Healdsburg Veterinary Hospital
135 Healdsburg Ave, HealdsburgDave has been my family Vet since I was 3 years old. His compassion and expertise have been consistently amazing over the 40 years I have been his client. We once had a dog tear her meninscus and PetCare (where we also have gone if it was a weekend) quoted us $4,000 for surgery. Dave said "Or you could give her pain pills and rest and see if she heals" She healed just fine. I trust this man with all of my animals. He knows intuitively when expensive measures are not necessary and when they are.
When he went into semi-retirement, I was nervous about a new doctor. But I should have known he would choose someone so special to be his successor. Dr B is just as amazing and just as capable and the kindest human. I trust her completely. I feel so very lucky to have such a caring team for my animals. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes and Dr B helped us CURE HER of her diabetes. The empathy the staff has is unparalleled to any other Vet clinic I have been to. Thank you to all of you.

Memorial Beach Veterinary Hospital
15 Healdsburg Ave, HealdsburgThank you, Memorial Beach Veterinary Hospital, for your excellent care and for treating my pet as if you had known him since he was a puppy! While in town for an extended stay, my dog developed a rash, and MBVH got us in the same day for an appointment to diagnose and offer a treatment plan. Everyone, from the receptionist to the tech and the veterinarian, was friendly, efficient, and compassionate. They took the time to listen to our concerns and completed a thorough examination. Thank you Dr. Marty and team!

Spicy Vines Winery
441 Healdsburg Ave, HealdsburgSuch a splendid experience! Our host was magnificent, the presentation of the wines was spcied (!) up with stories for each wine, we even managed to watch the rehearsal of their murder mystery night of actors and people from the winery. The spiced wines were unique and right up our alley, the cheese board was totally excellent and the live music rounded up the experience. Such a great place! Congratulations to the owners!

Bollywood Kitchen
1047 Vine St, HealdsburgWe moved here from Silicon Valley a little over 2 years ago where we were surrounded by some of the best Indian food outside of Indian. The search for comparable delights here in Sonoma County had been a bust until last night at Bollywood. The service, food exceeded our expectations having failed several attempts here in the area. Samosas, curry lamb, vegetarian tikka masala, chicken tikka masala and garlic nan made for a delicious combination. As to spicy; if you don't favor heat order mild as medium is still what might be too hot for some. There is a $10 corkage, very reasonable. Dinner for 4 under $100 with the corkage. For a Saturday evening it was a little slow. Recommend going soon be Bollywood catches-on.

MacRostie Winery Estate House
4605 Westside Rd, HealdsburgExcellent wines, great views, and great service. This is how a winery tasting "experience" ought to go. We were initially a bit hesitant after arriving since the "welcome splash" of rose' was just okay and the architecture/furnishings seemed to suggest that the place was trying a bit too hard to be sleekly modern. But once we were settled on the balcony (thankful for that, since the interior seemed a bit loud) that had a panoramic view of the Russian River Valley and started tasting the main lineup of the wines, we were enchanted. Our wine ambassador, Saul, was a consummate professional and eager to explain all the differences between the vineyards for each wine. I particularly liked that they encouraged tasting different vineyards of the same varietal at the same time to better-reveal the nuances of each site--other wineries that only do sequential tastings might want to take note. The tasting was also quite substantive; we ended up with something like 8 different wines, which is very solid value. And best of all, all the wines after the Rose' were well-made and interesting, with the vineyard-specific Pinot Noirs in particular being a highlight. Will definitely put this in the rotation of local places to take visitors.

Bella Vineyards & Wine Caves
9711 W Dry Creek Rd, HealdsburgMy wife and I did the immersive wine tour yesterday with Andrew. He knows everything about the winemaking process so it was extremely informative. Whatever questions we had, or direction we wanted the conversation to go to he was happy to oblige. The winery location is beautiful, the cave is a fun place for tasting, Andrew is a great guy to chat with, and to top it off their wines are very very good. Highly recommended.

Limerick Lane Cellars
1023 Limerick Ln, HealdsburgLimerick Lane Cellars completely exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the vineyard and the charming tasting room. The interactive experience was a highlight, giving us a unique glimpse into the winemaking process and the passion behind each bottle.
But what truly elevated our visit was the exceptional service. Jeanie and Lauren were absolutely amazing! Their knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine warmth made us feel like VIPs. They were so helpful in guiding us through the tasting, answering our questions, and ensuring we had a perfect afternoon.
We highly recommend Limerick Lane Cellars to anyone seeking a memorable wine country experience. The stunning setting, combined with the top-notch service provided by Jeanie and Lauren, makes this a must-visit destination!

Blanchard Family Wines
109 W North St, HealdsburgSo glad we popped in here! We are visiting from Denver and had been to Blanchard in Denver and thought we ought to pop in here. (They have two places, one in Denver and one here in Sonoma). We did not have a reservation beforehand but the proprietor (Mark Blanchard) welcomed us warmly and had the table set for us quickly. By the way, you don’t stand at a bar here—you are welcomed to have a seat around a table to taste and enjoy the wine. He served wine liberally and spent a good amount of time chatting with us and he was a warm, fun and friendly host.
The wine was genuinely delicious across the board, and the “wine culture” component here was straight up down to earth and friendly. No snobby attitude at all. He taught us a lot about their process and it was so cool to visit such a small, family owned operation. As a military veteran I also appreciate that one of the two Blanchard Brothers is a fellow US Air Force Academy graduate/military veteran!
If you want to get fantastic wine, have a nice visit with a small, family owned winery, and support a military veteran business—come and visit!!
Mark, thank you for giving us a great time!!
