Went there for my surrogate kids graduation. I used to ride the hills above it on my mb and never knew what it was. Id stop at the cross and look out over the city. Then one day I noticed some activity going on below so I rode my bike down a very steep trail and ended up right above where they were having the play I looked around and there was numbers on rocks all around me and then I noticed the guy on a horse trying to shoo me away from half a football field away and that was the day that I was in the Ramona pageant

When you're invited to the bowls, take a coat or light sweater it does get cold outside. There's an assortment of plays, and other activities that are performed outside, it's like a canyon on the hill overlooking the city of Hemet, I guess it was made during the western part of civilization. The city itself has been here a long while and from the looks of a, this city has that western stage coach type setting that was turned into a modern city. So basically when there's an event going on there buy a ticket take a coat and enjoy it, also bring something for your tush, the seats are kinda hard..lol

Loved the Pageant. The costumes, the music, the dancing, the horses, all the kids and especially the set . Easily the best set I've ever seen. The community spirit is so evident throughout. What an absolute gem!

Beautiful and historic. Great prices on food and drinks. The Ramona play just gets better and better while getting more authentic from year to year.

First time attending the Ramona Pageant at the Ramona Bowl. I finally made to the Ramona Pageant and in their Centennial year non the less. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and the lore of the 100 year history. The Pageant was held this year for 3 weekends, two in April and one in May. There is still time to get tickets for the final weekend this year.Things you should know:( may be subject to change)• parking is $5• bring a cushion, the concrete seats are hard. They do rent cushions for $3 apiece• bring a hat sun can be intense, hats are available for sale• food, beverages and Alcohol are sold and just like any event prices can be high.• Restrooms are available• handicap friendly• the is a free museum to enjoyEnjoy the show!

Lovely historic outdoor play. A tragic love story. Deals with racial issues in early California. Based on the book "Ramona" by Helen Hint Jackson.I recommend getting the upper box seats - separate entry, individual seats with cushions, and waiter food service. Great overall view.

Great historic play with Indian and Spanish music and culture in Hemet about San Diego history- Indians, rancheros Spanish people, and american settlers. I learnt quite a bit. Just be sure to bring a good sun hat, sunscreen, layers etc. was pretty hot and then it got pretty chilly towards the end. One elderly lady got a heat stroke and got carried out on a stretcher. 30 min intermission which seems longer than normal probably small sized bathrooms. Fair to good live musics/ musicians. Spanish and Indian Dancesparking is 5.00/ car and they sell programs and seat cushions and refreshments outside the amphitheater.Seats are concrete so you can bring your own cushions. Seems like they don’t fill up the left hand most side of the amphitheater. Top most seats at the amphitheater have shade tarps.

100th anniversary performance of Ramona. Beautiful day in a beautiful setting. The play itself was a little campy and the acting was just so so, but the weather was favorable (not too hot) and all in all a good day out.

This was our first time to see Ramona. It was so much more than we expected. The setting was beautiful, the acting professional, the staff extremely helpful. Wore our hats, rented their $3 cushions, had our concession drinks, and had a lovely time. An excellent tribute to the state of California and the city of Hemet. Highly recommend!!!

It was a unique experience to see a play in an outdoor theatre. For the price we paid ($29.00) it was reasonable. The down side was : warm weather (3:30- 5:00) and uncomfortable seating, although we rented cushions. We're glad we went, however, we won't go again or recommend it to others. Sorry. It's a dying art..
