After west, I went to Crocker middle school, Burlingame high school, and then UCLa (go bruins!)Now, I love to go to this park to play sports and sometimes late at night, get lit and decompress.I just played speedmitton here with my dad. I went a little easy on him because he hates it when I beat him by things by a lot and also we're sorta going through some family stuff night now. I'd rather not get into it.”

“We cannot recommend Fun With Mandarin highly enough. Our son has grown immensely in the two years he has spent at this wonderful school. Starting with absolutely no understanding of the language (we have no Chinese heritage in our family and do not speak it at home), our son recently tested as fluent in Mandarin by the SFUSD. And even more important than the language skills, we appreciate the thoughtful curriculum and loving environment provided by Binbin Laoshi, Teacher Ben, and the other great instructors. This school emphasizes positive social values such as being considerate of others, taking responsibility for yourself, celebrating diversity, and protecting the environment. And we have loved getting to know the other wonderful families who have also discovered this special place. Fun With Mandarin has been the perfect preschool for us, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for preschools in San Francisco.”

“Happy hearts has been the best child care I have found over multiple options I have tried. Even before joining, my wife and I were impressed with layout of the space, the cleanliness and organization. The staff are wonderful and speak Spanish, of which my son has picked up quite a few words and phrases. Being vegetarian, I felt that we would need to send food with our son, but happy hearts have been more than accommodative and I have never had to send a meal with my son. My son recently turned two and I'm quite thankful to the range of food he has gotten exposed to and enjoys, although he still likes to assert his preferences at home. In addition, we receive updates via photos and videos and I'm always impressed by the activities the kids are exposed to through the year and also the special activities around festivals and other meaningful days. They usually have a long wait-list, but if you do get a chance, we couldn't recommend happy hearts more”

“Our child loved his time in Building Kidz, he was running to his class once he got over the initial adjustment period.Ms. Komal the center director has always been responsive, clear and thorough. Our kid's teachers Ms. Selena, Ms. Britney, Ms. Deedee understood his needs very well and made the transition to first daycare smooth. And Ms Bharati and Ms. Stephanie kept him engaged and challenged as he grew.Unfortunately we have had to pull our kid out of daycare due to personal reasons. If you are looking for a fun, clean and engaging environment for kids, look no further.”

“All I have to say is WOW! This place is a true gem for children and parents! I had never been here before, but I was frantically searching for a venue for my daughters third birthday. I came across a little gym on Yelp which led me to their webpage. Their online birthday party information was clear, concise and straightforward, and I easily made my reservation. I was promptly contacted by the little gym via email with details about the event, and what to expect. The staff are truly something special! They went above and beyond to make sure my day went as smoothly as possible. They helped me prepare by allowing early drop off for my items, access to the party room refrigerator, unloading my car, setting up and cleaning up. All of the staff and instructors were incredibly sweet and patient! I feel like it's really hard to come across such a good customer service these days, so I was really just so impressed!There is a Mountain Mike's next door, which is super convenient for birthday party catering. The staff will help you prepare your food and cake as well as with serving. The play part of the birthday was so fun for both parents and children. There were two instructors that were leading the children with different activities and games. My kids had a blast and it was really just such a smooth, great time! I highly recommend this place, and again, I am so impressed by the quality of service provided by the staff.ps, the gym is incredibly clean!”

“Absolutely LOVE Open Gate! We have been attending since last school year and my son and I just love the time we spend here. We both have so many new friends and have truly created a community for ourselves. The Teachers are creative, kind and intentional with the way they are educating my son. “My daughter has spent 2 years at PCC preschool and I will certainly miss this hidden gem of a school! Not only is the campus beautiful, but it is overall an amazing place for little ones! It has been so great to see how much my daughter loves preschool and how much she has learned! “My child just graduated from Kinder Academy Montessori, and I couldn't be any happier with her progress. We only attended for one year, but in that year I've witnessed tremendous growth in her academically and socially. She is happy, confident, reading at a 1st grade level at the age of 5, and has lots of friends. I was especially impressed to see how KAM transitioned in new teachers. Two long-time teachers were retiring, and they brought in new teachers for 6 months prior to the veteran teachers retiring, so they could learn the school's rhythms and also the children had plenty of time to get used to the new teachers. Between my kids, this is the 4th preschool they've attended and KAM handled this transition the best I've ever seen. I recognize that a transition like this is very costly from a financial perspective but it is honestly the best and most healthy option for the students. I feel so grateful for a supportive, nurturing, and loving community that puts the students first. I give KAM my highest recommendation.”

