I am so thankful that I was referred to Balm of Gilead Counseling Ministry. This was a perfect fit for me, completely align with my beliefs. I cannot say enough how much this ministry had helped me. Cecilia was such a blessing for me as she walked me through my healing process. Highly recommended!

Cecilia Trent is an absolute blessing! She has helped me immensely on my healing journey by pointing me to Biblical truth and showing me how to apply God’s word to my life in a real way which has been transformational. There are many counselors/therapists out there but it’s rare to find one that actually incorporates solid Biblical counsel and the Gospel without mixing in worldly psychology or new age thinking. She acknowledges the Holy Spirit as the True Counselor and references scripture often in our sessions. Her approach is tender and gentle and she truly embodies what it means to speak the truth in love. Her book Hurting Hearts Restored is beautifully written and a wealth of encouragement that everyone should read. I’ve also benefitted greatly from the other reading material she has recommended. The homework assignments she’s given me have been challenging at times but they have really strengthened and grown me. I have friends who have worked with other counselors at the Balm of Gilead and they have nothing but great things to say. I highly recommend this ministry, it’s a gem in this day and age!

I went through counseling at Balm of Gilead and it was the BEST investment I made for me. I had gone to other counseling centers before and this was the first time through counseling that someone worked with me on getting to "the root" of my pain, validated how I was feeling, helped me process all that had happened and pointed me to Jesus each time .
