July 2023 by Robert Rider
Went for a tasting in early July 2023. Tried 2015; 2016; 2017; 2018; 2019. Cabernet Sauvignon. We were served by a young man named Ryland who was well versed in their wines, he provided my wife and I with excellent service. He has a granular knowledge of the winemaking process but was able to explain it in easy to understand language. We went with a 2017 Cabernet.Overall I recommend Aldina wines

My wife and I visited Aldinas winery at Bacchus Landing as our second wine tasting experience in Sonoma County and immediately felt welcomed and at home. We went to another winery a few minutes away beforehand and while we enjoyed a very beautiful vista we felt rushed and like the service was a bit over-stated (and the wine wasn’t that great). Our server at Aldinas, I think named Reiland, on the other hand was approachable, relaxed and knowledgeable. He welcomed us in with a smile, and casually gave us general background on the establishment itself (opened by the original owners of Lowrider Magazine), and the wines they produce. The ambience was really friendly, with comfortable lounging areas that allowed a large family, a group of 4 or 5 women and my wife and I to relax around one another without getting in each others way. I’m no wine connoisseur, but I walked away from the experience feeling better informed about the wine I enjoyed (each one was distinct and felt really original) without ever feeling foolish for not knowing what I didn’t know coming in. And at the end, we got a chance to thank Dina (half of the Al-Dina partnership), and she was just as gracious and friendly as our server.

Enjoyed seeing the new space for Aldina with a communal tasting room. Nice to see that the space also has great outdoor seating, a wine related store, and an event space. It was also great to see Francisco and Monica who now run the winery named for their parents. Beautiful tasting room and we enjoyed sitting at the bar. Tasted some great wine especially their Cabernet Sauvignons and also learned about Journeyman Meat Co. run by a Seghesio family member. Will definitely be back and will bring more Aldina fans next time.

Bright elegant Cabernet for people that are tired of over ripe Napa Cabernet. Wine is so subjective so I really can't review the wine ( I like that over ripe Napa cab lol) but bear with me because this place was all about the experience ..... I went on a dreary Thursday, unannounced, right when Aldina opened. They were the only ones open yet so we casually came in. A cheerful gentleman named Rylin (spelling?) greeted us and took such great care of us. He was delightful. Funny, super knowledgeable, and did NOT make us feel bad for not having an appointment. We enjoyed both flights as well as some sparkling. The wines weren't my style but I think if I cellar the two I bought they'll become my style, like I said wine is SO subjective. My friend that joined me loved the wines as they were. rylin was really fantastic as were the owners who popped in as we were leaving. We enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it for those looking to try new places. Bacchus landing itself is a fresh take on a collective. It's thoughtful and well cared for. It has great potential and I look forward to more summer events.

Impeccable Cabernets! We knew nothing about this vineyard but they are a name you should know! Small family-run vineyard that truly cares about all the details - but more importantly, the wine is mouthwatering. We had the privilege of meeting and chatting up the owners and felt like we had known each other forever, just how wine tasting should be! No pretentiousness, only friendliness, quality and care. Kudos to Aldina!

We booked this tasting through Tock, not really knowing the wines or location but they had amazing reviews on their wines. It did not disappoint! Our group of 6 had an amazing experience. My younger siblings had their first wine tasting experience here and they couldn’t have had a better experience. The Bacchus Landing area is beautiful. Very clean and spacious. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating. At Aldina, the hospitality from Monica and Dina was incredible. They made my siblings feel welcomed and would walk them through the wine tasting experience for newcomers. The Cabs were amazing and the blend was delicious! I couldn’t resist and signed up to be a wine-club member. Looking forward to tasting more wines in the future.Gracias Monica and Dina!

If you're looking for a truly special experience, look no further. Aldina Vineyards is a small production winery but what they lack in volume they make up in quality. The wine maker is truly talented; she comes from a family of wine makers and has developed her own style and brings a wealth of passed down knowledge to make these wonderful wines. The wine making style employed by Belen Ceja at Aldina, has opened up my interest in Cabernets. Although the brand is a fairly new kid on the block, don't let that sway you away; the wines will surprise your senses as with every vintage year, the flavors are unique and delightful. Belen's knowledge of the chemistry, viticulture and wine making techniques allow her to make the wine without adding in the typical additives found in other red wine making techniques which cause the histamine reaction most people shy away from. So if you tend to stay away from Red wine because of a reaction (stuffy nose, headache) you wont run into that here from regular consumption.. although with wine this good, you may over indulge a bit. Aldina's focus began with Cabernet Sauvignon however they have branched out to Chardonnay and Rose in the last 2 years (first release in 2020) and I can tell you, it was a fabulous addition to their portfolio. The chardonnay is wonderful; it is far from the typical California Chard and more reminiscent of the Chablis of France. If you're not typically a Chardonnay fan ( I am not) I encourage you to try it and be ready to become a wine club member. These wines are a home run.
