Hermosa Beach Deli Manager and most of the employees in Deli Dept need to be replaced.
I purchase Turkey and cheese in the Dept about 3Xs each month. 75% of the time, sale prices are not reflected and I have to have it corrected at the register. The employees in the deli are never helpful. I bring this error to their attention each time I purchase turkey/cheese, and it still isn’t corrected. This has occurred for more than 3 months now. I can only imagine how many people are ripped off on a daily basis!
Today, as the cashier was ringing up my order, I brought this to her attention, letting her know how frustrating it is that vons continues to overcharge. This cashier walked over to the deli to have the price corrected. To make the long story short, Steve (Deli Mgr) was rude and a jerk towards the cashier that was trying to help me. As Steve continued to be obnoxious with the cashier, I’d wasted enough time on this issue and couldn’t hold back any longer. I let Steve know to just give me the correct cheese that’s on sale. I don’t care which cheese it is.
I have to give a HUGE shoutout to Jean (cashier). Not only was she extremely considerate and helpful, I was thoroughly impressed with how she kept her cool, remained calm, and yet stayed focused on the issue at hand. I was dealing with Steve that had zero customer service skills and Jeanne that was going above and beyond. I hope VONS recognizes Jeanne and also makes the necessary corrections in the Deli Dept.

Came to this Vons location to shop on Memorial Day on 5/27/23 over heard mangers and employees giving the parking lot security a hard time manager was very unprofessional just let them do there job.

Jaylen in the deli/meat department was so helpful. Talk about going the distance and out of his way to help me retrieve a cake I needed even when that’s not his department. He was still able to help me and I really appreciate him! Give this man a RAISE Vons!

Friday, 23 Feb 2024, ~10pm. The non-self-serve checkout line is manned by an elderly fellow who is wearing rubber gloves . . . . . . which was all fine and well, until he took a tissue and began wiping his nose (including digging something out, if you know what I mean), then returned to handling customer's purchases without having removed his gloves, washed his hands, then donned a new pair of gloves. Ewwww!

Vons used to be known for their customer service. Maybe it's just this location that was different. The cashier didn't say hi to the guy in front of me, or me and the in front of me was really nice to her.Maybe she was just having a bad day.

My preferred grocery store for its wide selection of fresh produce, quality products, and excellent customer service. The store is well-organized, making shopping a breeze, and the staff is always helpful and friendly.