“We joined Pacifica Co-Op Nursery School in January, 2021, and our son is thriving in their online virtual program. The teachers are amazing, very warm and nurturing. Their introduction to learning is very consistent and engaging. Our 4 year old can sit through an entire 45 min. class with real interest because the teachers have made the curriculum fun and interactive. What I find to be most interesting is how quickly my son has grown to care for the teachers and his classmates - online learning with the class is a weekly highlight. The schools parent community is amazing, kind, and fun. All parents have been very involved and welcoming. The schools playground is adorable and spacious. We look forward to the schools in-person reopening. ❤️??”

“Sea Breeze is an amazing preschool and it made a world of a difference for my son. I can see that everything at Sea Breeze is done with the best intentions and passion for the children, and we are so glad we are a part of the family!Thanks to Sea Breeze, my son learned so many new things, mastered board games (esp. dominoes and Mancala) which really helps with math skills, developed a lot of social skills, was introduced to several sports, which he is passionate about today. “This is our son's second year attending Odyssey Preschool. He started when he just turned two years old. We only speak Mandarin at home with our son, so initially we just wanted to find a bilingual school where teachers could speak Mandarin with our son to make him feel more comfortable and to ease him into preschool since he's never had any prior experience with any daycares or caregivers other than his parents. We were so lucky to have met Ms. Jing from Class 5. She was always caring and patient, and soon became our son's favorite teacher. Our boy came home singing new songs, telling us new things Ms. Jing has taught him. He's also brought home many creative crafts and artwork. He seemed to be having such a great time at school which is all that mattered. He also learned more discipline such as waiting his turn, sharing, and doing more things on his own. Even after my son has moved onto the next class, he's still excited to go back to Class 5 to visit Ms. Jing. Nothing makes me happier than seeing our boy having such a strong bond and trusting relationship with his teacher.”

“My daughter attended Foster City Preschool from February - August of 2022 until she was able to enroll in SMFCSD preschool. She LOVED it and learned so much! By the end of her time, she was able to write her name, perform with her class in front of an audience of parents and families, and was just overall confident and happy. She adored her teachers and did so many great art projects. It honestly made our transition to a new school harder, because she missed her old school so much.Additionally, I took great comfort in the steps they took to keep our kids safe when COVID was so uncertain and the restrictions were ever-changing. Plus, the catered lunch/snack each day and the extended hours were AMAZING for us as busy working parents.Full disclosure, this is an "old school" place which was an adjustment for us -- so many of my friends receive texts, photos, videos, and multiple updates throughout the day from their kids' care providers. At Foster City Preschool, they welcome phone calls from parents, but the only real updates you get are handwritten on the bulletin board each day by the teachers. This was difficult at the beginning when she couldn't communicate what she did each day, but as she got more comfortable, older, and more verbal, it was pretty fun matching the teachers' letters to her own accounts of the day!Overall we recommend Foster City Preschool and plan to send our younger daughter here before SMFCSD as well.”

