I highly recommend The Cobblers. I've had these Koolaburra Ugg boots for over 20 years!! The soles were completely worn out and so dirty. I couldn't just toss them away because you can't find boots like these, especially with the back braid . I had the pleasure to meet Dino. Such a nice man!! He had them for a week. He cleaned them up and added new soles and inserts. I wish I had taken before pics. These were a mess. I was amazed how clean they came out. Very reasonable prices . Highly recommend Also bought a cute pair of moccasins, too !! Thank you, Dino.

Had a pair of red bottom loafers that were in dire need of a cleaning and refurbished bottom. Wore them once and they got extremely scuffed and the bottom had some rocks and dirt stuck to it that I just couldn't clean off. Brought them to The Cobblers and within two weeks they were like new. The new bottoms aren't sticky and won't pick up any unnecessary grime. They're amazing and work wonders here.

I took my Bruno Magli boots in because the leather seemed to be separating from the sole. The gentleman told me that it was normal for the design of the boot and there was nothing to repair. I appreciate the transparency and ethical practice of not trying to rip me off. I will definitely return to this cobbler.

Bad customer service and they don’t have any of the tools that they need to do repairs. No navy blue dye, no belt cutters or belt hole punchers, no small screwdrivers to remove old and attach new buckles. Maybe they just aren’t willing to help black patrons since it appears they’re entire clientele is white!It used to be easy to find shoe repair shops but now they’ve all shutdown and frankly The Cobblers will be next. If you can’t figure out how to retain customers, you’re done.

Sent my boots for zipper puller replacements few years ago. I asked them don't change my zipper, only the zipper puller. If it's not repairable please call me to discuss.When I came to pick up, they replaced my entire zipper without call me, so my brownish boots had a black zipper replaced and left few needles holes from original zipper. And the other pair had originally brown zipper. I was so upset, because it was my favorite boots.I asked for my old zipper they said they tossed it away. I still keep the boots in my closet, every time I see them it such pain and sad feeling.I wish they can listened what customer need.

Called to discuss a bag repair and wanted to see if I can get it the same day. The person who picked was was very shrewd and I told him I need it for the same day and he said we can't do it. I told him OK no problem. I wasn't even finish with my responds to him and he hung up. Seemed really rude.

I was in need of my shoes resoled for non-slip shoes. I thought I would take a trip to Cobblers in Hayward to see if they can so such a thing and they did and the work is absolutely wonderful, the work on my shoes is very professional looking and well done! I thank you. My recommendations if you need shoes repaired for any reasons, Go to Cobbler's in Hayward. They are the best, what a job they did on my shoes. Thank You Cobbler's Debbie, Hayward

Bought a pair of boots from them about 4 years ago and the boots have been going strong. Only change the sole out every year but the boot has held up against how much I walk and travel. The elastic material has held up too, which is very surprising considering that’s usually only good for a few years. The sales team was extremely honest and helpful.

This review is for the shoe shop, not the repair center, which I have found to be reliable and quality work.The main sales person, an older middle aged man, has always been in the shop part of the Cobblers when I've gone. I've looked at their shoes several times, and every time, I find this man to be argumentative, condescending and not well informed. When I recently asked him about the significant decline in quality and durability of even the high end brands, not to mention the cheapening of materials many of us have noticed, he seems to not even have a beat on this actually being the case. I noted several brands that they actually sell to him regarding my and my husband's experiences over the last 1-20 years, and his reply was something to do with knowing the sales reps for years - what does that have to do with the quality decline? They just want you to continue to sell their shoes, they're not going to tell you their product costs more but is inferior to what they used to manufacture. He also berated me for shopping on line, which we do so we can read reviews and see also see if other consumers have had the same problems with shoes and boots or if we just got a bad pair. It was difficult to keep my mouth shut, but I wanted to say: I try to shop local, but you sir make me not want to be at your store at all. Every time I've been in here, I leave feeling this same way. Improve your personality sir, I've been in sales and customer service for over 40 years and have also run my own business for 25 and you are not a good fit for customer service.

This is a family owned/run business that has been in Hayward for over 65 years. That statement itself deserves 5 stars...If you park in the rear and walk through the door it leads directly to "Expert" amazing shoe repair. I have had over the years many shoes repaired, re-heeled and shined. I've never left without browsing through the pleather section f shies to buy. Three generations are in the establishment and they all have their expertise. Thank you Rudy and fam for maintaining and sharing your establishment with the community. You're dedication commitment and service is unparalleled and rare to find in these times..
