I have only had my account for 2 years. I have had to call them several times about fee's and a Target charge no one seems to know about. The final straw was when I deposited a settlement check, and now I see I was charged a fee for insufficant funds. Umm hello this was a settlement check. I have no control over what happens with the funds. I am not even going to waste my time getting the 13 dollars back, I am just pulling my money out of this bank ASAP. This bank is too small for my needs. I am out.

I been twice to this location and both times the costumer service has been extremely good, both girls the one at the front door greets every costumer who walks in and direct them, and the teller is also very nice and patience. Very professional staff.

Sylvia was the most amazing Teller I have ever had the experience of working with. I came in to start a new bank account and I cannot believe how quick and easy the process was. I even got $120 credit for doing electronic statements. It's been about 12 years since I opened a new account and remember it being much harder and taking longer. She was bright, happy, knowledgeable and I am so glad to begin banking with this company.

Liz was awesome to work with. She helped me get a car loan fast and with a great rate. Super easy to work with and their online banking is very convenient. Highly recommend anyone looking for an auto loan or free checking account with a local credit union in Hollister!

The people who work in the Hollister branch are nice. But, I have had multiple, repeated, problems accessing my money and my accounts since I opened them last year. These aren't just temporary problems that last an hour or two. They go on for days at a time and it has happened repeatedly. First, the ATM was down repeatedly, over time, for days at a time, so I couldn't make deposits, etc. There have also been repeated problems with their online banking being down, for multiple days at a time. Right now, I have been unable to login to their online banking for probably 4 days. This is all simply, and completely, unacceptable. I need to be able to access my accounts, and my money, so that I can do essential things, like pay my bills. There is just no acceptable excuse for the repeated, multiple days-long, episodes where I cannot access my accounts, as needed.

Customer service definitely needs some work. Does not respond to follow up emails and does not return calls. I should not have to call multiple times and follow up on an application when I'm told "sure we will get right back in touch with you". Went elsewhere.

A few months ago I purchased a used car at an auto dealership and ended up with a loan at a higher rate than I was comfortable with. I decided to try Monterey Credit Union and see if I could get a better deal. When I walked in I was immediately greeted with a smile by Brittany. She was able to answer my questions knowledgeably and professionally. As we worked through the process, she worked with her supervisor and was able to help me obtain a deal that gave me a better rate and lower term. Without going into details, I will say that I know they definitely "went to bat" for me. All in all, a pleasant transaction. I recommend Brittany to anyone looking to refi an auto loan.

I have had several issues with the corp office out of monterey. My card was hacked and they shut it down on a friday going into a holiday weekend. No calls of any kind...no way to get money? I called and asked why didn't you let me know? Well we let some know~~Really? My card got hacked again this last week and it was shut down. I have assorted auto payments that are paid out of this account. I was told YOUR AUTO PAYMENTS WILL NOT GO THRU. No specific types of auto payments were communicated. I looked at my account today and saw $199 worth of fees for lack of money in the account. I asked why and they told me there were two different accounts and mine were paid. I said nobody told me there were the different kinds. I asked that they reverse the $199 as i am a retired senior. They said they only can reverse $33. I said what? Not my error ...i will be closing this account and will also send the info to the main corp branch. I'm done

The people in the Hollister branch are wonderful, and I want to keep doing business with them. However, if you want a CREDIT UNION you MUST NOT open a new account, as the bank's management is moving forward to change to a commercial bank instead, and has the audacity to send out a flyer to all the members encouraging them to use their votes to give up their right to vote. They want their shareholders in control, not their members. I should have seen this coming long ago, and even though I love dealing with the people in the Hollister branch, I'll be taking my money elsewhere, which I'm sure is okay with them because I'm not a millionaire. I quote from the flyer they sent me: "In a commercial bank only shareholders have voting rights. Accordingly, members... would not have voting rights, except to the extent that they became shareholders of the commercial bank. So, we get yet another commercial bank to choose from, and one fewer credit union.
