Worst customer service, wasted my time taking Uber to this location about a service that I needed, only to find out that they couldn’t help me without my car. Would have been nice to communicate that before I came. They just want your money and have no sympathy

I had a great experience with this dealer. Luis is the man! I let him know that I was buying cash and knew what the market price was for the vehicle. He was very upfront and I'm glad we made a deal. The paperwork process takes a while as well as the detailing they do on the spot but I got to talk to Luis a lot. I would legit call him a friend now because he took care of me so well. Like other reviewers mentioned, I got to drive the vehicle home same day and I got a Lyft ride the next day to pick up my other car. I live an hour away so that was way cool. Love the car and love the people I dealt with here.

One of the worst dealerships I've ever encountered. Bought my wife's lease there and had to argue with the salesman why we wanted the upgraded model. He kept trying to talk us down to the lower tier model but I insisted I wanted the features of the better model. He finally agrees. Fast forward to signing all the paperwork and walking out to the car I see it's the base model. I call him out and he claims "I thought you wanted the base model". Obviously he was lying considering the discussion we had.
Well, my wife says screw it it's just a lease so we go with it.
Now here I am in that car because my wife bought out the lease and I bring it here for servicing (routine oil change) because it's convenient. Oil change is $120 and they try to push a tire rotation and fuel additive for $80 more. Yes, a $6 bottle you pour into your tank and a tire rotation for $80. No thanks!
I'm hanging out nearby waiting for the car when I get a text with "urgently recommended services I need to approve". One is a full fuel injection system cleaning service for $280. The other is a wheel alignment for like $170. This is a plug-in hybrid that has 20k miles on it most of which are electric miles considering my wife refuels once every two months. I ask them why this isn't on the service schedule and they said "because it's based on time and miles"... Uhhh so are oil changes yet they're on the service schedule. I call Tustin Hyundai and ask when should someone expect to get a "fuel injection system cleaning service" and he said "probably 70k miles" I tell him it's an plugin hybrid and he said "oh then probably more like 100-120k miles. Really it's about how the car is feeling at idle and acceleration and start up etc".
Huntington Beach Hyundai isn't just inept, they're deceptive. They are a terrible business that is trying to nickel and dime its customers who don't know any better and trust their dealership to do what's right for them. If my wife brought the car in she probably would have paid them to do this service because of how they made it seem so urgent.
Do yourself a favor. Don't buy a car here don't get your car serviced here. They will do what's best for them and not for you, the customer. Go to Tustin Hyundai or go to Pro Tire and Auto on Beach Blvd and the 405 where you'll pay 1/4 the price and get top tier service.

Agree with previous reviews; DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER. I drove from Escondido to purchase a Certified 2023 Santa Fe Limited as advertised on the Internet at $37,600.
Mo Abdul the who identified himself as the Internet Sales Rep. called me twice on my drive up to make sure I was coming and told me he was waiting for me. On arrival he turned me over to another sales person. That salesperson informed me that they would need go add additional cost to the vehicle for covering paint, GPS activation, headlight cleaning, tire Nitrogen, and other items to supplement the Manufacturer's Warranty. The addition of these items added roughly $3,000 to the vehicle price. When I declined these items Mo Abdul came over numerous times trying to convince me that I needed these items and indicating they were losing money at the advertised price without adding these items. MULTIPLE times I declined anything except the advertised price. After 4 hours of let me see what I can do back and forth with Mo, I got to signing the sales documents which were only presented to me on the Finance man's upside down tabletop screen. I asked to see paper copies of what I was signing and was told that was not available that the only copy I could get was on a stick for me to take home.
After getting home I did print out copies of the paperwork and find that the extra costs they added to the final deal were. $995 for ELO GPS and $900 for Exterior Paint, Interior. They had added $1,895 to the price.
Note that this vehicle was a Dealer Rental and Loaner which was sold as a Certified and these items were already on the vehicle. I have already bought this vehicle and am sharing this to warn future buyers not to buy from a dealer (This One) that insists on adding to a posted sales price.
To protect yourself when the sales person starts in remind that California State Law # SB478
says a dealer cannot insist on a sale price higher than advertised. Further added items cannot be included unless presented and approved to the buyer on paper be processing the sale. (Note I never saw a paper before or after the sale!)
BUYER BEWARE HUNTINGTON BEACH HYUNDAI!!!

