I took my dog because he had a lot of pain in his ear. The vet explained everything to me thoroughly and was very gentle with my dog. All the prices that they told me before hand on the phone were also accurate. I was very pleased with the experience. Thanks Dr Nguyen.

Whoever the guy is that calls patients to confirm appointments should not be dealing with people. He is extremely rude and simply put, not the brightest crayon in the box.

Took my dog in to get her annual shots as a first time new client and was delighted that the first time visit would be free and the rabies vaccine would be free also. Awesome! Not so much. Want some reasons? Here's 3-
1- The rabies vaccine was free but the other plethora of shots that the front office staff recommended (not from the doctor's recommendation, just the front office staff PRIOR to even getting into the exam room) cost me about 100 bucks. Cost really isn't the main problem that I have with this...when it comes to my dog, she's family, I'll pay whatever I need to in order to keep her healthy and on the right track. But when I went for a second opinion to another vet after this appointment they were disgusted that this office would even administer these vaccines to my 9 year old dog. Excessive and unnecessary medications...great start. Except that wasn't even the start...the actual shots weren't even discussed with Dr. Tran in the room and didn't even happen until about 3 hours later. Yep 3 hours...
2- The appointment took almost 3 hours including Dr. Tran walking out of the room in the middle of talking to me while saying "be back in a minute. you can wait a little longer, right?" and then leaving without hearing me respond. Now, for an office to try to attract new clients with "free first visit" or the numerous mail ads that I'm sure you've seen...WHY WOULD THEY MAKE A FIRST TIME CLIENT WAIT ~3 HOURS FOR THE APPOINTMENT? Talk about making a terrible first impression. Again, this isn't only about my discomfort or disappointment but how much does your dog like going to the vet? Let alone sitting in the exam room for almost 3 hours...All the while there's a computer screen mounted on the wall that plays a video talking about periodontal disease and a whole slew of other issues that will ultimately kill your pet if left untreated.
3- Dr. Tran finally comes into the room and starts off by drawing a bell curve on the back of my dog's chart and explains that this is the way a dog's life progresses. He then asks me how old my dog is and draws a line on the downhill curve towards the end and says that my dog is basically going to die soon so let's start there (didn't bother asking any health history or if there's any concerns or even the breed!). Now I'm here as a first time client just trying to get my dog's annual exam and the doctor starts off by essentially telling me my healthy dog is going to die soon. Awesome. I can't even comment on professionalism because there was none displayed by Dr. Tran. As I mentioned above, he left in the middle of the exam, but also didn't even know his vet tech's name who came in to help him. He berated her for not holding my dog securely (didn't offer to show her, just condescendingly snapped at her) when he grabbed at my dog's mouth before his tech was even close enough to hold the dog... At this point I shouldn't have been surprised to hear his recommendations for a new finding that he discovered in my dog. Instead of trying to describe it to me (maybe there's a communication or language barrier?) he decided to google images on the mounted computer screen and then leave the room again to not return at all. Finally a different staff member came in with an estimate of surgical procedures the doctor recommends and briefly went through it.
Needless to say, I sought a second opinion at another office. Surprisingly the other office had a first time visit free also and the experience was like night and day...
I'm hoping my experience was a fluke at FAH but I couldn't in good faith NOT write this review in case this is the norm for their office....
excessive medications, extreme wait times, terrible bedside manner, no questions answered...just overall really disappointing and frustrating.
09/25/2024- UPDATE- my dog is 17 years old and still alive.

I adopted two kittens a month ago. Unfortunately they came with fleas which I didn't catch for a few days. I quickly researched about 10 vets in the area. Choose Friendly to be their vet, made appointment, paid $300 hundred for first shots, deworming and flea medication. Got home a didn't see the flea medication on them. One just had a fluffed neck, like it was rubbed in hair and the other had it running down the side of its right front leg licking it. Anyone that has dealt with pet fleas knows the medication has to contact the pets skin to work. I took pics but they didn't come out well and contacted them back immediately. They disregarded what I said, assured me it was done, properly and said it could take 30-60 days to start working..., WHAT!! That's crazy! I disagreed. We debated back and forth because you can't reapply treatment for 30 days. I took there word for it. Needless to say, it was a mistake. it's been 3weeks now. I've never vacuumed, laundered, sprayed, powered carpet and flea combed more in my entire life!! My house still got infested, I have pest control coming to correct the problem tomorrow and my babies still aren't protected I have one more week to go before I can apply the medication myself, safely. So because they couldn't consider that their new employee made a mistake that I noticed immediately and could've easily been fixed. My life has been a nightmare these last serval weeks and the forest fire of fleas that I'm dealing with are all because my babies are (confined the last 10 days), walking host to these insects. Friendly just blew me off telling me to basically find another vet if I don't like their services. I went to them bc I have two babies and they were the cheapest. Well it's cost me a lot more in collateral damage. I've never felt so hopeless, defeated and stuck. I would NOT recommend this place just bc they have one of the cheapest visit fees. They racket up real quick once you're there. . Best of luck to everyone.

