I was initially hesitant to write this review, but I feel like it's kinder to be honest. I used to love coming here, and then once in the past year I went in and this employee came out of nowhere and asked me if I needed any help, to which I said, "No, I'm good" or something similar. Then this other customer, an older lady asked him a question and he just brushed her off. It seemed ageist. You shouldn't be giving preferential treatment to certain customers if you want to retain them. That's not good business. I feel like people here didn't understand customer service. Also, there was this Team Leader who had this haunted look to him -- he once helped pay for my stuff which was extremely generous of him, but then when I went to return a milk bottle (you can exchange it for cash/they recycle it for you), he rudely shoved the cash into my hands -- he was pretty pissed off about something, and the other staff person was really stressed out and said, "Is this what you want?!!" which is a sign of people-pleasing. I hope they're doing okay by now. But wow. That was some appallingly bad juju. I haven't gone back since. Maybe it's better by now. When I used to be a cashier clerk, I had never seen such behavior.

Nice, clean supermarket in Hollister. All the staff is nice, always ready with a little friendly chat at the checkout counter. The selection of stock for relatively high-end items is a little sparse but that is to be expected in a small town. The bakery produces some excellent loaves of artisan bread and the meat section always has some good cuts on hand.

I really enjoy shopping at Nob Hill for my own groceries as well as when I DoorDash. I know that everything is always going to be in stock and they have such a huge international food selection. They also cater to those with specific dietary requirements and have more than just a few options available. Their meat and produce is always 5 ⭐️. I’m never disappointed in the quality. Unfortunately, they are a bit pricer but you get what you pay for ? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The people that work here have lost touch with reality. Talk about being incompetent. The definition of stinking up the place. The managers are about as dual as a doorknob. A lot of clowns running the show. You may get 1 to honk there nose if you're good enough.

It's a great store and the people are really nice and it's usually stocked very well and very clean. I only complaint is the deli. The guys they have making the sandwiches are so so slow! They don't work with urgency and then they will stop and talk to people or the other people. There's usually four or five people in the deli and one person working the counter. So the same person who is doing the sandwiches is slicing the meat Then you have someone else working on the floor then someone else doing packaging one person doing sushi and then just one person doing the sandwiches and the slicing the meat usually maybe two if you're lucky. But whoever's in the back due in the packaging or the manager who's looking at her clipboard seems to always be talking to the sandwich maker and he's taking a long time to make a sandwich every time I'm in there and then you have to wait for that person to get done making a sandwich to get something on the other side with the meats and cheeses but then someone else comes up with a slip for a sandwich so they're just making sandwiches making sandwiches who's helping this guy in the deli case?! I think you should have whoever's there possibly put down what they're doing and try to help these people out. It's called teamwork.

Great place. My only complaint is I signed up for their rewards program and they didnt enter my info correctly and they refuse to fix it. I cant use the reward program as a result so I had to stop going here.

Nob Hill hollister is always clean with excellent produce, bakery, deli, and meat departments. Staff are always friendly and helpful. On the rare occasion, I have a complaint they quickly resolve it to my complete satisfaction.
