You will not regret using ACME... they were recommended on NextDoor by several people. Doug came out, gave us an estimate and it was pretty much what i expected. What i didn't know was the level of professionalism and care that they provide.2 packers showed up the day before move, spent much less time than i expected and got everything ready to go. I was 'around' but not really watching but they were fast and so careful.Day of the move, they showed up right on time with a HUGE truck, 3 guys and they were packed and gone by early afternoon.Delivery was smooth, they were very careful with everything IN the truck as well as in the new house. There wasn't a wall nicked or scratched. They covered the OFF WHITE carpet with blankets so there were no tire marks from dollies. SO careful and mindful.When i unpacked... there was ONE, small glass kitchen baking pan that was broken. That's ALL... out of the gazillion boxes of breakables... one, 4x4 glass pan. Even my delicate things that i meant to hand carry but forgot before they packed them, made it safe and sound. Not a picture glass, lamp or multiple large mirrors... not one thing was broken or scratched. AND, on top of that, the estimate was higher than the actual cost... name ONE mover that does that? And with gas at well over $6 a gallon.I can not say enough good about this company. Everyone from Doug on down the list was so friendly, and careful and efficient. They are GEMS and well trained professionals.Moving is stressful and when all you 'stuff' drives away in a big semi, you heart and mind are on edge until you see it again. ACME and their stellar employees made our move a positive experience.Thank you thank you thank you... from the bottom of our hearts! Gary and Jayne

Moved items from Palm Desert to LA. Out of the gate - great dealing with Quinn who was fun & personable & gave us a quote, assuring us that it could end up being under according to travel time. (IT WAS! Nice surprise.) All items arrived on truck superbly wrapped and protected. Tony & Philip were completely professional, friendly and patient with us. So nice and did such a great job. Great experience. Highly recommend.

Our delivery was a mess. We were supposed to receive the "white glove" treatment. Our move in house was completely cleaned prior to delivery. The crew laid down moving blankets and a stair runner. Turns out they were loaded with sand. When crew left the mess was terrible. The blankets the furniture was wrapped in was loaded with sand and got spread through the house. Furniture that was taken apart by the movers was left in pieces. The power cord for the recliner has never been found.

Fantastic Move! JJ, Jessie and Cesar were professional , skilled and friendly. The initial quote and response was great . The move ran smoothly , it went off without a hitch. I requested an extra drop off. Once the truck was loaded they followed me 2 miles and the drop off was easy. Then they departed for the final destination. I highly recommend this moving company.

It seems as though folks are quick to complain but slow to compliment -- thus I am writing to give a "GOLD STAR" to Acme Moving & Storage concerning our recent move. The first (very pleasant) surprise was a phone call response to my email inquiry -- on a SUNDAY evening, no less!!! WOW! Every step of the way it was a terrific experience. Doug (in the office) was great to work with. He was cordial and agreeable and was able to give us the exact moving date we needed as well as a little later start time (even though it was probably not as convenient for them). The estimate he gave me was within a few dollars of the actual bill based on the number of hours the men worked. No surprise "up-charges"!!!The actual moving crew was FABULOUS (and we are pretty darn fussy)! They were courteous and respectful, friendly, efficient and hard-working. This was not an easy move but we never heard a complaint or grumble the whole day.I have no qualms about highly recommending Acme Moving & Storage.

Easy move, great Service!! I called Acme Moving last minute (needed to rush move) and they were able to schedule my move for same day service. The movers were friendly and fast. I had a 10' x 10' storage unit (packed front front to back and all the way up to the top); movers unloaded the storage and unloaded to my house in just a few hours (this was a local move).The Customer Service was excellent, thanks Paul!! Great communication and follow-up. I would definitely recommend Acme Moving to anyone how needs this service and I'll definitely use them in the future.

The three guys showed up on time, did the move, had trouble on the delivering end with low ceilings and lots of turns, but carried three pieces up 7 flights of stairs and never complained. They were awesome. Would recommend them highly.

Acme was responsive, very competitive in pricing, and moved use as scheduled and arrived on time as promised. We had zero damage to our goods and zero damage caused to the house we sold and one we moved into by the moving crew. The three gentlemen who packed us and delivered our furniture were neat, friendly, and did everything we asked of them. I will recommend Acme to anyone moving from the Coachella Valley.

I hired Acme Movers to RE- organize my storage units. They charged me $750.00 and did not finish the job. They were rude and unorganized. I had to hire another mover to RE-do what they messed up at another cost of $800.00. Jorge the manager at Acme stated they were there, so terrible job or not they were there, so sorry. Hire at your own risk!!!

After 3 years of working with Acme I've decided to give them this well deserved 5 star review. Acme is by far the best Origin and Destination service provider in the Coachella valley. ACME's storage looks like a museum which is a hard to find in the moving & storage industry. ACME's Personnel is well trained and super responsive. Highly recommended

Response by GM Jorge is once again not truthful. I am a customer too and can post my own personal experience. Noy duplicate. I will save him the embarrassment of posting the emails that show we were booked and confirmed for our move. Clear sales tactic to site calculating error. Your math didn't justify. The other math that doesn't add up: 35 years in business and only 72 5 star reviews... yelp offers tips on responding to negative reviews take time to review. Original post: We're moving to SD from the valley and needed moving services. I remember meeting the ACME business owner in years past who seemed like an honest and nice man. I went on yelp to see if they were still in business and to get a quote. I read the owner message and was happy to see he states " competitive pricing and not to exceed pricing" My husband called and got a quote and again in their email quote it stated " not to exceed estimate". We got other quotes and we decided on ACME. Later we recieved an email stating that he was increasing the price by almost 1k because he made an error in his calculations. We referenced the email and his commitment not to "increase" the price and he made every excuse... when asked to speak to a supervisor, owner or someone other he refused. We will use another moving company that can honor their word and that we can fully trust.

Jorge your lack of ownership and defensive approach speaks for itself. You are losing $8500 deal over 800 mistake. It's a matter of principal. I have it in writing we were booked and confirmed and price was not to exceed quote. I am choosing to do business with an honest person and company and pay more simply not to deal with you. Honesty and trust is important in companies I hire. Just had the worst experience as the GM at the Palm Desert ACME location tried to do a bait and switch on me with a home moving quote. I received a pricing quote for the move in writing via email with a statement saying "guaranteed not exceed estimate". I got other quotes from other moving companies and decided to hire ACME and responded via email. I also proceeded to speak to the same person who gave me the quote to confirm the dates and we were all set to go on 4/22. He emailed me three days later (4/25) to let me know that he has to charge me more ($800) because he made an error with the estimate - unbelievable. I responded via email and spoke to him today (4/28) and told him that we had an agreement verbally and via email and that he should honor that price. He stated that because the dates of the move weren't 1 week or closer, he couldn't honor his estimate and would not be able to complete the job. In my opinion this is fraud and I believe he was biased with me because of my age and race. I refused to pay more and will take my $9k business to a honest company.
