Dr. Lewis and his entire staff are amazing. They truly care about their patient's well-being. Dr. Lewis spent the time to go over all our questions and we never felt rushed. I can't recommend this pet hospital enough!

My dog has been going here for 4 years and we were trusting them to help him get better. They recommended Thyroid medicine when he was starting to gain weight…it took a little time to get it right, but we finally did and his weight got under control. The most recent order got delayed as the dr decided to change his dosage ( without seeing him) which caused our baby to go with no meds for nearly a week and it seems his weight issues are back. Our guy also started having allergies a few years back that we were treating with shots ( get charged for a visit and shot every time) and it only works for a short time. They also recommended shampoo that we have been religiously using…still our baby is tearing his fur off. We only get recommendations for more shots and shampoo…so disappointed in this practice. Trying a new vet and hoping for much better care. Not to mention the curbside service ?

Dr. Lewis and Dr. Nichols are wonderful, compassionate and caring vets. They both take the time to explain everything in detail and we never feel like we’re being rushed when asking questions. Our two pups and cats are well taken of here!❤️. The office and tech staff are also outstanding, caring and extremely helpful!!

My experience during this last visit was exceptional, thanks to the caring team lead by Dr. Nichols. Their commitment to going above and beyond to address all of our concerns and questions was truly remarkable. They demonstrated a high level of patience and empathy, which made me feel valued as a dog mom. Overall, it was the best visit yet, and I am grateful for their outstanding service.

Great first visit for my 2 pups. Everyone was great, nice to deal with and explained options well. Appreciated the personal touch of the follow up to make sure all was good after vaccinations!

Huntington Beach Pet Hospital is staffed with caring individuals from the front desk to the Vet. My dog Sissy always receives the best care. Would definitely recommend them.

The staff are very respectful and the vets are very knowledgeable. They are all wonderful people who will take care of your animals as if they were their own. I appreciate that they are still being conscious of everyone’s health and having people wait outside. The office is clean and well maintained. My dog actually enjoys coming here and will sometimes walk me by the office while we’re out just for fun!

Response time to scheduling requests on their PetDesk app is a bit slow (it isn't immediate or within the same business day even if you put in a request earlier in the day), but the vet and staff are all great. Prices are fair and I appreciate the transparency. I know my furbaby is in good hands when I leave her in their care. I haven't seen Dr Lewis in a few years (due to our scheduling availability), but Dr Nichols is just as fantastic. Many thanks for the care you give to my Abigail.My husky just had a non urgent but worrisome medical situation and they were able to see her in a few days and schedule her in for surgery soon after. She is recovering just fine after the effects of the anesthesia wore off. I can always trust my furbaby is well taken care of and diagnosed and treated properly.

It's unfortunate when a pet hospital puts profits before patients. We had been taking our dog here, as needed, for the past couple years and something always seemed off with the exams they ordered and some of their 'required' tests. Last year, our dog experienced an issue with her kidneys that we were told would require a life-long medication. For the past year, we have paid this pet hospital a premium to have them fill the prescription, but as soon as we suggested we fill our prescriptions through PetMeds at half the cost, we were told that they would need to do a whole new round of tests that would cost hundreds of dollars. Upon asking why they would suddenly need to run new tests to prescribe the medication they deemed as necessary and life-long just one year prior, they became combative and said "if you don't like it, go somewhere else" and hung up the phone. Today we called to see if they had a change of heart and were told that we are no longer welcome at the practice and to take our business elsewhere. I guess they recognized that the till had run dry and we weren't worth their time. You can browse my reviews - rarely do I write something so negative, but this is an unacceptable business practice that needs to be called out. Do better. ***Update to respond to the Andrew*** If any of the below is true (calling the owners scammers), then why were we still patients of the practice as of last month and up until we asked for a prescription for PetMeds? Your veiled attempts to discredit those who call your business methods into question are laughable and, frankly, insulting to your audience. I also find it frightening how quickly supposedly confidential - albeit, inaccurate - information has been shared in a public domain in an effort to do so... There are numerous reviews accusing you of putting profits over patients and it doesn't take a genius to recognize the trend. Again, do better.

The best around. Everyone that I have met with or spoken to has always been kind, extremely understanding and respectful. I moved further away but still choose to come here because of how absolutely outstanding the staff and vets are. I’ve only ever had one hiccup with some prescription food they stopped carrying but it was my fault to wait and they still made it right which was a huge relief. I always appreciate their genuine care for not only my dog, but for me as well.

This place is amazing! I came here for a second opinion and I'm sticking to this vet for the future. Yes, you do need to do an online form but it's very easy to do. When I checked in the staff was quick to help us immediately weighing my puppy and leading us into the room. The assistant asked us how my puppy is doing and what our concerns were. She has a cyst on one paw. I wish I remembered her name but she is awesome and caring. My puppy is very anxious and vocal and the assistant was very kind and reassuring my puppy. After she left the room the vet was quick to come in. The staff is quite amazing! Again my puppy is barking at the vet and he went went to my puppy's level and gave her attention so she'd calm down and it worked. The vet asked us about the previous vet and their treatment. He then told me what he would like to do. He explained all the steps and what type of medication they would be using and what each medication purpose was. He took his time and explained everything thoroughly. One of our options was to have the cyst removed and to my surprise they were able to do it the same day. The staff here are amazing, kind, thorough, knowledgeable and care about their patients.

everyone was super nice. the doctor came in and was kind and treated my dog well, but was like hold on i need to get the forms and never came back it was super odd. then they tried to add a whole bunch of extra costs that ended up being $400+ and i was like nah nevermind.

I appreciate the entire staff at HB Pet Hospital. Everyone is so kind and polite and really do their best to handle my dog Bentley. I am certain the pandemic has been challenging, but the staff has created a process to keep all of us safe and I appreciate it. Thank you for all you do!

As a first time puppy owner, I needed to find a knowledgeable and trustworthy vet. Huntington Beach Pet Hospital is just that and more! After purchasing their puppy package for vaccinations and deworming, it has made these first few months a lot less stressful. They are wonderful at answering any and all questions I have and being able to text the office makes things a lot easier. They truly do care about my Maui and I couldn’t be more grateful.Also a shoutout to Dr. Nichols, she’s amazing!
