one customer doing business inside. Figure that one out. So I ask a banking clerk to have a replacement card, she then turns and asks her boss(who was hovering behind her) if ok to start the card process, he then told her to tell me that the card machine was broken/out of order. And she had no idea when it was going to be repaired. No options or mitigation efforts on their part, so I left. This NV location on Edinger is not very professional. The Manager is lacking in human relation skills, the clerk was fearful and unknowledgeable. Avoid the Edinger location if you can.

This credit union has screwed up multiple times, I've had to call 3 consecutive months, first I made a payment for more than the minimum payment, they applied it all to the principal, then told me I missed my monthly payment & charged a late fee had to call to tell them apply the remainder of Xtra payment after min payment applied towards the principal, then next month sent me duplicate bills after I made the payment, making me think maybe they didn't receive it?? Got lost in the mail?? Did I mail it too soon?? & Now 1 week before it's due again not receiving any bill, with payment stub to send in so now I have to wait till Monday for them to get their team together to figure it out, never had this much trouble with my previous cars credit union Golden 1, seriously need to switch

Update: Helpful rep reached out after my yelp review and came to the rescue. Helped me make sense of it all and showed me how to do everything I needed to do. I am now on top of things and see my next upcoming tax payment hasn't been made and is coming near a late fee so I'll be putting the skills taught to me by the Nuvision employee to the test here (unfortunately) and will reach out before the late fee is assessed or pay it myself. At the end of the day you've got to assume the worst and plan for it. If the option was given to me I wouldn't escrow anything and would just pay my own everything.

Lacking in efficient customer .Automated system is NOT so automated, it's lonnnng wait times on the phone. Recently I received call re suspected fraud on a charge. Since I am unsure that the message left was legit I called the bank directly. Shocking to learn there is no option to contact fraud department. I would think such an option would exist. The purchase I made was declined, it wasn't an unusual charge, nor excessive amount (under $100).

Hey my names Dylan, banking with you all for over a decade now and it was my first time getting an auto loan through Nuvision. Kounddeh from member relations was EXTREMELY helpful and thorough and streamlined the process of me getting an auto loan. Not to mention her customer service was impeccable! She went the extra mile for me and im very appreciative. I spoke with others in member relations and they did NOT make the process as easy as Kounddeh. Very disappointed with a Nuvison. Ive been a member for 7+ years and this is my first bank. Me and my entire family use Nuvision. The customer service has been good except for this last year it has done a complete 180. Every time I call it's a nightmare and such a hassle to deal with the staff members. I don't know what changed Nuvison but something better because this is the first time I've really considered finding a new bank. I needed help today because every time I send a transaction through Venmo, Nuvison declines my payment because it thinks it's fraud. This is very frustrating as I use Venmo to pay my girlfriend, family & most of my bills. I've done my transactions this way for 3 years already & have never had this issue. I was told by a staff member today to pay through Venmo once a day & to combine my transactions into one lump sum. I was also told to basically work around it. Explain to me how I can send 1 lump sum once a day when I sometimes pay multiple people daily? I was transferred to another department just be to hung up on. My initial problem still isn't resolved & I am very disgruntled!

Been with my credit union that was bought out by Nuvision for over 7 years. Had two previous car loans through my credit union and service had been great. Decided to sell my car and upgrade and use them because I had good experiences in the past. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. Wish I had read these reviews first. I logged into my profile and it said "your personalized loan rate" for used auto. So I applied online for my auto loan. Had to follow up with several phone calls over several days before I could get the process going. Then I was asked multiple times for the same verification of income and insurance I uploaded with my application, and was told they "didn't have it". Then they quoted me a much higher interest rate.I questioned the rate in my secure login, they said oh that's for new cars, etc, multiple lame explanations why those rates didn't mean anything, the 2018 car I am buying was too old, even though I have good credit, not good enough, it went on and on. After going nearly almost three weeks, delays in getting paperwork, delays in someone getting back to me and indifference at best when I asked for clarification of the process and how much longer this will take, I received a call and was quoted a final rate, and payment amount. This rate was again different.Then I was sent the paperwork and the rate AGAIN was different, but I could have the one previous rate if I chose to use auto pay. I do not have a problem with autopay, but no one was transparent ever about the fact that there was two different rates, one if I paid directly or one if I set up auto pay. So starting from the bait and switch rate on my login, the rates changed four times. I asked to talk to the supervisor, and called my local branch manager. Branch manager was very kind and said they had gotten many complaints about the rates being misrepresented and he would do what he could to make it right. Talk to the California loan officer supervisor and she was "apologetic" for the "miscommunication", said they would use this as an opportunity to train, but couldn't do anything about the rates for me. I called back the branch manager and he obviously had been hamstrung in the interim and told me he was sorry and I had to deal with the Ca office directly. Needless to say, total waste of time. I went with another local credit union I am not even a member of, got a better rate and was done in LESS THAN 24 Hours!! I feel like they were misleading and indifferent at best. So Sorry I Wasted My Time!!!

We wanted to open a CD with the rate at 5.15% I was told to come in on Saturday. Came in and was told I had to make an appointment. The teller told me to come in Saturday. No mention of making an appointment. We were told, it would be a 45 min wait. Ridiculous. Time was an issue for us. Had I known on Monday to make an appointment, I would have. Do Better Nuvision! We have been with you for over 30+ years and this is how you treat your customers ?

I am updating my review about this Credit Union and removing the bad experience I encountered 2 months ago. Beside Adel who is always great with helping, I recently received help from Darlene A at the HB branch,also Ivan E, Lisa K and Bryan O from customer service that were able to provide excellent help. This is how it should be to begin with. Thank you all for the excellent customer service.

A few weeks ago, I had a wonderful experience at NuVision Credit Union in Huntington Beach. My loan officer Francisco M. was very diligent in helping me find a lower interest rate for my vehicle. He was patient and very accommodating to my needs. I truly felt value as a customer with his exceptional customer service. I will promote NuVision FCU among my friends. What a great bank!
