Just about everyone in my life has heard some version of the following review, because I honestly can't say enough good things about this company. For context, my partner and I put over 40 hours of research and visiting mattress stores into this mattress decision. There were initially a lot of contenders. And in the end, there was only one we felt confident about - Custom Comfort Mattress. My family and I have been customers of theirs for over 20 years and I was delighted to learn just how good they are in their industry. Throughout the process, we wandered into 3 Custom Comfort stores and the customer service in each was outstanding so they're all getting this shout-out. We never felt like they were trying to make the sale - there wasn't pressure to make a decision - they just gave us the facts with pride and the mattresses sold themselves. Rod sat with us on a rainy afternoon at the Huntington Beach store and answered our long-list of minutiae questions - it gave us confidence that everyone in the company knows their product and wants the best for their customers. In the world of mattresses, Custom Comfort is producing a far superior product. I've owned mattresses in the past from their Select Collection (entry-level) and for this purchase, we jumped up to their Reserve Collection (premier level). We wanted a bed that was all natural materials with no memory foam, which we learned limits the lifespan of your mattress. We also wanted to avoid potentially toxic materials used to meet U.S. flammability requirements (Custom Comfort achieves this with wool). Bonus is that all of their mattresses are double-sided (flippable) which most on the market are not these days. The mattress we purchased should last us 20-30 years if we care for it well. This is the type of company that earns your trust. Not that we needed reassurance, but we asked if we could visit their factory in Orange to see how their mattresses are made. I felt like an elementary school kid on a field trip - I absolutely loved it. The warehouse manager Chewy personally guided us through all the stages of the mattress build and shared that most employees have been on the job for 10-30 years. They clearly take pride in their work and the brand. From the time we made the purchase to the time it was set up in our bedroom was 5 days. Great customer service to the end - Oscar and Omar were our courteous and on-time delivery crew and they made several adjustments to the bed height and position in the room to make sure I was completely satisfied. We've been sleeping on our new mattress for a week and we're finding our aches and pains greatly reduced. Check this company out - they're the real deal!

Buyer Beware.... Brought a mattress and a topper (over $4000) here about 4 years ago based on recommendation from the sale associate. Slept ok for about three years, then I started to expire pressure point and lower back pain. Figured the memory foam topper had lost the ability to provide the necessary cushion so I purchased another topper from Macy's. The new topper helped to relieve the pressure point pain but didn't help with the lower back pain. I then noticed that the mattress seems to have sunk towards the middle and was also sagging in the area where my hips touch. Reached out to Custom Comfort and they sent two delivery guys to inspect my mattress. They basically did a visual inspection and said everything looked good. Basically Custom Comfort does not honor their so called guarantee. They want to sell me another overpriced mattress (over $3000), which I declined and instead brought a much lower price mattress (less than $1000) from Costco and have been very pleased with how well it sleeps after having it for a little over 1 year.

Over the years I've purchased multiple mattresses from Custom Comfort, I've recommended them to my clients, my friends, and my family. In total I've owned roughly 4-5 mattresses and have had affiliated family, friends and clients purchase around 3-4 each themselves. I keep coming back for the quality, the customer service, and the fact that they are locally made with high quality materials.The sales experience is truly unique in the mattress world, none of that deceptive marketing or ambiguous pricing models-the prices are listed just as they are, no haggling necessary and for the quality--extremely reasonable. The prices are transparent and readily found, no hidden charges....just like how every other product on the market is...albeit used cars and other mattress stores. That is a strong demonstration of integrity with relationship to their customer, I appreciate that. Good luck getting that at any of the other mattress stores...which just happen to be middle men distributors with unscrupulous sales tactics.On customer service- I bought a mattress protector from them, this protector is a very high quality organic cotton piece, but upon trying it on the bed I wasn't particularly fond of the feel-nothing is wrong with it and its extremely high quality (like everything else they sell)..upon letting them know I wasn't happy with the feel, John from their central location reached out personally, followed up multiple times, and ultimately made things right with an amenable solution. This company and particular individual demonstrate a level of customer satisfaction that is rare these days, high end products with high end customer service.Every guest who has stayed in my guest bedroom with their mattress has said they slept like a king and loved the mattress.Their attention to detail on using high end materials that are safe, their warranty and care that you're happy with their product, their personal touch with customer service, and the fact that they are locally made will keep me coming back for years to come. I'll continue to recommend them for years to come, I'm happy companies like this still exist.

My wife has had back pain for months. After our first night in our new bed she had a very restful, pain free sleep. Our salesman, Kirk Strecker, was professional, knowledgable, and polite. He was very helpful in our selecting what we need. He explained each feature of mattresses from the high-end to the low-end. The installers were also professional, knowledgable, and polite. They clearly knew the product, and explained all the operation to me. They worked well as a team and removed all of the debris when they finished. I give them a 5+ rating! In terms of value; the cost was much more than we expected but if it preforms to our needs, then it will be worth what we paid.

Custom Comfort is the best, not just in their mattresses and toppers, which are THE BEST, but in their customer service, too. Josh at Brea/Mission Viejo store is the best, needed a quick topper for family coming for Thanksgiving, he GOT IT DONE, and is personally delivering it so we get it in time! Amazing! Thank you! ?

Amazing experience! Rodney at Bella Terra was super attentive and fun to work with! He really wanted us to get exactly what we wanted, so he was super patient and thorough with us. This is our 2nd bed with Custom Comfort - our other one lasted 15+ years!

Went into custom comfort in Bella Terra and was greeted by Rod who helped me with picking out a new mattress. The whole process was nice and streamlined, he asked what my budget was, how I sleep, what I currently sleep on and was able to show me a few different models. I ended up going with the Shasta and a topper, this combo fit perfectly in the budget. The foundation of the bed ended up being a little too tall (I didn't know how high the frame was as I had not put it together yet) but that was an easy swap. Went back and picked up two pillows that have also been great, overall my sleep has been night and day, I have been waking up with no back pain which is something I couldn't say previously. My brother ended up getting the same mattress after checking out mine. I would definitely recommend checking out custom comfort before ordering a bed in a box.
