Unfortunately, Dave has closed his doors with unfinished business. He sold us a car that was supposed to have a new engine running perfectly and Unfortunately that was not the situation. Then, while I'm home recovering from surgery, he drops the car off with no notice, and stops returning messages. I couldn't tell you what kind of mechanic he was because he made multiple commitments to fix the situation but never did. I suppose the review doesn't matter now, but the reason I never left a poor review previously was due to him committing to make it right for us. By the way, I'm a single income Dad with 4 kids. The 6K he believes he's getting away with is a lot for me. I suppose we'll see ya in court Dave Michael Mclean!

I've been Dave's customer for over 20 years & he is the one I trust to work on any vehicles I have brought to his shop. No BS, great workmanship & prices on any repair work. He will tell you the truth which I greatly appreciate. He is my go-to guy for car repair.

If I could give 10 stars I would! My catalytic converter was stolen sept '22 and Toyota did little to help me navigate the situation. For 8 MONTHS Dave not only held my car at his shop but was very responsive to the back and forth updates I had about parts and I truly feel without his help and involvement with Toyota I would still be without a car. Dave was literally my advocate with Toyota throughout the entire process and I cannot thank him enough. Will definitely be coming back for all my car needs even though I'm not in the area.

Dave is the man. I’ve had 3 cars in there. Planning on going back for my shocks soon. Jeep expert too. I’ve had a WJ for 15 years and he’s the most well-versed Jeep guy I’ve ever found. Knew about the friction-modifier for transfer-case… probably saved me a $1000 on a new TC. Thank you!

Dave is the most honest guy you will ever know. I drive from redlands California all the way to Huntington beach just to have McLean auto take care of my car. He's always done right by me and I simply do not trust anyone else with anything to do with my car. He's a jeep expert. I'm on my 3rd jeep that he takes care of for me. But the most important thing and I say this again is that he is an honest person. And that is something you just can't put a price on.

My car was having some kind of mystery problem that could've ended up with me having to replace the transmission. Dave figured out a way to fix it without having to spend a couple thousand dollars. Super friendly and always explains exactly what he's doing. I will definitely be taking my car to him in the future. I highly recommend this place!

I have been going to Dave for years. I have a Mercedes, so it definitely saves me a lot of money. Dave is professional, and honest. Does great work at a reasonable price. Prompt service as well. What more can you ask for?

I'll admit my review might seem a little biased because Dave and I used to work together at a well known car dealership but that's not why I'm Giving him a 5 star review. I left the car business to get into the rental car biz. On 2 occasions I've had local renters who were only renting cars because their cars had broken down and were in the process of looking for a mechanic. Both times I recommended McLean to them and both times these customers came back to thank me for the recommendation. Both customers stated that Dave was amazing to them, was able to fix the problems and didnt try to rip them off. Both have said Dave is now their go to mechanic.
