Store looks nice. Produce looks good. Acai bowl was a soup. Latte was a dark coffee with a bit of cream.

A mixed bag. High prices but generally good organic fruits and vegetables. They sell HUGE organic avacados. Unfortunately, I frequently find that many are boarderline edible or inedible and tending towards rotten inside, seemingly rotting from the inside out. This happens way too often.

I love Lazy Acres. I have lived in Manhattan Beach for over 23 years. I actually live walking distance from Lazy Acres on Artesia just a few homes down from Miracosta high school. The property Lazy Acres is on used to be the auditorium and indoor skate park where my sons attended because they are members of the church, Hope Chapel. The staff at Lazy Acres are wonderful. Robert, Danny and Pedro, along with the store associates are all really nice except for this one person named Tiffany! I went into Shop one day, and as I am bagging my own groceries, my choice, because I feel it's best to help out when you have some groceries and I did have a lot, she gets upset because I used two of the premade double bags she had prepared and put in with the other bags. She had the nerve to say to me, "You keep taking my bags!". I tried to ignore her, but she said it again And the fact that I'm bagging my own groceries...It doesn't matter if I'm doubling the bags myself or if she's bagging the groceries. I'm sure she would use the double bags or if there was a bagger available they would use the double bags. She went on and continued to argue with me how she didn't want anyone using the bags that she took the time to double. First of all, she's on the clock and the time she spends checking, doubling a bag, bagging the groceries or not, it's going to be the same for her, and I found it very rude for her to talk to me the way she did . I did contact the manager and I hope that she was spoken to about this situation. If that had been my first time in that store, and that happened to me, I would never return, because I can't believe someone could be so rude to a customer who is bagging their own groceries. I know you all are wondering why I would give the store a five star review. I did so because the store is wonderful and the staff is wonderful but it's just that one bad Apple that stood out and I wanted to bring the situation to the table and let others know.

3 Star based on customer service only only I love the store and I love looking around at all the wonderful products. The food on the hot bar is really good I loved the butternut squash risotto, the roasted root vegetables and so many of the other dishes. What I don't love their aside from things being pricey is that the people that work there are just so unfriendly! In the past two weeks I've been there twice once there was a lady at the fresh juice bar who never even acknowledged me for about five minutes and then finally somebody else came and made my drink. No apologies for me waiting no acknowledgment that I was even there. This week we went back and there was a lady outside to the floral department who kept scouting at us while we were eating outside with our dog she kept putting plants on the table next to us not once did she ever look over say hello or smile. I wanted to ask a question about the orchids but she was so unapproachable and complaining with another. This is my third time there where I encountered unfriendly employees who also are unhelpful. I prefer going to Bristol Farms or Whole Foods because there's so much nicer there even though Bristol Farms is an affiliate of Lazy Acres. Seems like such a fun store to work for not sure why everyone is so unhappy but I really dread having to ask anyone for anything there.

I was pretty excited about this place moving into the area and seeing it’s not a Whole Foods but it’s more or less the same plus they have no rewards program. Also the LACK of local produce is a bummer so much of the fruit & veg is from far away land and not USA why do we live in California a massive produce state but no groceries carry local produce? I would be much more inclined to spend the $$ had the produce selection been different but you can go to any other grocery for the same items. Also the smoothies are not good. Nothing sets this place apart besides the cleanliness and great organization. It is aesthetically pleasing, rarely busy and the people are kind. Good hot bar & salad bar options. Prob a great place for lunch!

A nice little quaint store that is comparable to Whole Foods. I stepped in to check out "the cookie." The lady at the bakery was very sweet and assured me that they are the best cookies ever. I didn't really interact with other employees however everyone was very kind. I plan on coming back to check out their food court.
