A+ - courtesy meets common sense human decency and affordability under one roof. My favorite vet West of literally Pasadena. Was able to see me during the thick of COVID other locations gave me appointments 60 days out. VCA is always able to see my new dogs in a few days. Thanks from me and the pups.

What a racket. We've taken our pets to different VCA locations for years and always had a positive experience. Don't trust this location. Misleading pricing estimates...and extremely rude Medical Director. Take your business elsewhere.

Cold staff. They don't care about your pets. Unhygienic conditions as well. My kitten was perfectly fine and after laying on the old, dirty towel that serves as "lining" for the examination table, she got an eye infection. The waiting time to see the doctor is ridiculous.I regret deeply taking my baby to this nasty office.Stay away if you love your fur babies.

Very disappointed Dr Weiss was cold and abrupt didn't introduce himself and was ruff with my dog insisted on putting on a muzel (she's just an 8lb chihuahua mix) and was hurting her wish I had left at that point after the exam gave me a list of tests he wanted to do for 1500. Paid for the visit and will not be back

I have always been a fan of VCA and have always taken my pets to them even though there are definitely cheaper alternatives. This VCA was great at first, but their unresponsive front of house staff are why I refuse to go back. I requested a refill for my dog's medication and after three weeks I called them to see what was going on. They let me know they "attempted" to call me once. ONCE. No voicemail, no other calle, no emails or texts. Ridiculous. I pre recently had an appointment for what I thought was a skin infection on my younger pup. I attempted to reschedule with them, unfortunately at a certain point they stopped responding to me and only called to "confirm" his appointment after I had already tried rescheduling for weeks. Very unprofessional and such an absolute waste of time trying to contact people who's literal job is to schedule appointments.

Dr. Weiss was great with my dog. Removed a fox tail from his eye and was patient and kind with me and my animal.

The BEST experience. I took my cat here for one last check of his kidney levels after he unfortunately consumed an Easter Lily. Dr. Bueno was so thorough and the office staff was SO nice and helpful. 10/10 service and I will be back.

Been going here for probably 7 years or more. Has gotten more expensive every visit. Got charged differently for X-rays and analysis my past 3 visits and every visit some tests are suggested for 500-2k. Changing vets as I’ve now spent something like 10k in the past 2 months for tests and X-rays but keep having to bring cats back. Just told me today they couldn’t do urine analysis without X-rays because they couldn’t see the problem in the blood without doing X-rays first. Place has turned into a scam. Will not be going back.

Just no. With so many veterinary clinics/hospitals in the area, there is no reason for me to return with my cat. Anyone needing a veterinarian for the first time or looking for a new office-can skip over the lame apathy, incomplete service and defensive staff. Every pet is worthy of SO much more in the way of complete exams and follow up. Kitty and I lost precious time he much needed toward proper diagnosis. VCA is also among the priciest and this clinic's staff is not up to par. Please consider a more compassionate and thorough place; you'll feel and know it as soon as your beloved is being treated!

The staff at this location has always gone above and beyond to give my pups good care in times of sickness and in health. we had several benign tumors removed from our dog in her lifetime and they were all reasonably affordable and they did a good job keeping her comfortable. When her 16 years of life was coming to an end, Dr Bueno gave me support in making the very difficult decision to put her to rest. Of course after trying everything to keep her alive and happy. The front desk staff and technicians went out of their way to get to know us all, not just the pets. I love VCA Hermosa!

Really disappointed with this pet hospital. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. So insanely expensive, I even told one of the nurses I felt like I was at the mechanic where they're constantly trying to get me to pay for extra services and just trying to get money anywhere they can. Also, DO NOT sign up for their "wellness plan"--they told us we'd save a ton of money for our older dog who's 15 years old and so we were fooled. We signed up for it and as it turned out it covered almost nothing--anytime we tried to use it for something that she needed, it wasn't covered by the wellness plan. They automatically auto-renewed our plan without notifying us and when we went to cancel it they said the only way out of it is to pay off a $500+ buyout. We are moving our older dog to another vet and still have to pay $100 a month for nothing. Already found a new vet for our younger pup, had her spayed, and spent half the amount VCA quoted us and they did a fantastic job.

STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL AND DR MCCOY!I can't explain how big of the disappointment and anxiety this hospital and Dr McCoy caused us.Currently I'm sitting at the emergency room in a different hospital because of what VCA Coast Animal and Dr McCoy put us through. My boy started having nasal discharge and excessive sneezing on mid May.The first vet we saw thought it was a bacterial infection so he prescribed antibiotics which didn't work so went back to hospital, this time Dr McCoy assigned to us. She thought he was having allergies so just prescribed him an over the counter allergy medicine but also ran his blood/urine works and X-rays. Also scheduled us for a teeth cleaning. For all those procedures, I signed up for the wellness care club plan. Between signing up to their care plan and scheduled teeth cleaning, we saw Dr McCoy two more times. First one she prescribed another round of antibiotics and the second and last visit (7/22/22) after the nasal discharge turned into bloody mucus, she said she is suspecting a tumor and when he goes under anesthesia(7/26/22), she will scope his nose to send to biopsy. And on 7/25 just 12 hours before his scheduled procedure, Dr McCoy called and canceled it saying that she is not feeling comfortable because of any possible complications may occur during anesthesia. She and her hospital dropped us just like that without even getting us an emergency appointment from a specialist. If they told us weeks ago, my golden would be seeing a specialist already. Not only they canceled the procedure and basically let us know that we are not their concern anymore, they also refused to refund the amount that I already paid for the care club.I am filing an official complaint with the Board against Dr McCoy and VCA Coast Animal and I will take every single legal action.

We got to know Dr. McCoy when she was working at the VCA in Culver City. We are thrilled to know that she is now located in the South Bay closer to us! This review is just our way of saying "Thank you" to Dr. McCoy and the entire VCA team for being such wonderful humans to us and our wonderful kitty, Dr. Dre who passed away earlier this year. You always make sure we had a pleasant experience with VCA despite Dre having mixed feelings about his visits. Lol Please know your years of kindness and sympathetic generosity for our baby up until his final moments did not go unnoticed. We will miss you but are happy our kitty is finally at peace. Just wanted to say thank you and we love you. Pets and humans are in such great hands with you all. Until our next pet. :)
