Early on when my car problem first became noticeable I thought it was an issue with tires, maybe out of balance or needing alignment. When I finally was able to replace my tires the issue persisted, and someone suggested it might be a transmission issue. I wanted to keep my business local, so looked for a place in town and with good reviews and found Healdsburg Transmission. I have to say Adolfo, the owner, is an honest, experienced and straightforward man. After a test drive he quickly identified the transmission problem as a "stutter," and he proceeded to lay out what he could do as first, less expensive steps, along with what the charge would be for that. Adolfo told me that in most cases, in his experience, the flush he was suggesting usually did the trick. It did, and I drove away a happy camper, my car was absolutely stutter-less, and I was charged exactly what Adolfo had told me. Nothing additional, no surprises. I absolutely recommend Healdsburg Transmission and Adolfo for your transmission needs.

We were pleased with the transmission work done on our old van as well as appreciated the effort Adolfo took to secure the right radiator for our van. He had noticed it leaking and bolts were loose/missing- top score for that inspection and repair. What decimated me was that upon a trip to Yosemite the next day, a hose that obviously had to be moved during radiator installation was not properly reset/clamped and gradually fell down and hit the fan which disabled the vehicle in a remote place. Then had to spend $ 200 at Pepboys in Merced to fix the hose ! ( not to mention the tow and motel) When questioned, he said it was just a coincidence but I cannot accept that- despite the hole from the fan there was a lot of wear in the same area showing that it had been rubbing for awhile. I trust in the future more attention will be placed in getting all hoses properly clamped after radiator installation.Service: Transmission

On our way down south we ran over a curb and damaged the underside of our vintage Volvo. Adolfo kindly fit us in without an appointment and put it on the hoist, straightened our bent exhaust pipe and we were good to go in no time thankfully. Great guy, wonderful service!
