Brian has been taking care of my cars for years. First my Honda Pilot, then my VW Tiguan, and now my Chevy Colorado. He can fix just about any type of vehicle. He's friendly, he will treat you with respect, and he is very reasonable with his pricing. I have always felt that he gives me top notch service and would fix my vehicle like I'm part of his family. Always to keep me safe and keep my truck in the best condition possible. As long as I live in So Cal, I'll never go anywhere else.

Brian is great!!!! He does the job he says he's going to do at a reasonable price and he is very honest. That is a valued quality. It doesn't surprise me one bit that he has five stars. Our whole family has been bringing cars to him for well over 15 years.

Disappointing Experience at Brian's New Location I write this review with a heavy heart, as Brian had been our family's trusted mechanic for over 7 years. However, ever since he moved to his new location, the quality of service has taken a nosedive. In the past, Brian was reliable and trustworthy, which is why I foolishly let my guard down during my recent visit. I assumed he would fix several issues with my car without any problems. Unfortunately, he failed to follow the standard practice of calling me to obtain preauthorization for repairs, as he had done in the past (and as required by law). Consequently, I was unpleasantly surprised by multiple unexpected repairs on the final bill, which ended up being three times the amount he had initially verbally quoted me. I should have been more diligent during my interaction with him, but I made the mistake of trusting him based on his previous work. To make matters worse, the original problem with my car remained unresolved. Instead, Brian made the wrong repair and, when asked about it in a follow up visit a week later, conveniently claimed that the part he had mistakenly fixed also required repair. This response seemed more like an excuse than an admission of fault. Moreover, his impatience and confrontational attitude when I asked questions only added to my disappointment. Despite promising to complete the repairs in a day, he ended up keeping my car for several days without a satisfactory explanation. Each time I called for a status update (approximately once a day), he grew agitated and had the audacity to actually say that my inquiries were causing the delays. It was a frustrating and bewildering experience. In conclusion, the combination of poor technical competence and abysmal customer service is the reason for this negative review. Brian, if you happen to read this, I apologize for the negative feedback, but I feel compelled to share this disappointing experience with others. I'm uncertain what has happened since your move to the new place, but I sincerely wish we could have the old Brian back, the one we knew and trusted.

Brian is not honest.......he's SUPER honest!!! Great mechanic and I don't say that about many mechanics.He's worked on 3 of my vehicles, including company trucks and I've recommended him to several friends.Highly recommend.

It's difficult to find an honest mechanic and one that knows what he's doing, like the owner Brian, of A & E Automotive. What a great mechanic. He's always swamped with work, and whenever I have just stopped by un-announced for whatever, he makes it a point to stop what he's doing to answer the dumb question I wanted to ask him. In other words he doesn't break under pressure and he's got to be under pressure 24/7 with people coming at him from all directions! I feel he deserves more than 5 stars for sure! I apologize that I am way over-due in leaving a (good) review! Sorry Brian! I hope this review makes up for the time lost since the last time you fixed my Astro Van, when I should have left a Yelp review at that time! You're the Best!
