I walked in to the Hesperia store buy a drywall sander and didn’t see one on the shelf. I asked one of the employees if there were any more, and I without looking up from a mobile device she was holding, she told me that the last one had been stolen, so they were sold out. So I went to the next nearest harbor freight and found the sander, and mentioned to the cashier there that I was relieved to find one. The cashier checked the other stores inventory out of her own curiosity and she found that they showed 6 in this (Hesperia) store. I called the Hesperia store back and checked with them, and they found them after about 10 minutes. The store wasn’t busy when I walked in. No one was dealing with anything complicated from the looks of it. I’ve been in this store a handful of times, but there are a couple of employees who have either followed me around the store while I shop, or refuse to assist me or acknowledge me, like today. I am pretty confident that I’m being treated this way because of my skin color, especially because the next customer who walked in with what looked like a return or exchange was greeted a lot more cordially than I was in my very short exchange with the Hesperia employee. I am never going back to that specific store again. Harbor Freight has been a go to for me, and it is an absolute shame that I have to go to another store now, not because there is anything better about any other store, but because the one that is most convenient for me has just enough employees who cannot treat people with respect purely because we look different.

"Overly generous staff...?" Kidding, kinda. I'm omitting certain details to protect the innocent, but basically someone on staff made an honest mistake... The same as if they had given me a wad of cash in change that didn't belong to me. 2-3 workers completely missed the mixup, so it was important to inform the manager. Not to get anyone in trouble of course, just to fix the problem.
--> Harbor Freight is an integral part of what so many people like us do for a living, we rely on it every time we are in a pinch... Think about what life would be like without this place! The Internet can't save you when you need a belt sander and an angle grinder for under $100...at 5pm!
EDIT:... Well, after a closer look at the receipt, I was overcharged $4. The cashier did not apply the clearance price for the welding wire. It's not worth the fuel, so next time I'm in, y'all owe me 4 bucks credit.

The store is not cleanly organized or cluttered. Doesn't seem to have a large selection. The parking lot is very tight. Didn't like it. Items I wanted were listed as being an in-store pickup only to find out they were on-line items after driving there.

Avoid at all costs bought a drill press that was repackaged to be sold, it was missing parts and screws were stripped. I called in and Christina was rude as Hell about the whole situation and told me to goto Victorville

We nearly always end up here to start or finish a project, after checking other sources . Just a top notch discount store with many options on how to "Get It Done!"
