I called to have a box delivered that was good the driver was great.but when I called back to have it picked I couldn't get through to them I need to cancel my box for I had a stroke and I wouldn't need it I called and called and never heard back the bad customer service and when I was able to get ahold of them they Said I wouldn't get any refund not good iam sorry to say I will not recommend them?

For now, I am giving Smartbox one (1) star but hope to update it to five (5) stars. The reviews are 50/50 so I thought I'd take chance. So far, the experience has not been great. First issue was that I had a question before completing my reservation. The website gives you 15 mins to lock in the reservation. However, when I called to get some clarification, it took 25 mins for someone to answer AND, when they "answered" there was a screaming child or children but no one ever spoke. I called back and was on hold for 50 mins. This person seemed to be more helpful BUT, said the reason that I cannot book my dates is because SHE would have to call it in. She took my information down and said she would call me back the next day (Friday). THEN, said she couldn't because she is off on Fridays and would have to call me back on Saturday. I made sure to turn off the Unknown Caller block feature to make sure I did not miss her call. She never called back. By now, I'm starting to get a little anxious because I do not want to miss out on my desired dates as I would like the crates to leave before I leave to make sure they get picked up. I am leaving the state and won't be able to physically check and cannot easily come back. Soooooo, I call. The recording says they have a system issue and cannot take my call. I wait a few minutes and call back again. It says to leave a message. No one ever returned my call. The reviews are 50/50 so I am taking chance but hope this all works out. I like the rates and the fact that the facility is close to my brother's house in a bonus. Hopefully, someone calls me back on Monday before I book with someone else. Balls in your court Smartbox!

Impossible to contact by phone. Went to the listed address, they're not located there, completely different company located there.

Really difficult to contact. Yesterday, I called to book. I immediately reached the automated hold music. Waited for 1 hour and never reached a person. Opted for a call back and I still haven't received a call.

Such awful awful service. Over from Berkeley to North Carolina. Pods were weeks late arriving. Every week I would hire movers and every week the pods would not arrive. Left in summer, pods were so late it was fall, with no winter clothes. Had to buy the entire family something warm. Cost after cost. Terrible customer service. Phones never answered. Emails take days and days to get a reply. Most are out of the office replies. Left hand does not know what the right hand is doing, which is not reassuring when they have all of your belongings. Had to fight for compensation for the delay with many emails and phone calls. $2800 move and they stated they would compensate $300. That does not cover our expenses. The only positive thing I can say is that nothing arrived broken. Just very late.

Great customer service with competitive pricing. We had zero issues or problems with our rental. Their straight forward and simple process made it very easy to do business with. We will use their services again should we ever need them.

This is a review for the San Francisco group, especially Dustin. He was professional, prompt and a joy to work with. He made contact regarding when he would deliver and pickup the boxes, he even got me an extra one when I realized we needed one more in a pinch. He has been very supportive during a stressful move. I had a very good experience working with Dustin in Hayward as well as the corporate office. Dustin and the crew at Hayward where very friendly and helpful. There was a little disconnect between corporate and Hayward about the pickup date but we were not charged extra and Dustin worked with us to pick a date that was convenient for us. I would definitely use them again.

I shopped around for different storage/moving combination options and decided to go with smart box based on the price and convenience. I am so glad I did. Dustin, The guy that dropped off and picked up our boxes was so helpful. He gave plenty of notice about when the boxes would be dropped off and gave us plenty of time to load the boxes. When I had the boxes delivered at the new address, I forgot to reserve a spot on the street to unload the boxes. Dustin helped us unload the boxes from the the truck and really went above and beyond to make sure we got the boxes unloaded quickly and safely. Thank you so much!

Dustin was great to deal with and very professional. Accurate scheduling, fantastic communication, and Dustin did a great job manoeuvring around the driveway and parking a large truck on a small but very busy major road.

Overall pleased with my experience with Smartbox. With Dustin's help, the delivery process to my new apartment was smooth and painless. Dustin was professional and easy to communicate with, and he even helped me unload my box to expedite the process. It all took about an hour. I'd move with them again!
