We have stayed at Casa Chiquita at multiple occasion had a pleasant experience in the past but this last stay has been a fiasco of biblical proportion. First the day before our arrival we found out that construction and expansion in the pool area was going to take place which involves extensive wood cutting , drilling and hammering so a lot of noise and workers in full view) without for us to be aware or notify so. After speaking with Shantee that day she reached out to the owners to let them know that this was not acceptable and that the work could not fo on wheels we were here . Further more this house is rented with pool and spa access and use which was not possible with all the lumber and equipment stored so we were not able to have full use of the property.The main sliding door lock is broken and either the property management is as not aware or simply was not honest about it since a bar is as placed in the glide to attempt to keep the door closed and secure, however the bar was too short and anyone could slide the door 1 to 2 inches , lift it into the top glide and remove it to enter the house, or with a screw driver or a metal bar pry it open, therefore leaving the property unsecured and unsafe. When all of this was mentioned we got a lot of excuses and run around and the answer kept coming up that this is very safe area.... A very irresponsible attempt to answer for the issue.Kitchen appliances have been non operable and this is not new.The worse part is how this was handled making us , the guests feel that we were in the wrong and exaggerating the situation. Safety and comfort to The guest should and must be a priority for the owners and management company. By the way although a proper length bar/ dowel was provided 3 days later after much insistance, since the door does not have a working latch into the wall it can still be lifter vertically to open. This was a terribly disappointing experience and will strongly suggest for the company to review how they relate to clients as there was a strong lack of honesty, sense of urgency and acceptance of the issues and fact as they were more interested in making excuses than solving them, only after we got very upset did they react. WeStayed 4 nights and issues were addressed on the 3 rd night but still The lock was never repaired.

We use their services for a few of our properties. Great experience and response so far. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional property manager.

I find myself having to pursue both criminal and civil action against this firm and its principals . I would highly recommend you refrain from engaging them for anything. My tenant has paid 2 months rent and we haven't seen any payments according (blamed on illness, then a paper check went out, etc). When I pressed with their unprofessional staffer, Shana, it became necessary to terminate my relationship. My tenant is trying to make contact with them to get her deposit refunded to no avail; despite confirmation that they no longer represent us.

We were extremely impressed by Mark Madsen of Birdsong Property Management. He is professional, knowledgeable, and he responded to our need very quickly. We were considering putting our house up for rent in order to buy another property without selling our current home. Time was of the essence to make everything work out. I called Birdsong late Monday afternoon and Mark got back to me Tuesday morning. He was very courteous and said he could look at our house at 1:00. He showed up on time and answered all of our questions in a professional way. After he left, he worked with two other colleagues for several hours to develop a realistic price range for renting our home. He called me before the end of Tuesday with the information we needed to make our decision. In the end, we did not go through with the purchase of the other home so we did not need to find renters for our current home. Mark worked us into his schedule immediately when we needed him and spent several hours on our behalf with no compensation. Nevertheless, he was very gracious when I told him that we didn't need his services. We would heartily recommend Birdsong Property Management to anyone who would like to have their property rented.

Here is the update on the nightmare we are enduring. We FINALLY got our deposit check back after multiple requests. They claimed that the check must have been lost. When I get it, it is short $2100.00. I have asked multiple times for an itemized list of the expenses to justify this reduction of deposit. Considering that we couldn't use the dishwasher and the breaker would go out each time we turned on the bathroom heater, I find it odd that we were paying over $1000 a month for utilities. I was supposed to pay for a cleaner who did not contact me until two weeks before we were supposed to leave. BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
