My wife and I have undertaken the daunting job of upgrading our home. The first thing on the list was our kitchen appliance suite. We shopped many stores and purveyors of appliances... and I mean MANY.Our first replacement was the refrigerator. We found that this HD store and its service, personnel and subcontractors, stands apart. As indicated, we shopped refrigerators and ended up back at this HD store. Our decision was a result of selection, the sales personnel and after sales service. We purchased the refrigerator and it was installed. We were totally pleased. We then, a month later, shopped for a dishwasher. Once again, shopped around. Ended up back at this store. Again, totally satisfied.Stove/oven, same process. Done.Clothes washer, busticated. Same process, ended up at this store..... more to come... Later.

This is my spot for all my hardware needs to fix up the condo. I do hate the days I have to make more than one trip in one day here but it happens. As of late, I usually come here to pick up flowers as thank you gifts for business customers. It's always an easy in and out transaction. I only wish that there were more cashier lanes open.Review #94 of 100 in 2023.

1 star the manager Christina steals from her coworkers and then fires them when they call her out Don't go here when the manager steals from her own coworkers

This review is for the kids seaplane project day. It's FREE so you can't or shouldn't really complain. You can register online or register when you arrive. It's literally right in front of the store so you can't mix it. It's only while supplies last. They have turf and tables around so it's first come first serve regarding work space. They'll supply you the planes and paint. Don't worry parents, the paint is very easy to clean off your kids hands and arms. No employees are supervising so watch your own kids because they leave screwdrivers and hammers around the area. Again. It's FREE so you are definitely getting your money's worth. My ONLY complaint.... It's like 81 right now (high will be 95). If you look at my photos.... There is no shade. Some of us moved tables closer towards the store behind pillars so our kids didn't cook in the sun. Its was still very warm in the shade. I felt bad for the kids directly in the sun. It's Home Depot... they could have put some patio umbrellas out there for the kiddos.

I live around the corner. I always drive 5 miles down the freeway to avoid this store so that I can go to Lowes.I give them a chance every 9-12 months, and they keep failing. We're in year 8 of that.Needed 18 sheets of plywood and 9 2x4's. Asked for loading help.Plywood loaded 15 minutes after they started for no reason because I had the guy's attention and apparent commitment but he took his time. Then the big door rolled down at the loading dock (it was after dark), and they came back out 10 minutes later with someone else's order. I asked where my other wood was, and the guy said that there were so few of them that I could go get them myself. After I was left waiting around? -Not the crime of the century, but TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and a well earned one star. So bad.Go to Lowes and ask for help there.Watch what happens. If you don't know the answer, you'll be amazed, and that store is neat and clean, too.

Super unpleasant closing experience on Aug 20Never seen someone run to close the door to avoid answering a question. Wanted to ask one quick question because they weren't picking up the phone.

I ordered an outdoor bench online and it was delivered in the time that it said I would receive it. I'm really happy with it and it was easy to put together. The little table in the middle is flush when you put down and it locks in place with hooks underneath it when you put it up.So far so good hopefully it doesn't rust is it describes.

Its Homedepot, you need to know what you are in for, and be ready to advocate for yourself. I've had nothing but decently good to better than expected experiences here. I've rented carpet cleaners, and pressure washers. I've bought all manner of supplies for repairing home. Yeah, the wait to get keys cut can sometimes be long, and if you are unlucky no one will know how to use the machine, same goes for anything like that. That said, its home depot, they are your best bet for most things in that world, and this is quickly becoming the only game in town as well. None of the downtown hayward hardware stores survived the pandemic.

MARTIN THE RUDEST! returning a faucet and buying a different faucet, Martin from returns called me, I said that I just got the faucet and if I can exchange it. He said only refund and I pay as new transaction for the new faucet, and I said yes.... My tone is with curiosity and smile "so i cannot pay the difference since the one I want is $45 more" and he said no, and thats been that for years! With the look at me like Im stupid. Even my wife felt like "whats yo with him" and I said thank you after the receipt is printed out.Driving home, my wife is still annoyed how Martin interacted with us.... And to think, ACE hardware is just 1block away from us and we still prefer going to home depot. Will still support Home Depot

I was at Home Depot Hesperian, Hayward, today looking for a backdoor gate. I asked an employee doing her job, named FATIMA, she dropped what she was doing and immediately took care of me. I didn't know the name that I was looking for and she brought me around to finally end at the backdoor gates and referred me to Christina. Both were very professional yet friendly. Christina, we all the information that I gave her was able to find exactly what I was looking for and even gave me a printout of the result. I could feel the warmth of both employees and sensed the smile through the tone of their voices and body language while they were dealing with me. Thank you, Fatima, thank you, Christina. Good things, Victor

