I sold a diamond through these guys, and I was happy with the experience.It's a quirky shop of duck-print wallpaper and 1980s carpet in a strip shopping center, but with a friendly, if unhurried, owner. You have to call ahead and make an appointment (and prepare to wait for other people ahead of you once you arrive anyway).I stopped in and didn't expect much. But the owner mentioned he has relationships with local jewelers and other diamond buyers. He took a quick look at my diamond ring and told me he'd let me know if he found anyone interested.Sure enough, several days later he called me, accurately "guessed" the [low end of the] range I was being offered from other reputable places, and mentioned he thought he could beat it.A few days after that, he had found a potential buyer. He arranged for the buyer and me to both come in an hour later, and asked me to bring in the diamond's certificate and the independent insurance appraisal doc I had from years before.I dropped off the ring and left for a bit while he negotiated with the buyer (a "friend" of few words who came with a loupe and jeweler tools). When I returned, the owner offered me a price that was a bit higher than the highest I'd received at various diamond exchange/buyer storefronts, and we did the transaction in cash. I don't know what kind of commission/fee/upcharge he took from the buyer (the owner wouldn't tell me when I asked), but given my other offers, I was content with it and accepted the offer without negotiating (I'm not sure what would've happened if I did, but I didn't have much leverage to push for more).Recommendation: always get multiple offers from traditional places, but put Jon from ACE on the list to see if he can do better with a third party.

Well here I am it states that it is to be open on the website however I drive about 8 Miles just to find out with a closed sign on the door man they need to update their websites, also the phone number on the door is not a working number so what type of business is this really

Great experience! I came in with all my gold scraps and jewelry that I no longer wanted. John was very helpful and gave me the best rates in town. Was considering sending in my gold to an online buyer seeings as they usually have the best gold buying rates but American Coin Exchange beat everyone's prices. I will definitely be coming back!

I had come across this coin shop trying to sell broken gold jewelry and John was super helpful and gave an awesome fair price! I highly recommend this place of business for not only coins, but jewelry as well. Definitely will be a returning customer.

just called to get some information on coins I have and was interested in maybe selling. The guy on the phone was so nice and helpful and me not being able to tell him exactly what I have was hard on him to help me even more. I just wish he would have said "Just bring in your collection , we can see if we would be interested in anything you have"

Brought some gold and silver in and John gave me the BEST prices in town. Was very happy I came in. I didn't feel rushed and he spent a lot of time with me evaluating what I brought in. I would definitely recommend stopping in.

This place is a mess. There are valuable and rare coins laying all over the store. The place looks like the owner is a hoarder. The coins he has in the display case are only worth their weight in silver, nothing else. I brought him some items to look at and he told me that everything I had was fake, but I went to Liberty Coin and they bought almost all of what I had. This place is an absolute joke. I cannot believe this guy has been in business for 30 years. Don't even waste your time.

John was great !! Answered all my questions and has the best prices in town for both gold and silver. Come for the coins for the kids cards at Christmas. Way better than just a boring old card for the kids to open !!