I'm trying to get my cat fixed, and they don't care about the pets. They said they would send an email for medicine buy they lie. Can't trust people like rachel.

Took my dog here to visit Dr. Nguyen after he came highly recommended. He was so kind, gentle, and thorough with his exam on my pup. Unlike at big brand name pet hospitals that treat you like a number and constantly upsell products/services, Dr Nguyen took his time to explain all the different possibilities and options. We will be coming here again for his care.

my son brought our small dog shivering, they told him theyre gonna give medications and needs to stay for observation. after staying from 1100 am to 400 pm, they called and said he can go home. THEY CHARGE US FEE FOR BOARDING AND ENDED UP PAYING MORE THAN A THOSAND DOLLARS FOR ANBIOTICS AND BOARDING!!! Dont go to this dog clinic, unless you want to waste your money. they will steal your money, their no good at all!!!!! I WOULD GIVE THEM NEGATIVE STAR IF THERE IS A CHOICE FOR NEGATIVE STARS!!!!!

They listed their spays as $200, however, after examination, they added a ton of additional charges, totaling over $500 (the same price as any other Vet that charges a lot)
Eg: $20 for a plastic cone (which is crazy), blood work, an additional $200 since my cat gave birth 6 weeks prior, etc
So it seems like this vet lists themselves as a low cost neuter vet to attract more people to come here, which is shady. I would not recommend this place.

I took my dog to get his ears cleaned 3 days ago. When I picked him up one ear seemed very itchy. The next day I saw that one of his ears was irritated and bleeding. When I looked closer I saw that they cut my dogs ear on the inside. I called to see if they could see him and maybe get some kind of medication. They said they couldn’t see him until the following week. The front desk was not helpful at all and said that It wasn’t their fault and there was nothing they can do. The people that I talked to didn’t care at all. Please do not take furry babies here because they clearly only care about the money and not about our pets.

Friendly and affordable, $375 for a teeth cleaning for a 60 lb German shepherd. Dr Tran was very nice. He came in and showed us what the procedure would entail. Clear After Care instructions were provided.

I took my dog here for a dental cleaning with an included regular exam as advertised. I told the vet my dog had an eye infection since she was sprayed by a skunk and the vet told me to wait it out and it will resolve itself. I called by slightly over 30 days and they told me they will charge me in full for another exam since I waited over 30 days. I requested the receptionist if he could ask the vet for an exception since I only waited because the vet told me to and he kept repeating the same thing without going to ask. He then sent me to wait without warning, so I waited and he never came back. I thought the call disconnected so I called back and the call was sent to wait again and then voicemail. This is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered.

I've been to many bad animal hospitals, but this is by far the worst coordinated vet clinic I have ever been to. I needed an international health certificate for my dog to travel. I called in advance to confirm that their USDA accredited vet can help with submitting the health certificate electronically. The first time I went there, they said no problems, and the vet could do that, so we got started with a general health exam and the required vaccinations. Then, I scheduled another appointment to discuss the details of the certificate. The second time I arrived, they wanted to examine my dog one more time, but I was okay with. Later, they told me that the vet was not able to submit it for me. I was already very close in to my departure date, and I was deeply disappointed that the clinic didn't notify me earlier about their inability to submit it. They are irresponsible for notifying their clients ahead of time and caused lots of inconvenience for me. I absolutely do not recommend this place.

Vet Long Tran is very unprofessional. All they do is try to sell you ear cleaning solutions. Apparently everyone that walks through the door has an ear infection. They would have even used it on my owners too if it meant they got more money. The heavier set Asian tech was very mean to me too. I’m now scared of going to vets thanks to these people. Thank you to my parents for advocating for me or else I might be gone by now. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
