Management: Don't SAY you'll do better. DO better. Main gym floor is usually dirty and the 4 cleaning stations regularly have no supplies. Vinyl coverings on equipment are ripped from wear. Overcrowded with rude members who leave weights scattered around the floor. More A/C needed. Turn off the loud, terrible music so people can listen to their own. Staff is indifferent. On the plus side: decent range of equipment and location nearby.

One of those places where the air never seems to work or is never strong enough, always feels swampy, I’ve never been cold there. It’s annoyed me to the point where I feel the strong need to leave this review. Tired of feeling so damn hot there before I start getting my workout in and then I don’t have a good workout because of that and that ruins my day. Thank goodness this is not my main gym but whenever I do go I end up leaving annoyed AF and done with the place.

Personally, I love this location. It’s updated, convenient, large variety of new machines, a lot of squat racks, clean. Staff always friendly, helpful and professional. Anytime the paper towels are out the managers make sure it’s replenished.
Ever since this location has been updated the managers have done a great job of upkeeping the overall cleanliness of the gym considering all the members that don’t clean up after themselves. Justin and Colin in particular are absolute superstars - helpful, friendly and professional. One thing is, they do charge for parking and I hope that changes in the future. Other than that, 5/5 experience all around.

Hollywood...I try to avoid it due to traffic. Unfortunately, my Sister in law could not take my Brother to his Dr Appt and my Brother was not allowed to drive himself; so I was more than happy to help my Brother out.
After dropping him off at Kaiser, had time to get a workout in. Off to 24 Hour Fitness Hollywood for the 1st time.
As I entered public parking structure, I figure 24 Hour would cover validation (will explain a little later). There are 6 levels of parking. With 24 Hour being on the 4th floor, that is the most convenient floor to park. I parked on the 2nd floor and took elevator up to 4th floor.
Entered the gym and since I wasn't familiar with the layout, spoke with one of the employees for 24 Hour.
Was informed that validation is $3.00 for 2 hours. You read that correctly; $3.00 for 2 hours. There are pay stations on all parking levels (6) with cash only pay station being on the 1st floor.
After hearing that news, my mood was a little sour. To pay $3.00 just to workout at 24 Hour Fitness Hollywood. Told myself to snap out of it and have positive attitude.
After Men's gym locker room, I was ready to workout.
Warm up area/cardio is on the 1st floor.
Free weights/machines are on the 2nd floor. There is an elevator for those who have physical limitations or just don't want to use the stairs.
Since today was Upper Body Strength Resistance Training, 2nd floor I went and I was disappointed. Free Weights were scattered throughout the gym which took additional time to workout. That is a combination of members not returning free weights after use and gym employees not periodically returning free weights to there proper place (No Gym Etiquette).
After 1 Hour, 40 Minutes (would of been done sooner) my workout was complete.
After leaving 24 Hour Fitness (Hollywood), I will not be returning unless absolutely necessary. I can't imagine regular gym members who go to this particular gym pay $3.00 to park every time He or She have to workout on top of paying their monthly membership fees.
That sucks and Gym Etiquette which is why 2 stars is given.
One thing that did stand out was one the employees (did not remember his name) who assisted me with getting familiar with gym layout.
Professional/Friendly.

This is the nastiest gym I’ve ever been to. The paper towels are never restocked, the trash beens are always overflowing, the place is never dusted and has dust in every single corner of the gym. The bathroom constantly has a foul odor and there is trash left all over the counters. I would never shower in this club. The staff is constantly saying they are understaffed and will change at their soonest availability. Today, I was here 3 hours and not once did ANY of the paper towel dispensers have a single sheet inside. The only good thing about this place is the size of the club, variety of machines, and proximity to my house. Otherwise, I constantly have to call the staff in the middle of my workouts to remind them on custodial necessity.

Close too early and not 24 hrs and place is never clean. At least close at 12am, not that hard to work over time.

My boyfriend recently obtained a gym membership at 24 Hour Fitness two weeks ago. Our initial visit to the Slauson location left much to be desired due to unsanitary conditions and unprofessional staff, particularly in the spa area. Consequently, we decided to give a different location a chance and visited the Hollywood branch. Unfortunately, our experience there was even more disappointing. The women's restroom was in a deplorable state, with feminine hygiene products and toilet paper scattered across the floor, indicating a lack of maintenance. Furthermore, there appeared to be a lack of staff present to address these concerns or ensure cleanliness of the equipment. The front desk staff also did not offer any assistance, as they were preoccupied with personal conversations rather than attending to customer needs. This experience was particularly disheartening, as I had expected a higher standard of excellence from a reputed fitness chain like 24 Hour Fitness. In comparison, even Planet Fitness seems to maintain higher cleanliness standards. I guess cleanliness and customer service is a lost art these days. We plan to cancel his membership.

Best gym! It has 2 levels of equipment available and a variety of classes. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Great gym and solid equipment! Would come back. I can see it could do with a clean but overall you are there to work hard not worry about the floor having some dirt on..

I'm surprised at how low the rating is for this location! The front desk guys are chill, the place is spacious, and plenty of equipment. I will say that I usually go outside of the busy times so when I say everything I want is usually available - take that lightly. Lots of natural lighting and comes with a view. It's also clean for the most part, other thing is that the changeroom/sauna walk setup thing is a little odd but that might just be me.