Please don’t buy a vehicle here, you will be a statistic. They don’t care about your questions after the sale.

I recently purchased a used Tesla Model 3 from this location, and it was a terrible experience. Despite paying for the car in full, the contract incorrectly shows that I financed the vehicle, which is simply not true. I’ve called the store three times over the past two weeks to address this issue. Each time, I explained my concern and asked to speak with my salesperson or someone in the financial department, but they were always too busy or in a meeting. They promised that someone would call me back, but no one ever did.
On my third call, I expressed my frustration, and the person on the phone said they would get someone to answer my question. They put me on hold, and five seconds later, the call was disconnected. When I tried calling back, they simply stopped answering.
During the purchase process, they also added unexpected fees when I arrived at the store—fees that were never mentioned during our phone discussions. Over the phone, they assured me that all accessories and additional fees were optional, but when I was ready to make the purchase in person, these fees suddenly became mandatory. To make matters worse, after driving the car for a short time, I discovered that the battery only has 80% capacity—despite the fact that the Tesla has only been driven for two years. This significant issue was never disclosed to me before the sale.
They will say anything to get you into the store, and once the sale is done, no one will try to solve any question or problem you have. This was, without a doubt, the worst service I have ever experienced. I strongly recommend going somewhere else to make your purchase.

Leased a new Ioniq5, but the digital rear view mirror was broken on delivery.
Dealership wont reply to my messages, and the part is on backorder from Hyundai corporate with "no potential ETA"
Very nice.

Service Department is horrible. Engine was replaced took them 2 o barely any update and when I received my vehicle back no clamps were put on the hoses so when I returned home hoses came off and coolant was all over engine and was pouring out. All they said was bring it back so we can fix what we didnt do in the beginning but the vehicle was out of coolant. I had another Hyundai dealership fix it because I couldn't afford to pay twice and the service advisor Peter never called me back after I had spoken to him and it's been 5 wks.

Terrible service! They promised to complete my cars service for 2,5 hours but they did it much more and they didn’t answer my calls… they offer much higher prices then other services by 3 or 4 times.

Avoid Huntington Beach Hyundai at all costs! I went in for a car listed in the high 20s, but the final cost sheet totaled a ridiculous $42k. They hid unrecognizable costs and tried to trick me. The management was terrible, refused to take down the price or remove the add-ons. Complete waste of time with terrible customer service.

This is probably the worst car dealership I have ever worked with. I purchased a car about 9 months ago. I got 10 yr warranty. Which I was told comes with getting the car serviced for free. Like oil changes and in case any lights turn on, like check engine for example. I made an appointment for a specific time to get an oil change. I make it to my appointment early and not only am I told it will be about 3 to 4 hours for my oil change, I'm also told its not covered under my warranty. What is the point of setting up a service appointment if they don't honor that time!? That makes no sense! I'm very put off with every experience I've had here and plan to trade in my car elsewhere.

I went there for a used car advertised on their site at 29.7K (just a little lower than the fair price on KBB). Then on the spot the price jumped to 37K (7K above KBB price) since they decided to add all sort of unnecessary items (protection, nitrogen etc.). I found this practice deceptive and, while it is common for dealers to try to add a few things here and there, the extent and the way they did it made it pretty bad. My take: don't waste your time to check a car that this dealer advertises at a good price; just call and ask what is the real price they will ask!

I called to check on the status of my vehicle in service today because I had not received a phone call, as promised by my service advisor Richard. While I was on hold I was driving through the neighborhood so I figured I'd just stop by.
I continually left my phone on hold. When I arrived, the service advisors were sitting alone in their office and none of them were on the phone.
It's disheartening to know that they were just letting a customer sit on hold without any care at all. One of those reps, Christian, told me there's no service advisor and there's no technician available for the vehicle. This could have been solved by simply picking up the phone and providing the information. It just seems like they don't value their customers at all.

I really have a very good experience with this dealership, I got very good price,Cristian was very helpful, respectful, very knowledgable, honest, and polite. He was really the best person I met in my searching tours for a car. We actually recommend Huntington Beach Hyundai for others.
