“Good service, we went to buy something emergency because we forgot to take it, and the truth is we entered and left quickly, I don't know if maybe the time we went had something to do with it but it was really fast”

“They're always friendly, professional, and I never run into all of the red tape and cluelessness of Walgreens, where I've run out days before I end up getting necessary medicine. They always have it in stock or get it quickly.”

“This store is a gem. The pharmacists are very helpful with prescriptions and figuring out my drug coverage. The pharmacy techs provide good customer service. There are no lines for prescriptions and they are open in the evening. What is not to like?”

“This is a special shout out to Emily at the Costco Pharmacy Mail Order Dept. I had just had surgery and was waiting on my prescription from my local pharmacy that I told my doctor to order my medication from. Although I use Costco Mail Order for most of my medications, I use a local pharmacy for prescriptions that need to be filled immediately. I had been calling my local pharmacy over and over and waiting for hours but was told that my prescription from my doctor was in transition (or something like that). This is a Friday night and I was now freaking out, as my doctor's office was now closed. I was about to call my insurance member services when I received a phone call from Emily at Costco Pharmacy Mail Order. She told me that she received my prescription and knew it must be wrong as it was a 7-day prescription and something I would need right away! She advised me to call my local pharmacy, had me give them her number and she was able to transfer the prescription right away! I am so grateful that Emily was paying attention and was so helpful! She was so on it and deserves 10 stars for going above and beyond! Thank you, Emily!”

“Best pharmacy around. I drive four miles to use them because they are so helpful. Nicest and most professional pharmacists around. They help with the complexities of how much insurance will cover. Above and beyond.”

“Pharmacists and pharmacy techs are very rude over the phone but employees on the regular side of the store are all very kind and diligent, they're the only reason this rating is so high.”

“I have been a customer of Safeway pharmacy's for over 25 years, Glen Cove for the last 10 of those. The pharmacy staff are professional, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly! My prescriptions are always filled in a timely manner. Nina always goes above and beyond.”

“Brookvale is eveything a private pharmacy used to be, that Medicorp and Pharmacorp are trying their damndest to get rid of. Their patients are persons to them rather than some kind of generic source of 'money'. We like it that way.”

“Great service. As with any service related sector, there is a wave of people that come and go in line during peaks and low periods during the day. We happened to be there when it was busy, but the line was moving. The Pharmacist was very patient with us when explaining the instruction for our son's medication. I know it's also on the label but it helps when a human is explaining it.”

“The management for this place is very helpful and answers all your questions. U have to be 55+ to live here. It is clean and quiet. Everybody minds there own business but friendly . They have a community center there and monthly activities that you can enjoy. Also a swimming pool and jacuzzi. I go there because I am a caretaker to a resident.”

“Safeway pharmacies often have excellent prices if you use the GoodRx card. I think other discount cards also have good Safeway discounts. Unfortunately, sometimes they don’t have as much in stock as a large pharmacy does, but if they don’t, they can get it.”

“Loved this place, but as of yesterday, another closure of a small pharmacy. Really sad that all we're left with is the poor service of CVS and Walgreens and their endless lines.”

“Who buys food at Costco? How does anyone deal with all that bulk without having your kitchen explode?I buy most of my food from Costco with 1-2 trips to other supermarkets per month. I make 1-2 trips to Costco per week. I've been doing it for years and I've evolved *rules* for shopping there. Let's talk about the fresh/perishable food first. I buy one item per category (unless it's a special occasion like a party), e.g. one meat, one veggie, one dairy, etc... I notice as a rule of thumb that for many items Costco comes to roughly 60% of the supermarket cost. Don't try to overthink this. You'll spend too much time micromanaging. Pick your line in the sand and stick to it. So, if I use 60% I've broken even and don't cry about it. If I can't use it up, that item isn't a good item to buy from Costco. You also have to be willing to repackage items into more manageable sizes. What about new foods? Suppose I don't like it? That is always a problem. Take a picture of the item and buy it in your regular market. Note the price. After a while I decided this was cumbersome and time consuming and just decided to buy it at Costco. Yes, I've had to compost stuff but I've been pleasantly surprised more often. Remember to taste everything Costco offers. Here's a little meander thru Costco on one of my food shopping trips. My first stop is the towel section. Apologies for the diversion but this is how Costco turns you into an addict. I bleach my towels so they have be white and durable. I hate shopping around in the big department stores and discovering their new featured towel is flimsy. Costco keeps some items as a staple and you just buy it over and over. They've got a big stack at the end of the aisle and their stock of this item is large even for Costco. There is a coupon coming. (3 photos). Yeah, I've been buying this towel for 10 years or more. I actually skip the meat/veggies since I have a bit of meat and veggies. Stick to the discipline!A bag of frozen Kirkland strawberries keeps longer than fresh (see photo) and goes great with yogurt.I do stop by the sausages (3 photos) but do not succumb even with a coupon. Besides I'll probably be back in 4-5 days. Gotta cook everything first. Ling Ling potstickers (2 photos) - not the tastiest brand but it's Chinese New Year! Party exemption! The Kirkland yogurt - Breakfast! yum (1 photo)- Almond flour crackers - Delish but still have some others at home - had there been a coupon I would have purchased the package limit (1 photos)granola/cereal - more breakfast - makes good snacks too (1 photo)Kirkland steak strips - so economical I skip making it myself1 photo - the receipt!Of course you noticed there are hardly any perishables. You'd have to look at my shopping over a month to get the real picture. I go to Costco so often I can afford to rotate my stock a few items at a time. In short, you manage Costco exactly the same way you manage any other grocery store. You limit your purchases and buy only what you need. The only thing that changes is the timing. Costco just don't have it;No fresh herbsSuper perishable veggies (like those herbs) - most of their stock stays for at least a week, often two. Ethnic stuff - chicken's feet anyone?Less you think I have a ginormous kitchen I have exactly four cabinets.”

“The folks who work in Rite Aid in Orinda, California, provide one of the most effective, timely, and caring services that I have experienced in the past 44 years that I have been in the United States. Pharmacists and their associates particularly are incredibly polite, professional, and helpful. I strongly recommend the store to all those who live in that vicinity.”

“It’s never fun to be sick, but when I need a prescription, I couldn’t think of a better place to get it filled. .The pharmacist at the CVS in the Target in Pinole is absolutely AWESOME. She’s smart, she listens, and takes time to explain everything and anything about any of the drugs prescribed. Even if you don’t live super nearby, I highly recommend switching to the CVS @Target in Pinole on Fitzgerald Dr to get all your prescriptions filled.”

“A few days, my wife sent me in to find this French moisturizing cream. The manager of this particular location, Shelly was super helpful and went above and beyond with her customer service! Shelly opened all the totes and checked to see if the product I was searching for, was in any of them. Unfortunately we didn't find, but we found an alternative, which made my wife happy and I left with smile on my face after accomplishing my task. Thanks for all the help Shelly! You and your staff, especially the pharmacy staff are amazing! Overall 20 out of 10! Sincerely, Jonny Trinidad”
