It was my first time at NQ Hair Salon & Spa today. I am usually very nervous about getting a haircut but I am so glad that I took a chance on this place! I came in for a trim and got my hair done by Julie. She is very accommodating and gentle on my hair. And I felt that she really listened to my requests! The wash, cut, and style was $50. I would definitely return here. Support your local Asian-and-woman-owned business!

This is an adorable, reliable, comfortable place to be pampered! I am so glad that Shelly Smith has made this her home. Shelly is quite simply, hands down, the very best person to cut and style my hair, ever, in my long and hairy life. She is a no fuss and no bother kind of person. I think the salon around her is a great friendly place to drop in and just let them make you look great. There is loads of parking, all free. If you go at lunch time you can pick up Popeyes fried chicken. Go early cause there is a cute bagel shop next door. That is what I am going to do. Remember ask for Shelly Smith!

I came into the salon for the first time for a consultation. Julie was very rude . She aggressively pulled my hair back and brushed my hair very hard . My hair is only should length she was trying to tie in a knot. She was very rude . When I called to ask for pricing she h told me I must come to the salon she was Busy and hung up on me . I guess that should have been my warning . Horrible customer service! I should have read the reviews before coming in! Not the place to go! A haircut should be relaxing not aggressive . You are paying for a service . It should be a relaxing experience not aggressive ! I do not recommend anyone to have this experience she she not be in this profession. Very sad ! To be clear my hair was not tangled! You took a dirty brush and tried to pull it thru my hair aggressively! You also took my head and aggressively tried to put it back! When I initially approached the salon the gentleman at the front asked me to call you on your cell phone . I was potentially a new client . When I called you Julie , on your cellphone you were very rude and hung up on me saying you were too busy! My hair is not "tangled" at all! I went to a salon down the street they were very professional and I received a very nice haircut and they received a very nice tip for their amazing service! You should not be in the customer service or hair industry! Again horrible customers beware!

I can't recommend the nail services at this spa enough. Tommy has been doing my manicures and Tina my pedicures for years. Their work is beautiful and lasts longer than any other professional I've gone to. What I love most about them, though, is their pleasant personalities. Julie has been amazing and can't go anywhere else. O have been going in this salon for like 5 years. The way she take pride and care of my hair is simply great! She treat every customer with tender loving care. I always leave the salon satisfied and happy. I definitely recommend this place on every beauty needs. Hair, nails, aye lashes, wax and even skin care!!!! Ones you tried it, you will know what I meant.

I'm hesitant to write this because I don't want to let the secret out...but this is the BEST PLACE for lashes around! I've been to so many different places that charge twice as much for half the quality job that Julie does. On top of that, she's so sweet and responsive that making an appointment is super easy. I can't recommend her enough! I'm getting more compliments on my lashes than ever. Definitely worth the drive from LA.

I have come to this Salon with Julie for several years already. She does my Brazilian Blowout twice a year since 2017. The treatment lasts me 6 months, instead of 3-4 months like adds advertise, and I wash my hair every other day. It probably lasts that long because she is very detailed. Julie is a very hard worker and flexible schedule to accommodate to the clients. She works week days ( late) and weekends in order to adapt to the client’s needs. Julie is very professional and is always bringing new services to the salon, like nails, facials, etc. Another important fact about her is that she has fair prices, despite been in Huntington Beach, she is pretty reasonable with the prices, with the plus of giving and excellent performance in every treatment she does. Absolutely recommended and Im a faithful customer.
