SP Motorsports is an incredible part of the Porsche community in the Bay Area. I recently purchased a current generation Porsche sports car and struggled to find expertise at my local shops. Most independent shops have never worked on the new generation of car so knew very little about it. I was then referred to SP Motorsports which then discovered the people here knew everything about the car, every aftermarket product available, and excruciatingly minor details. The people here have more expertise than the dealers on Porsche sports cars. I will say the price you pay here will be on the higher side, but after some conversation, I understand the reason. They have done so much work on these cars that they can predict all of the minor things that can go wrong with aftermarket modifications. They spend a lot of time testing and ensuring that modifications performed will not see issues later on and hence will put in the extra labor time to guarantee that the work is proper. As good as the work is here, there is a fun sense of community as well. On any given day you may meet other Porsche enthusiasts in the lounge area who are excited to chat about cars as much as you. Really fun times here.

The people at SP are top notch! Chasen helped me sort out what I needed/wanted for my 911 for street and light track duty. The quality of work and service is unmatched. They did uncover a few issues during the inspection but were very forthcoming about what needed to be addressed right away before tracking the car and what could continue to be monitored. The final product was absolutely spectacular in look and drive! They are the only place I will be taking my car moving forward. Thank you Chase and Team!

I received great service and support for my 992 GT3 upgrades and modifications. The team stayed in touch with me daily to provide updates. We had run into issues with hardware that I had purchased offline, but the team continued to help work thru resolution. In the end, all of the work requested was complete to the estimated provided. I highly recommend SP Motorsports, a team of true Porsche enthusiasts that will go the extra mile.

**Only giving this a one star because I have to** please advise if you are someone who is looking for the best care for your Porsche stay CLEAR of this place. Not only did they not fix the problem, but they charged us- almost 1,000$ for literally nothing. Seriously NOTHING. Not one thing was fixed. We went and CLEARLY stated we wanted to fix the parking sensor. Our main issue was the parking sensor; that's it. Chasen who is the owner btw was QUICK to send us invoices on things we didn't ask for but not responsive when we would ask follow up questions. Every phone call we had with him about the car he went around the question. He expressed that he would put a new parking sensor but we also needed a wire fixed and granted we understood WHY the wire needed to be fixed so we agreed-INITIALLY. He then sent an invoice for about 900-ish dollars we agreed because we knew both the sensor and some wire that had to do with the sensor needed to be fixed. Literally as he's working on it he sends this new invoice for things we did not ASK to be looked at or "fixed" which ultimately added and ADDITIONAL almost 5,000$!! We got on the phone with him and mind you the conversation he had with my husband was NOT the same one he had with me. Chasen made it a point to make sure he spoke to me AS IF I didn't know anything. (Talk about living up to the discrimination women feel going into body shops) he laughed at me and made fun of me when I asked him questions. I had to ask him to explain why he was adding additional charges, to which he brushed me off and went around the question. So ultimately he said he would add the new parking sensor (BUT IT WAS NOT GOING TO WORK) and if we wanted it to work we needed to pay the additional almost 5000$. So you're telling me... we're paying you almost 1000$ for what exactly??? A parking sensor that STILL DOESNT WORK, but it's NEW??? His calculations didn't make sense. He kept changing the total, and his customer service skills need a LOT of work. I shouldn't have to feel belittled by a dude in a body shop because I'm asking questions about things HE is an "expert" on apparently? Trust me the only thing this guy cares about is what kind of Porsche you drive, what year and how well off you LOOK. It's very obvious. From one Porsche owner to another IF you're looking for a place to go PLZ stay away. You'll regret it.

