“Went in for a brake inspection and possible replacement. After inspection, they told me that I had about 70-80% brake life left on each pad and didn't charge me anything even though I tried offering some tips for services. I was in and out of there in literally 15 minutes. They were extremely pleasant and honest about everything and my new go-to place for any future brake services when needed.In contrast, several other shops that I went to for an inspection gave me elusive answers and asked me to come at 7am to get a service or told me it would take 2-3 hours to get the brakes inspected.”

“I went to have a tire installed, balanced and mounted ($20), plus to remove the locked lug that I lost the key ($10). So, I get it all done for $30. I would have bought the tire from the store had they offered it at a more reasonable price. Also, I think they give back to the community. “A little over ten years ago I moved to the Bay Area. I've always been a car enthusiast and I do a lot of my own work, so I really appreciate clarity, honesty, and value. When I moved to the East Bay from the South Bay, I was really worried about losing my car shop. It takes so long to find a good mechanic and when you do, it's even harder to let go. After a mediocre experience at another shop in Berkeley (a story for another time), I talked to Griffin about a necessary water pump replacement on my Audi. It's a common repair on these cars unfortunately. It's also very complex and is tough work (tight spaces and fiddly parts). Griffin provided me a very reasonable estimate and stuck to their pricing. They're communicative and have an excellent shop. It's also nice to work with some folks that appreciate and know their way around aftermarket enhancements. I'll be back for my routine service. I'm very impressed and happy with the work.”

He made it easy and convenient for me to drop my car off the next morning and called me at work and told me what was going on and fixed it. Excellent service excellent work, highly recommend”

We had already replaced pads, shoes, rotors and drums.
The other repair shop, after replacing the NEW parts, told us we needed a new master cylinder.

They are so nice even with any questions I may have.