That's the 1st time I have been threatened with violence by a Home Depot associate or anyone else in retail in my life!!!!! I was shopping for external lighting when a young man, not wearing an apron, told me that they were about to gate off the aisle which they do need to do from time to time, and I understand that. I acknowledged him, but was reading a label with my bad eyes. Apparently, I was not moving fast enough, when he asked in a most belligerent and threatening manner if "I needed to be moved up on out of here?" In addition, I had entered an open aisle, and when I looked up, both gates were closed, prohibiting my leaving with my cart, like I was being challenged to some sort of cage fight. I asked what for, reminded him that I was customer, and asked if he intended to let me out, which he eventually did. Apparently, this young man gets off on being a tough guy. The reason for the 2nd star is that the customer service department and Assistant Manager were kind to me. I understand that retail is a tough job, but it would be complete folly to not immediately terminate that young man. I don't know him, but making threats and engaging in behavior that comes dangerously close to unlawful confinement has the potential to expose the institution legally and expose that store, its customers, and associates to other dangers if he tried that with the wrong person. I am extremely grateful for the kind associates. The whole experience has really rattled my nerves which I guess was that young man's intention. It's a great pity, the destructive power of one. I drove out of my way because I liked that Hope Depot, and Home Depot in general. My father worked for Home Depot before his passing. :(

Making our DIY Project so much better! Two days ago my wife and I were on a mission to build some new planter boxes. We had picked up the wood and needs a few more things. As I needed help getting more soil and Rubbermaid large containers, not only did Jairo Martin, Manny Padilla and Enrique Soteli come and help retrieve everything we needed, they also came to the register and helped us load into the car. Super impressed with these young men, who were kind, funny, hard working and local college students. It's young men like these that made this experience one to remember but thankful Home Depot invests in local talent. Thank you again Jairo Martin, Manny Padilla and Enrique Soteli!

The customer service here is horrible. The customer service booth doesn't know how to manage a line. People just crowd around the area and the employees are clueless who's next. It's hard to find an employee to just help you find something. Even when you can find someone to help you, they often can't find the item you're showing them on the app which says there's ## still in stock. I have to order online and deliver to the store just to pick it up from the locker outside 10 minutes later. I basically have to go straight to asking for a manager half the time.

GO TO LOWE'S...... Trying to call the store now. Ordered a washing maching for delivery to the Hayward store and it arrived today. When I checked my order on the website, it says it was damaged in transit. I'm just calling to see what the extent of the damage is. My plumber is the one who will be picking it up, but instead of him going all the way down there, wasing his time, if the machine is really damaged, I just want them to order me a new one. My first call rang 34 times before anyone answered. The guy on the line said I should speak to the receiving department. Fine. He told me to call back and say "receiving", so I can be transferred to that department. I did that at 2:33.. it's now 2:48 and I have still not received anyone on the line. It's now 2:49, someone picked up the phone and put me on hold. 15 minutes later, I'm still waiting. Are they that understaffed, or do the kids working there just not care? Does management know about this? Does management care? I'm still on hold and it's now 2:53pm on 5/6/22... I got all the time in the world to wait- I work from home..and now this is getting funny... I'll continue to hold and will update this Yelp review if I ever get an answer. The ringing stops, it goes to hold muzak, and then starts ringing again.. It's now 2:55.. 2:57.. phone still ringing.. 2:58 someone just picked up and put me back on hold with muzak... I'm now at almost 15 min on hold... 3:00pm.. ringing again.... 3:01- Martin answered and he's trying to find someone for me.. he sounds nice enough. I think he's stressed trying to find someone or how to transfer me. Poor guy. Zero support in his job... 3:04, another guy in appliances answered and is telling me to call customer serivce- so I explained to him that my washer is THERE and it's DAMAGED and I just need to know HOW DAMAGED it is... I've now been on the phone for 21 min 40 sec... and still waiting for someone that can help me.... I'm currently on hold with no sound/muzak... 3:07pm, still no answer 3:09pm, still on hold.. no muzak, no answer 3:10 being transferred to a manager on phone with Jacob...he's being helpful so far. but needs to let me finish my sentences...lol On hold again .. 3:12pm. He's going to visually check the packaging/washer for me. It's now 3:16.... still waiting, and I understand- he has to go from his office to the rceiving department.. that can take a while. 3:22pm disconnected - I just called back and Jacob answered the phone.. assured me that the packaging looks good and he can see no damage. Said I have 30 days to return if there are problems. We shall see how this goes...
