I would highly recommend this shop for your Huntington Beach memorabilia or clothing needs! I had a great experience here, namely with my interaction with De Ellie(not sure if I caught her name right). Amazing customer service and so helpful!! Also, the sweater I bought was unique to the ones at other shops and so incredibly comfy. Great quality for a decent price!

Pretty expansive selection of clothing and knick-knacks.
Prices were fair for the HB area…not cheap, but a little better than average.

The lady was the rudest person I’ve ever seen calling me too fat to try on their shirts. They don’t even have anything cute so idk what they are worried about being stretched out??

I like going into this store when I go to Huntington Beach Pier. They have fun stuff but it is a bit pricey. I made my first purchase a really nice CALIFORNIA Sunset tote bag a little while back and got compliments so I bought my second tote bad with palm trees. I like the print but the straps are so rough on in the inside it scratches my arm. Wished I never brought it!! The male owner didn't give me a receipt and needs to lighten up a bit. Not very friendly at all.The woman owner is always so sweet. Always so nice and friendly.

Had items not priced properly and would not honor the price marked, which was a $10 difference. Found the same items they sell cheaper elsewhere.

They have really unique HB/California souvenirs, clothes, jewelry, home goods, etc that we didn't find anywhere else. Customer service can be hit or miss but the prices are really fair. We always stop here when we're in the area and enjoy shopping! Thanks!

A Blight on Downtown HB. Huntington Beach is a tourist destination, so of course we need souvenir shops. Beach Island could be a decent one: it has a typical assortment of trinkets and t-shirts, but what makes it truly terrible is the staff. From the moment you walk in, you will get the unshakable feeling that you are being watched, and that's because you are. Every step you take, the workers are almost always on your heels, following you through the store, making sure you're not stealing their overpriced junk. Beach Island is the punchline of many local jokes, as nearly anyone who has stepped inside the store has been a target of the staff's hostile suspicion. Some would say they're looking out for their shop, and of course that's true. I don't know, maybe they've been at it too long and they regard every single person who walks through the door as an arch-criminal, and it's really a bit much. To aggressively stalk customers through the store with open suspicion...it's disturbing, it's unnecessary, and it's profoundly off-putting. Maybe it's time to just sell the store and retire. Let someone who doesn't hate the public have a chance to make it a part of the community, instead of a pariah.

I visited this store on vacation and purchased two clothing items that I absolutely loved! A week after my return, my car was broken into where I had my suitcase with my new items. I called the store and asked if they kept track of receipts so I could order the two items that were stolen. I happen to get the owner and she new exactly what I had bought from my description and offered to mail them to me, which they normally don't do. I appreciate her so much! I would definitely shop from this store again. It's nice to know there are still business owners out there that are kind and willing to go the extra mile. Thank you, thank you!

Very rude people that run the shop. They keep following us through the store even though we are just shopping for sweaters. Then we come in again since we liked the jackets and now 20 min before they close, the lady comes up to us and says "no more opening the jackets". We weren't even making a mess or anything. Rude.
