Definitely a place that cares little about the animals they have there. My friend was lied to, led to believe this was innocently a place to board your fur babies. She was taken in for a job, and was rudely spoken to during the entire process. She's seen a variety of dogs with not enough food, water, shelter, or shade. This place is also holding wild animals such as bears and mountain lions for "profit". Please take your money, and business elsewhere. Preferably an ACTUAL shelter with boarding.

Based on my initial encounter with a representative, possible owner of this establishment, coupled with other negative reviews that mirror my experience, it’s probably safer to leave your pet in the care of a den of coyotes. See the reviews for yourself. Despicable!

visit family nearby this place an I can honestly say itis a puppy mill there are around 50 dogs kept in cages alone all day except to be fed cleaned an bred they don't board or take in any animals its sad. Furthermore a friend of mine inquired about purchasing a dog there ( in hopes of saving it from a lifetime in a cage) he said the women who answered sounded annoyed an rude an wanted well over a grand for a fixed adult an much more for a puppy. Please don't support terrible places like this with so many dogs in shelters, an if you're looking for a specific breed there are pet taxis that will deliver dogs from shelters nationwide to you my friend ended d up doing this an got an xl 3yo dog from Tennessee to California for $600 total including adoption fee an spayed..

Windhaven kennels in Hesperia is where we adopted a 4 year old German shepherd who was so afraid of being beaten with a garden hose that she would cower low to the ground thinking she did something wrong! We did rescue her from that ugly situation at Windhaven. She finally learned to trust us that we were not going to beat her with the hose, but to fill her swimming pool and give her fresh water to drink. Sadly, at 4 years of age she had never been taught to fetch a tennis ball or to play with any toys. She was used for breeding purposes only. In the 2 weeks we had her she truly loved her freedom away from the fly infested cage. Her ears healed quickly from being eaten by the flies. One day she squeezed through our gate and I quickly notified the kennel as she had a chip. We put flyers out and the kennel put their number on it, they didn't want our number. She was found but now the kennel owner is refusing to give us our dog back! I am pursuing small claims court. Please be careful when dealing with the Windhaven Kennels!

I wish I would have seen these reviews before we purchased a dog from Windhaven Kennels (AKA Companionpuppies.com - Royal Hearts Corgis) We took our new puppy to the Vet within 24 hours of bringing him home and he tested positive for two different parasites (including Giardia). After researching what causes Giardia I'm not at all surprised after what I saw during my visit to Windhaven Kennels. Dozens and dozens of dogs in outdoor cages. Each cage filled with days worth of feces. Not to mention that most days in Hesperia it's up over 100 degrees. Very unhealthy, heartbreaking conditions. I'm shocked that anyone would pay to have their dogs kept here. I was told that the owners have over 40 dogs that they use for breeding purposes. They are also kept outside in these same horrible conditions. I honestly can't believe this place hasn't been shut down, especially since this parasite issue seems to have been a problem for many years. Giardia is not a common thing for puppies and is NOT caused by stress. It also highly contagious for other dogs and can be even be spread to humans.

I do not recommend this place to anyone.. Called for the first time to get some prices for a cat and a dog of mine and the lady working (2.26.19-@11am) was extremely unprofessional and unfriendly... Let's start off with the fact she just answered a business number with an annoyed hello.. And i had to ask who i was calling since she didn't answer the phone with the company name... Once i did i mentioned that i was calling in regards to prices for my animals... She replied with well are you a returning customer or is this your first time, i replied with my frist time... She answered with a very unfriendly voice " well we aren't accepting new clients" and then i simply replied with okay well thank you have a nice day and hung up... But if theyre answering thier phones like that imagine how they'd take care your pets....

Terribly treated animals there. The mother's are forced to give birth every time they go into heat. There are more than 50 dogs being treated very inhumanly. Windhaven Kennel is nothing put a big fat puppy mill.

Very Dishonest people to say the least. Our puppy came with all kind of health issues and parasites. When I contacted Linda Winger she told me that none of this was covered and basically blew me off. She has way to many dogs and is just in business for the money . It cost us over 1800.00 in vet bills just to get the puppy healthy on top of the 2,000.00 we paid for the puppy. Buyer BEWARE.

Copy below of the exact email I sent to the breeder 6 days after taking our puppy home: I wanted to let you know that I feel very strongly that I need to do a yelp post and any other means I can, about your large operation. I wanted to let you know in advance so you aren't surprised. Had I know there was giardia (a very serious parasitic disease) at your facility I would not have taken the puppy. I'm fairly confident that you are aware of this issue at your facility. I feel I have put my family and my current pets at risk. I think it's only fair to let other people know, especially since in additional to the $2k he cost us, so far we have added another $1,600 in vet bills. We love Buddy but it is a financial hardship for us. It has also been very difficult emotionally on our kids and me. I fear there will be many more expenses trying to eradicate this parasite from our home and yard. Again, I wanted to let you know in advance in fairness.

I purchased a puppy from this breeder. Puppy came home with Giardia. Giardia is a parasite that infects the intestines of dogs and it has a 2 week incubation period. After having the puppy for 3 days, she presented with bloody diarrhea. I treated her at the vet right away and 2 weeks after that my other dog contracted Giardia. This breeder blamed the parasite on stress. That's a bunch of BULL! She came home with it from your dirty facility. Now I have had gross diarrhea for 3 weeks in my backyard. Thanks a bunch.
