The location was wonderful. We walked to the pier one day and ubered to Redondo Beach another. We met friends there, and the common areas were great for hanging out.Note: the urban view rooms are a little noisy from the street below.

I entered the lobby and observed one of the Hotel staff (Henry) being completely berated by a hotel guest. He remained extremely calm under the circumstances, and continued to provide excellent customer service with a smile. I felt terrible for him. Aside from this, the room I had was nice, clean, comfortable, and served its purpose. The sitting area outside is beautiful and has a nice view of the beach. I didn't visit the pool area, so I can't give an accurate opinion on that. If I HAD to gripe about something, it would probably be that most places I've stayed at have at least one bottle of complimentary water in the room, alas, this one does not. I need water to take my medications at night and it would have been nice to have that. Otherwise, my stay here was ideal. Henry alone deserves 5/5 stars.

It was clean and comfortable. Room was large. Nice view. Pool and hottub were great. Wifi was pretty fast. Not sure why there is a charge to park your car at a hotel where you are staying. Also I was charged twice. Waiting to see how they rectify this.

I love Hotel Hermosa! It's a chill vibe boutique hotel! The staff is amazing and I love the area! I stay every time I'm in the LA area!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the hotel has a cool vibe. Some short-comings though… Room was dark, bed was old and some very thin walls.Great area and walking distance to the beach.

Greatest location and amenities. Central to many restaurants and the beach. We had a great stay and comfortable room.

We booked this for the tail end of our trip (2 nights) and it was very okay! Like cute boutique hotel, but likely wouldn't stay here again. The location was very close to the beaches which was nice/ convenient and there was a parking deck which was nice.Breakfast is an additional charge.Lots of construction on the first floor with rooms blocked off for "contamination area". Made my anxiety immediately sky rocket, just because like.. construction?? Or something else. Our room had issues opening, constantly. We had to ask the front desk worker to come help us at one point, cause the door just wouldn't open. That was frustrating considering the cost, and we would stand outside our room for a few minutes every time trying to get back in. Bathroom lights are every efficient, although they didn't seem to work consistently and I'd say the bathroom lights / fan were on 95% of the time we were in the room with no real way to disable to energy efficiency.Road noise is loud as it sits right at a busy intersection. We didn't use the pool, so can't speak to that. But we did sit in the hot tub for probably like 5 minutes before getting out as there was an insane amount of foam that formed (I am guessing from the chemicals), but we have a hot tub at home and both were like nope, we're good and got out.

Handicapped Room was clean and spacious to move around with a wheelchair. Everything was perfect except it said breakfast was available and it wasn't. Thankfully there was a McDonald's close by.

Stayed at this no-frills little gem for two nights for a business trip and was really happy with it. From check-in, the front desk staff were super nice and helpful, including printing out a few documents I needed for my meeting, and lending me a pair of scissors and a stapler. There was a suite we booked for our meeting that had a small kitchen, living room area and table, and a phenomenal view of the ocean. There was a powder room on the first floor and a spiral staircase leading up to the loft on the second floor where there was a full bathroom. Great for a small-ish meeting/staff retreat. If you are a light sleeper, I'd suggest bringing ear plugs in case your room is on the front side of the hotel, like mine was -- although I just kept the fan on all night and the white noise made for a great night's sleep, as did the super comfortable mattress. As I mentioned above, the place is no frills -- so you have to request maid service if staying more than one day and you need it. There aren't coffee machines in the rooms, or coffee in the lobby -- but the cafe opens at 6am (ish) and you can get really good coffee then.Hotel Hermosa is less than a half hour drive from LAX, and the prices won't break your budget. I definitely plan to return in the future.

We live locally in Hermosa Beach and booked this hotel for a couple of nights while we had our house fumigated. This Hotel looks good in pictures but beware it sits at a VERY BUSY intersection with A LOT OF NOISE. You do not want any room (odd numbered rooms like 101-109 or 201-209) that they call 'city' view rooms as they are directly adjacent to Pacific Coast Highway with a LOT of traffic noise! There is no 'city' view from those rooms! At $220+/night they are way over priced. Unfortunately any room not directly adjacent to PCH will cost $100+ more per night!Management was totally unwilling to change our ground floor room (107) that was right at the corner of the busy Artesia/PCH intersection for another room not adjacent to PCH without paying another $100+/night. We ended up cancelling and leaving. On the plus side the manager fully refunded our payment. Unfortunately we will never recommend that anyone stays here.

Great location (close to the beaches and airport), nice rooms and friendly staff. Underground parking was surprisingly spacious even with the full-size van I had. Not sure about their room service though, as I stayed there for 3 nights but no one showed up to make up my room (not that I really need it though).

My daughter and I stayed here for a weekend in June 2023. The hotel was a little run down and dingy looking but it worked for a place to sleep. The noise from the street was still audible with the door closed, but not too bad. The problem occurred when we left 2 items in the room when we checked out. I called as soon as we got home. They stated they had the items and would gladly return them to us if I purchased the return postage. I immediately purchased a label and emailed it to them. After several phone calls, one when they could no longer find the items, the. next said they would get it to us. Fast forward to Monday October 16th., they sent me a text saying they would discard items if I did not call them by Friday. I called them immediately, and I reminded them I had sent a postage-paid label in June and had yet to receive the item. I was then informed they only use FedEx. NO ONE at that hotel could just take my package and drop off at a UPS location. They never told me I had to use FEDEX, just to get a shipping label. Well, I had to pay $8 more to have UPS pick up at their location. Here is the "package" they put my dress and tank top in. My UPS driver who delivered it today (4 months later) could not believe someone would actually send a package this way. There were holes in the bag by the time I got it, lucky I didn't receive an empty bag. Hotel Hermosa you could do better.

This hotel is awful, I had a room booked here for Labor day weekend, when I came into the room I noticed that there was a spiral staircase that was so narrow and steep that I was not able to get upstairs as I am handicapped. I asked for a different room that could accommodate my handicap restrictions and the front desk clerk was so rude and basically told me that there is nothing they could do unless I was willing to pay more money. They basically kicked me out once I demanded that they accommodate my special needs. We were in the room for a total of 5 mins and they charge my credit card $500 for a broken AC unit claiming that in the 5 mins we were in the room we broke the AC unit. I will never stay here again I will never recommend this awful place to my worst enemy. Thumbs down all the way around.

A great location. Close enough to the beach to get a view, but far enough away to avoid the drunks. Decent rooms. Good service.

Booked a Spa suite, The jacuzzi tub in the room was cracked and the paint was peeling. The front desk person was very apologetic and put us in a loft suite, much nicer room with just a regular tub, but it was clean. The bed was super soft, not our cup-o-tea but at least it wasn’t a block of wood. The couch had a funk to it, they might want to replace it, we just put a spare blanket over it. It’s a pull-out couch so not very comfortable to sit in for a long time but we didn’t stay there to sit on the couch all night. The staff was really nice and helpful, if it wasn’t for them we probably wouldn’t have stayed. The hotel is nice, clean, cool areas to play pool and hang out in the courtyard. The pool and jacuzzi was clean and warm. Overall we had a great stay, would definitely book again, hopefully they’ll get a new in-room jacuzzi tub couch. Thanks!!