“I can't say enough praises to this school and it's Principal!The values of the school and it's leadership and teachers are beyond believe!! The way every student and parent is treated at the school is outstanding!All subjects are taught at least 1 year above all other private schools and actually at a High schools level. The education children get at Hilldale is PRICELESS!!PLEASE, TRUST ME, IT IS WORTH YOUR EVERY PENNY AND MORE!!The discipline at school is very strict which is perfect and creates very organized and structured environment, which promotes education, not playing around. Don't take me wrong, they have lots of fun days, activities, parties, etc. "Work hard and play hard", but work is Hilldale's first priority. It gave my daughter an invaluable experience and education which prepared her for high school better than all other students in her grade from different private schools. Hilldale school leadership will always accommodate a student whether he/she is above or below the average and needs some curriculum adjustment. There are many, many more plusses and advantages at Hilldale, that i can't even fit all in this review. The most personable and amazing principal, who cares about every single child GENUINELY and is always willing to help.If you are looking for THE BEST EDUCATION in Bay Area, this school is for you!”

“I have to send a shout out to BCLC. I am enrolling my third child here, and they have always done and continue to do a stellar job. My kids have always loved it here. The teachers are patient, kind, and very experienced in dealing with the children. They have had the same staff for years. The director is very responsive. Their new protocols in light of Covid-19 are quite adequate and make me feel comfortable with having my child attend. They do crafts and projects, and have lots of enrichment activities for the kids. Unfortunately for safety, some of these are on hold for the moment due to Covid-19 but I'm sure they will be back when the time is appropriate. If you're looking for serious academics, perhaps this is not the place. They do story time, and they do projects with letters but they are not going to drill your child. It's preschool, I want my kids to enjoy themselves and interact with other children. They do talk about numbers, letters and phonics but they keep it fun and light, in an age appropriate manner.”

“My son has the most fond memory with this school.He needed a school that offers nurturing experience and this school met his needs.The teacher Kristina and teacher Mari meet him with eye-to-eye and emotionally connect with him.The parents connect with children and individually care for them.The indoor/outdoor classroom has thoughtful arrangements to promote experience in all senses- water table, bike track, shaded sand pit, toys, pretend play area, and creative art stations - just to name a few.I chuckled a bit at first when I heard 4-yo boy told me it is a 'magical place for kids'. But now I cannot agree with him more. Some of the older kids in grade school come back to this school for summer camp as helpers, as they miss it so much. It is the testament to how great this school experience is.I attribute a lot of my som's social, emotional growth to this school experience. We feel very lucky to have been part of SPNS.”

“The Carey School is a truly special place! We have been part of the Carey community for the past 6 years, our oldest just graduated, and is heading onto middle school well-prepared and as a confident student and person, while our youngest continue to grow and thrive at Carey (headed into 4th grade). The curriculum is well-rounded, and keeps the students engaged. It's clear to see the collaboration between teachers in various subjects, which makes the school experience for the students cohesive and consistent. The teachers are great at making learning fun regardless of grade and subject, and thanks to the small class sizes and student teacher ratios, they really get to know your child's strengths and weaknesses. Our children have very different personalities and learning styles, and it's been impressive to see how well each teacher knows them and ensures that they learn in a manner that is best for them individually. We continue to be impressed by Carey's commitment to investing in the faculty and community, and how the leadership makes sure that current best practices and philosophy is implemented based on science and research. For instance, there's very little (if any) homework now, and over the years there's been a greater emphasis on social justice. The Carey School continues to exceed our expectations, not only are both our children strong academically thanks to Carey, but they are kind and curious people, as well, due to Carey's focus on making sure that they provide a holistic education with the whole child in mind.”

“It was an amazing positive experience for my two kids at California Montessori School. Teachers are thoughtful, attentive and caring. Kids are really learning and growing. I still remember the first day my boy joined CMS, he knew no single english words at all. But not for long, my boy spoke english like a native and made friends at school thanks to the help of all the teachers, espeically teacher Reenu. She built the curriculum that sets kids up for success as they enter into Kindergarten and beyond. I also trust CMS to maintain a safe, clean environment that teaches kids self-responsibility. Therefore, when my younger girl turned three, i didnot hesitate a single minute to send her to California Montessori School.For those who are looking for a preschool, I cannot recommend this one enough -- thank you CMS for everything you did to care for our two kids and set them up for success!”