Every Porsche owner in the Bay Area should know about SP Motorsports. The shop itself is so impressive and the staff are top-notch professionals. They know their Porsches and can discuss any job from maintenance to mods to getting track prepped. They installed an exhaust valve controller and Soul competition over axle pipes with sound symposer delete on my Boxster GTS 4.0. I could not be more satisfied. The SP team has been there for me ever since I picked up my 997.1 C2 back in 2019.After experiencing very bad tire rub on the spring seat of the front driver side strut during a Sonoma Raceway track day, I gave Chasen a call and asked them to check out my suspension during a time that I'd be out-of-state on business. I dropped the car off on a Friday before my travel and by end-of-Monday, Chasen had diagnosed the car. We both agreed that the life of the damper had expired, and that a refresh would be ideal. The problem? I had a Laguna seca track day 1.5 weeks away from diagnosis.Luckily, Chasen was able to hook me up with what he calls, "the juice". The team set me up with Ohlins R&T coilovers + a custom alignment and setup. They setup the car for canyon/track hybrid duty complete with GT3 ride height and rake, plus increase track width via 15 mm spacers all-around. They had the car ready just 2 days before I had to take the car to Monterey County from the Bay Area.When I picked up the car, I realized that SP had transformed my car. The car had improved turn-in and stability when braking and cornering, all while maintaining compliance on the street, I simply couldn't believe it. Not only did SP deliver the goods ahead of the time I needed the car, but they also offered continued support in-case you need to make any changes at the track and beyond.That being said, I was able to take my dad out on a track day at Laguna Seca for Father's Day and managed to set a new PB using the new setup! Everyone that has ridden in my car thus far can't believe how great of a job SP did. The car drives like a dream, off-and-on the track! I bought a used 911 from Indiana, unseen. I had SP Motorsports do an inspection to ensure nothing is amiss and requested to identify any cosmetic damages that needed fixing. a/ Their inspection report came clean with no damage to the car b/ We noticed that some of the parts were hand painted to convert from matt black to body painted color I requested SP to fix this hand painting and restore the car to original. Once they started work they found more damage to the bumper which was quite surprising as that was the point of inspection. Regardless, I agreed to pay more to fix he car as long as it was made new. The work done by this shop or the paint shop they used was abysmal. There is still orange peel on the existing parts as well as on the new parts that I got painted. On top of that there is paint damage to the bumper due to unprofessional buffing. I should have known better to not get paint job done by a performance tuning shop.

I took my 2019 911 Carrera to SP Motorsports to have aftermarket tuning and parts installed. Long story short Chasen and the team are amazing. They are first of all good people, with good positive energy. They know A LOT about these vehicles and tuning which was evident by all the legitimate race cars they were working on. But, even with all of the knowledge they never made me feel incompetent or d*** for asking questions even though I’m a newbie to Porsches.Chasen in particular answered questions and made great recommendations while we went back and forth agreeing in the best parts and work to do. He also has relationships with the manufacturers they use so they were able to get relevant information for me to make decisions.I picked up my car today and all I can say is that they exceeded my expectations. My finished work included:- hardwire dashcam installation- BMC air filter install- Forgeline wheel installation with tire swap from previous wheels- KW Height adjustable spring installation- installation of front wheel spacers- suspension set up and alignment- Cobb stage 1 engine tune- Cobb PDK transmission tune- and I’m sure they put a box of smiles and laughter in the frunk cuz I can’t stop smiling when I drive.If you’re looking to have work done I highly recommend the team at SP Motorsports. Also, they took care of my Cargraphics valve controller installation and my Soul over-axle pipe installation. The car finally sounds like a sports car! SP Motorsports recently installed a Soul performance exhaust on my 992 and it blew me away! The 992 is a whole different beast now. The whole experience with SP Motorsports was outstanding- they were easy to communicate with, provided timely updates, and went above and beyond to ensure all my questions were addressed. They even offered delivery service of the car for pick up/drop off, though I didn't end up using it, and were always willing to work with my schedule. SP Motorsports did a great job of working with me on the suspension set up for my Cayman. Good understanding of Porsches and how to make them handle better on track and Autocross parking lots. The guys at SP Motorsports did an excellent job fixing the suspension on my 991.1. My Porsche was making noise every time I was turning left or right while I was driving in a parking lot.
