Granny's is the best - they make the best roast beef and cheese sammy - toasted on a French role, with all the fixins. Can't make it any better. Plus, they now carry Mac salad, which is primo excellent too. Vok and Betty are awesome peeps and really care about their customers.

This is your spot for a quick grab and go meal. They offer sandwiches (hot/cold), breakfast, coffee, smoothies and they are in a mini grocery store so you can grab liquor, chips, or whatever you may need! The staff are super friendly and nice. They provide great recommendations if you are new to the spot! My husband got the Granny Grande (which is close to an Italian sub) we added pepperoncini and provolone cheese as recommended! I got one off the month specials, "The Linds" which was delicious! It was a hot pastrami sandwich with jalapeños, cheese, onions and a side of pickles, the husband approved!

Blown away by this spot, and the amazing people that work here! I've been on a sandwich hunt throughout Los Angeles this year and have found one of the best spots EVER at Granny's Grocery!I've never had the owner walk out, introduce herself, and personally walk me through the menu before. Talk about a warm welcome and listening to the customer in front of you (though I actually felt like we were friends by the time I left). Below is what I tried:#11, The Longboarder (With Turkey) - 5+ Stars. Love the options here and love the customizations. Ended up getting it on a French roll, toasted, with Swiss cheese and added Olives. This was packed with fresh ingredients like avocado and sprouts, delicious pickles, perfect proportions and so tasty!This spot is located in a small grocery with a retro vibe and so many great beverages and snack options. Parking was easy, got a spot right in front. Prices were really reasonable, and the wait was minimal for this hand crafted delight. Can't wait to come back, this spot is gold!

I went on a walk this morning on the South Side of Hermosa and decided to stop into Granny's for the first time ever. I have always driven past this little shop but this is the first time I have been able to stop in and order! My only regret is not coming here sooner!! The owner (I believe his name is Voc) was immediately so kind and welcoming to me. The inside of the shop is so adorable and filled with great local beach vibes. I even learned that they do community pop up events and have reading sessions for kids! My sandwich here was amazing and was packed full. I really enjoyed my time here this morning and will definitely be back! This is my new favorite neighborhood spot. Ps. They have really cool shirts and hats here!

The most above and beyond customer service experience of my entire life! My dog was having a stomach issue and I was calling various dog stores and grocery stores asking if they had canned pumpkin in stock. Nobody nearby had it, and I couldn't drive far with a sick dog and toddler. I saw Granny's Grocery on yelp and called as a last resort. Voc answered and told me they had just run out of pumpkin (I was shocked they even carried it when the large grocers didn't have it, but I now realize they have everything). Now comes the crazy part - I told him what it was for and he said that he didn't want my dog to be sick or for me to worry, and that he knew of a grocery store that had it and that he would go get it for me. I honestly thought he was kidding - who does that?! But he told me his wife Betty would be there momentarily to watch the store while he went and got me pumpkin. 30 minutes later, he called me to tell me he had it for me Even writing this review makes me want to cry with gratitude all over again! I wasn't a normal customer and didn't live nearby - he did this completely from the goodness of his heart. I walked over from my friend's to pick it up with the toddler in tow and walked into a wonderland of amazing food, wine, gourmet beverages and snacks, homemade cookies, healthy food, unique candies... the place is amazing. They even had a toy treasure chest for my Godson to choose a few prizes. These people deserve every ounce of business anyone can give them. They were so kind and thoughtful and I'm beyond appreciate of the amazing service. They also do story times outside the store with Betty reading books to children and serving treats. Check the place out, you'll be happy you did!

Love this grocery store. We live down the street and anytime we need something in a pinch it is so easy to run in here and grab it. Their sandwiches are also amazing, can't tell you how many times i've gotten their breakfast sandwich. Owners are very friendly and always happy to serve you.

Granny's Grocery is a staple to the Hermosa Beach local community. Wonderful owners and staff that will greet you with a friendly smile. With a fun beachy deli vibe, it has all your go to's. Delicious deli sandwiches, beach essentials, beer, and even merchandise! I recommend calling ahead if you know your sandwich order as the line builds up! Waiting on the shaded patio and saying hey to the locals isn't bad though either!
