I used to be a frequent customer of JoAnns on Goldenwest before they closed the store permanently. Today I went to the location on Adams and Brookhurst to look for fabric. The fabric area was so sloppy and unorganized. Many of the bolts had the fabric slipping off and had some type of plastic tie to try to keep the fabric in place, instead of being neatly pinned in place. Minimal organization around type and color. Very disappointed. The Goldenwest store was neat, organized, better kept, and clean.

Olivia who helped me was amazing!!! She was very helpful and knowledgeable! She took jet time and added up all the fabric I needed from my scribbles

No help at all today. Workers' were rude and were not friendly at all. I tried them today but will make the drive to M&L from now on. Please work on customer service & making everyone feel welcome

service...they dont answer the phone but offer curb side pickup... Off clock employees walk around the store talking to those on the clock and no one answers yes no questions on the first or second query if there was a closer alternative or I dont have any questions...Im stuck with snotty service

I have been sourcing a specific yarn that is hard to find these days, online it was showing in stock, so I placed an order for 10. Come to find out they were only able to fulfill 2. I've been calling for 2 days to cancel as I will not drive out from Riverside to OC for only 2 balls of yarn. I've called a total for 10x and no answer. Super disappointing.

There is nothing stocked, so many shelves are empty! Staff say “no we dont have that” but sometimes if you order online you can pick it up 2 hrs later. Most of the time if you find something online that says “in stock”, it is not in stock. Hasn’t been for weeks.

The staff at the front was incredibly slow and rude. 2 women were there to check people out which would have been fine only they were not checking people out. They were answering absurdly long questions about crafting, and the one manager had to assist the possibly new employee so there was really maybe one or no people actually ringing up. Meanwhile the line is at least 5 people long and growing. The younger employee decided to stop helping all together and not call up the next customer to pay, but rather wait until her boss, the other cashier, to answer a question about how to sew. She patiently sipped her water while waiting to find out if she should go on break or stay and help with the line. When should have been HELPING WITH THE LINE. It seems that the “management” here is likely a bunch of kind women who can’t manage employees for the life of them and get walked all over by lazy employees. The store is also messy and disorganized and poorly stocked. SKIP this place and find a store that has better management.

Alberto is amazing!! I came here a few months ago to pick up fabric for a photoshoot the following day. I was really stressed out because the online pickup was not loading/super slow & I was on a tight schedule. I wasn't able to find help with the in-store staff at the time or customer service over the phone. However, when I returned and Alberto was at the Fabric desk, he was SO helpful. I was able to pickup my order quickly and efficiently. He has a very positive attitude & genuinely seems like he wants to help out. Cherish employees like Alberto!! He is playing an integral roll in the company culture & customer experience here!

Positives: Store is clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good sales on jewelry making. Negatives: My favorite department, jewelry making, is sadly lacking in inventory which prompts more drives to Irvine than I would like. Inventory is consistently off. App says 5 in stock only to be told out of stock. Recently I ordered 3 items for pickup. They only had the one that I could live without so I decided to not get it. A week later they said it was picked up and charged me! It's only a few bucks. Still waiting for a response. My New Year's Resolution will be to shop less here.

JoAnns online shopping is frustrating and I am not sure they look at all incoming orders or messages. Placed an online order on Dec 1st and everything was in stock. It is now Dec 11 th and it's still processing ! It will all be out of stock by the time they get to it. This has happened 2 years in a row so I would not recommend online shopping

Do not ever order through curb side pick up ! I placed an order waited for ever for it to be ready, then when I finally got there and notified the store, then proceeded to wait by the curbside pick up for another 20 minutes I called the store about 12 times in the span of 20 minutes and not one person answered I then went inside and called and they are blatantly ignoring their phones. I went inside to tell them I have been waiting the curbside pick up and if I can just grab it instead. The lady in the front went ahead and gave me attitude saying "as you can see, were pretty busy in here and there's only three employees" Ok then why have curb side pick up?! Like it's my problem they are understaffed and somewhat busy. So basically don't waste your time doing curbside pick up unless you want to go ahead and go in line and pick it up just like you were just in stores Shopping

Y'all need to stop cutting on labor because it's affecting customer service. You guys only had 2 workers working in the whole store.
