Parking costs UDS 38.- per day, a bit expensive. The rooms are not cleaned every day. The restaurant located in the same building but managed independently is perfect for breakfast.”

6364 Yucca St, Hollywood“I was here for a week and price-wise it was a steal, considering all the other prices and even at worse locations. Hollywood boulevard isn't what it used to be anymore, but homeless people are there, in some side streets and whatnot. On Yucca street itself, there was none, so it was kinda safe. Metro stations are nearby and the hotel room had an AC, but didn't need to use it during my time - it's that weird time in LA again where it's chilly until mid-day, then hot af and then chilly again at evening.”
“For it's age it's wonderful! Just a plain, simple, old hotel, with great service and location! In a couple of minutes walking you are in Hollywood Boulevard!
Nearby activities: Hollywood is around the corner.
Walkability: Don't miss the excellent YUKA MARKET, a nice super market, in 2 min. walking distance, where you can find good stuff and you can get a 10% discount just showing your Trylon hotel key card of your room! Amazing store!”

“I see why most people give this hotel a 4 out of 5 stars. It is a beautiful hotel however the bed frame seriously need to be replaced. The slats for the bed frame are about 1 cm think and easily fall out of place, hence my first night sleeping there, the mattress suddenly collapsed into the floor. This ruined our first night and was very frustrating. The next day we were given another room that was actually smaller and not offered any other compensation. I complained to the front desk and asked for them to at least offer some food credit for our disturbed night. They offered a $60 credit for the food. I feel like I would have been satisfied if a free night was offered at any Hyatt of this price and class.
The rest of the experience was great, very awesome restaurant at the Highlight Room, the chef upon hearing I had food allergies, came right to our table to assure my food wouldn't have any contact with food I was allergic to - very good service. Their Classic Breakfast was amazing.
The gym facilities is incredible and overall the hotel boasts style and modern flair. The Rooftop pool had the best view and the hotel has robots that deliver your food - very cool. When we checked in we were offered glasses of champagne on the house - very welcoming. The check in process was so easy.
The only thing again is the bed frames, I talked to multiple guests who had the same issue, for a hotel of this class, this issue must be fixed.
Everything else is great!”

2018 Highland Ave, Hollywood“So convenient for Hollywood Bowl. Room was a little worn out, but the bathroom was nice. The review that said it is loud was right. You are right on the road, so I guess you gotta expect that. But so convenient it makes up for it. Clean. Bathroom was great.”
“I saw a lot of harsh reviews of this spot and stayed here anyways because of how close it was to the tourist part of Hollywood. It was really great for the price and gave me a lot of agency to walk in the area and save of Ubers.”
“We were only there one night, but the noise filtered through a lot, we were on one side of the back entrance and the whole night we could hear the entry and exit of people very loudly because the door clanked a lot as well as the constant passage of suitcases (like if there were no walls), there is not bad service but they are a little rough, I don't know how to explain it, they helped us a lot in explaining how to get to Universal since it is very close to the subway and a station. One night I think was fine, but my body couldn't have endured without sleep. As for cleaning, it is not bad as I see in other comments but the smell is not the best ?
Rooms: Good size and comfortable bed, I get hot water without a problem
Nearby activities: It is a Universal subway station and a parallel street from the Walk of Stars or Fame haha whatever you say.”
“After reading great reviews online, I recently decided to take a spontaneous trip to Palm Springs and opted to stay at The Dunes Hotel. While I initially considered the Hilton, I found myself deterred by comments about its outdated facilities, prompting me to explore other options. The Dunes stood out with its impressive ratings on Google and Yelp, so I gave it a shot.
When I called the hotel, I spoke with Eric at the front desk, who confirmed that all rooms are non-smoking—definitely a bonus for me. I ended up booking two nights through their website and appreciated the convenience of online check-in.
I drove from Santa Monica and arrived around 8 PM, thanks to traffic. Upon my arrival, Robert greeted me warmly, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. I had requested a room near the pool, and they graciously placed me in a lovely second-floor room right in front of the pool.
The room was just what I needed: clean, spacious enough for one (or even two), and pleasantly uncluttered. Perhaps because I visited on a weekday, the hotel was quite empty, which suited my desire for a peaceful retreat. I also had the pleasure of meeting Lindsay, who was friendly and welcoming during my stay.
The location of The Dunes Hotel is a traveler's dream, just a short drive from local coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. The affordable price of $107 a night made it an even more appealing choice compared to the Hilton.
Overall, my stay at The Dunes Hotel was thoroughly enjoyable. It’s an excellent option for solo female travelers! The hotel provided the relaxing atmosphere I was seeking, along with exceptional service and a convenient location. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Palm Springs!”
