Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital
135 Healdsburg Ave, HealdsburgDave has been my family Vet since I was 3 years old. His compassion and expertise have been consistently amazing over the 40 years I have been his client. We once had a dog tear her meninscus and PetCare (where we also have gone if it was a weekend) quoted us $4,000 for surgery. Dave said "Or you could give her pain pills and rest and see if she heals" She healed just fine. I trust this man with all of my animals. He knows intuitively when expensive measures are not necessary and when they are.
When he went into semi-retirement, I was nervous about a new doctor. But I should have known he would choose someone so special to be his successor. Dr B is just as amazing and just as capable and the kindest human. I trust her completely. I feel so very lucky to have such a caring team for my animals. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes and Dr B helped us CURE HER of her diabetes. The empathy the staff has is unparalleled to any other Vet clinic I have been to. Thank you to all of you.

Memorial Beach Veterinary Hospital
15 Healdsburg Ave, HealdsburgThank you, Memorial Beach Veterinary Hospital, for your excellent care and for treating my pet as if you had known him since he was a puppy! While in town for an extended stay, my dog developed a rash, and MBVH got us in the same day for an appointment to diagnose and offer a treatment plan. Everyone, from the receptionist to the tech and the veterinarian, was friendly, efficient, and compassionate. They took the time to listen to our concerns and completed a thorough examination. Thank you Dr. Marty and team!

When he was a puppy we were frequenting the vet’s office and the staff at Memorial beach always made themselves available, laid out all of the options and their recommendations and I so appreciate their transparency. They truly treat us like family.

Breathless Wines
499 Moore Ln, HealdsburgTucked into an industrial park far from the healdsburg square, Breathless is an oasis from the hustle. First off, the sparkling wines are delicious...:I especially love the Robledo vineyards however the late disgorged and the rose are quite nice as well. Their classic blanc de blancs is very fine as well. They offer some snack options include caviar. All super tasty. The exterior space is very bucolic even though it's next to a parking lot. Feels like wine country. The interior is charming and French inspired ....dont miss the gift shop. Some real finds there...the service is amazing and they really do a nice job tasting. The potato chips are the perfect palate cleanser. This place will leave you breathless...couldn't resist.

Blanchard Family Wines
109 W North St, HealdsburgSo glad we popped in here! We are visiting from Denver and had been to Blanchard in Denver and thought we ought to pop in here. (They have two places, one in Denver and one here in Sonoma). We did not have a reservation beforehand but the proprietor (Mark Blanchard) welcomed us warmly and had the table set for us quickly. By the way, you don’t stand at a bar here—you are welcomed to have a seat around a table to taste and enjoy the wine. He served wine liberally and spent a good amount of time chatting with us and he was a warm, fun and friendly host.
The wine was genuinely delicious across the board, and the “wine culture” component here was straight up down to earth and friendly. No snobby attitude at all. He taught us a lot about their process and it was so cool to visit such a small, family owned operation. As a military veteran I also appreciate that one of the two Blanchard Brothers is a fellow US Air Force Academy graduate/military veteran!
If you want to get fantastic wine, have a nice visit with a small, family owned winery, and support a military veteran business—come and visit!!
Mark, thank you for giving us a great time!!
